Los Angeles Midtown Hilton Review

This is NOT a traditional Hilton experience! The hotel is very difficult to access there is no valet parking & parking is an additional $33 a day. There is also a resort fee in addition to rate. The hotel is worn & not very clean. The rooms smelled like weed & the a/c did not cool below 78F. Coming in & out of parking garage is very complicated & timely. There is urine everywhere in parking garage. Not worth money to stay here you can do way better down the road.

Excellent property and value for our 1/2 day stay prior to flying home to NZ. Would definitely stay again. Free airport shuttle was great aswell.

The parking is kind of tight when you round the corners. There was only 1 shuttle to the airport on Thanksgiving morning. What genius thought that was a good idea. The place is a lot cleaner than the cheaper lots so, I'll use them again.

Friendly staff and nice big rooms. Room Air confitioning temperature couldnt be chanded. Additonal costs of breakfast and parking.

A quick stopover before an early fight means this hotel is ideally situated. Liked the 24 hour free shuttle to the airport.

Rooms were ok, spacious enough for 4 or us. Beds were comfortable but only doubles. Bathroom was small and basic.

Staff were pleasant enough, but nothing to write home about.

Food and drinks were expensive - they have a captive market as there in nothing else local. Food was average in the sports bar, where we ate.

Overall, if the price is right then stay here.

The hotel is beautiful. The commissary and pool were my favourite spots. The staff are really kind and helpful. The food at the Commissary is delicious.

The only negative part of my experience is the fact that the hotel is camera free. You re able to use your phone to take photos but no cameras what so ever.

This was quite the disappointment as I like blogging about my travels.

If you re a blogger or photographer that prefers to uses a camera I wouldn t suggest staying at The Line. If you re just coming to relax then it s the perfect spot

The hotel is great. Staff is welcoming, room is comfortable, and the executive lounge is nice. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the shuttle took over 35 mins to get to me. Multiple hotels had multiple shuttles is seems and the Hilton only has one. Other than that, it was great

Pros: LOVED this hotel! Very clean and luxurious. The entrance is beautiful down near valet! Felt very taken care of at check in which went surprisingly fast with the line of people in front of me! Nice and close to the airport, not a hassle to get to. Didn't get to check out the pool and fitness area but I'm sure they were very nice as well! Would definitely recommend staying here!

Cons: Not many... But mainly just the elevators and parking garage where we had parked one of the nights we were there were both VERY warm.

The view of the LAX here is incredible watch planes lift off from your room. At night you can see the light of Los Angeles and the LA Times building. Your so close to the airport making your flight shouldn't be an issue. The room was nice and clean for my stay there. I recommend this hotel 100% percent

Service at bar/lounge is bad. You get overlooked if your a woman.

Great location and beautiful lobby but the room itself was merely ok for the price. Uncomfortable bed, mediocre air conditioner and heavy doors that slam and can be heard down the hall way. Was woken up several times by people entering and exciting their rooms.

The Hilton LAX offers the best long term parking for flights in/out of Los Angeles International Airport. There rates are competitive and your car is housed inside. The shuttle to/from the airport and hotel is always prompt and the drivers are courteous with helping with your bags and navigating through dense airport traffic. My favorite feature is that you can text them when you land so that your car is waiting for you when you arrive.

I had originally given the Hilton LAX long term parking 5 stars but the last several times that I have traveled, the shuttle bus pick up has taken over 30 minutes to arrive. As other nearby parking shuttles pass by multiple times, I have had to wait for the Hilton LAX.

All steel and concrete no style. Son came in from VA rented penthouse was nothing but a standard room on the top floor

Stayed here on my first trip to LA. Got to the hotel a little early and wanted to leave my things somewhere but instead the hotel looked up what was available and allowed me to check in early. Service was impeccable. The concierge was an amazing support in finding things to do and the staff was always very helpful. The hotel has a shuttle to the airport and is also linked to various site seeing trips which will pick you up and drop you back to the hotel. Very convenient. There's no doubt I'd stay here on my next trip.

Service at the bar was not the best, but the food was great. My room was great, nothing negative whatsoever to report there, the staff over all was 10/10 I every single interaction. I stayed 4 days, hosted close to 400 people and they treated us and our guests incredibly.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in this year!!! Service was very pleasant, concierge was on point every time we turned around. Got us quick check in, and had great recommendations for things we asked about. Will be back in the spring!! Awesome pizza!

Great experience, nice staff. Good atmosphere. Clean room. If you download the hilton honors app. You can pick your room ahead of time, and get a digital key. The only complaint I have is. The shuttle from LAX was unbelievably slow. I watched multiple shuttles from other hotels pass by. Could have been a off night. The hotel staff made up for it though.

I stay at this hotel probably 15-20 nights/ yr. Hotel is OK... convenient to LAX for late night arrivals and early am departure

Bartender at the Landing Bar was a complete jerk and service was horrible. Cxld my order and just went to the little cafe Instead

Really close to the airport and a short 15 min cab ride to Venice Beach. The room service food isn't that great but they have a 24hr bistro which is nice.

Gorgeous hotel and the staff were lovely and helpful. Airport shuttle runs every 15 mins.

Very helpful staff. Can tell from bathrooms in room that it is older hotel. Decor is great in room and all public areas.

Scored discounted rates. Nice rooms and amenities with great service. Grub not included.

I visit this hotel often for a conventions and I always have a great time. The location is clean, has plenty of space and the staff is professional. I haven't yet stayed at this hotel but I would guess the experience is the same.

My family loved to stay at this hotel because we could relax here. They all have complete room facilities and the room is so relaxing. The staff spoke decent English and was very polite and explained the facilities available such as free daily entry to the onsen next door as well as priority access plus low-cost rooms. Thanks for the excellent service!

Nice rooms however, very noise neighbors blasting music and fighting until 4am

Hotel is nice. The only complaint is they use sandpaper toilet paper.

The Bellhop on the morning we left was fantastic. Very friendly, helpful, and pleasing. We enjoyed talking with him

They took good care of me there and LA Airport got a lot of sleep there.

Very fancy. I skipped breakfast, was a little pricey for me to spend $20 on scrambled eggs. Otherwise a very nice stay.

The bed was hard and a little noisy. I woke up with a lot of back pain. The experience was that of a big hotel, not super friendly though very professional.

Was only here to park. There was a line to the valet. Long shuttle line took 3 shuttles before we were able to board. If you are using this service, budget about an hour to make it to your terminal.

One of nicest Hilton hotel in LA. They went through reno and I love the new look. Lounge for elite members is decent.

Update: 2/2/20 - stayed here again. Got upgraded to a suite on the executive floor which was a nice touch. Always fee awesome when treated nicely for being a diamond member for years. Added pictures from this stay.

Great place to stay. The rooms are clean, fresh, and super comfortable. The surrounding are great and the location is within walking distance of restaurants and places to just chill. The lobby is always well kept and the staff are kind. I always enjoy my stay here.

I only parked a car in the parking garage there, but the operation as a whole was run very smoothly. I would definitely give them my business in the future.

The room was comfortable, although I wasn't a fan of the modern decor. The Landings bar and lounge was nice. Good food, and excellent service. Front staff were courteous and polite. The pool area was ok. Hot tubs were low on water, so the jets shot water up, which was weird. Our room was near the elevators and every noise from the hallway was SO LOUD. The door did not muffle anything. :-( (which usually wouldn't be a problem, but there was some type of conference or convention, so the hotel was crowded and higher traffic volume in the hallways. However, for being so busy, the staff were on top of thing. The coffee bar was a crazy long line, and yet it moved quickly and efficiently. Overall, I would come back, but just ask for a room far down the hallway!

Had to wait an hour for the shuttle at LAX, then had to wait 1/2 h for getting a room (that was reserved in advance), noisy, weird elevators, ATM in lobby did not work with my visa card, no shuttle to car rentals. A HUGE disappointment

The Hilton is really pretty and a nice place to stay, but the downsides I found made it so I wouldn't give it 5 stars. The first thing that was a downside was the room me and my family had, had no mini fridge or microwave. The second downside was how long the elevators were, and I know a lot of people go through the hotel, but I've seen way faster elevators with the same congestion of people there. Then the last downside was how long it took for the valet to get the car, because it took a quarter of how long we had to wait for valet to go where to Ralph's and back. Other than these downsides it was a fun experience.

I am truly grateful and recommend this hotel to all visiting the Hilton Los Angeles Airport area.

Really nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Room didn't have a fridge, I don't know if that's because of Covid-19. Not a whole lot of channels to watch on TV either. Comfortable bed. Nice view of planes descending but didn't hear any plane noise. Bistro was open for grab and go options.

We have the pleasure of enjoying this beautiful Hotel annually for our daughter's birthday weekend. The staff is always friendly, happy and reliable. The Hotel has a pool and two jacuzzis that will keep you or the kids entertained for hours. There's also a Starbucks in the Hotel. The rooms are spacious and very clean.

Hotel amenities are nice 4 star, no microwave or fridge in room. All staff was amazing, however parking is no only expensive but hard to find parking space.

Nice airport hotel with shuttle. Many on-site restaurants and huge event spaces.

This is my favorite hotel to stay when I visit California. It s an ideal place that is not too far from attractions and different parts of Southern California. I ve stayed here in the past 3 months all 3 times lol.

Great hotel, lounge has VERY limited hours. Room service is pricey.

YOU NEED TO STOP IT.

There is one security officer: white male, thick eye brows, black glasses, possibly about 63 in age- who seems to LOVE applying surveillance on Black people. VERY DISRESPECTFUL MOUTH when you ask him why is he watching you. Because of this we check-out of the HILTON LAX. That just spoiled everything. Ruined my entire stay.

I love this hotel second time staying here. Its clean and bright. I was able to check in, open my door and check out all with my phone. That saved me a lot of time. When I arrived Friday night the security latch hook was not working g but I was to tired to address it so I just went to bed. The next day I let the front desk know and they sent in Maintenance and when I returned on Saturday night it had been fixed. My only complaint is that by checking in over the phone I had limited knowledge of where my room was located and I ended up near the elevator and the ice maker so it was quite noisy all night.

End up breaking out I cant sleep at night my whole body was itchy omg never again

This Hilton did not honor our confirmed reservation. Every other hotel was booked. They told us to "sleep on the floor at the airport," which we did. Hilton offered no assistance, nothing. Neither did Hilton respond to my email about the situation after the fact. You cannot rely on Hilton. I can't imagine booking with Hilton after this experience.

How to sweet looking out toward the tarmac on the 16th floor check-in is sometimes a problem but they now have dedicated desk for diamond and gold members or you're welcome to go to the 16th floor if you are lead status.the items at the club for breakfast or happy hour are some par so I add the $12 and eat breakfast downstairs. The cafe downstairs though has some fresh choices and is open 24 hours which is a bonus. Will eat in the morning for breakfast has been there forever and is just a great server.

Left car in parking structure during short trip away. They agreed to store some ice cream we'd brought en route in their freezer. Concierges were friendly & helpful. Lobby seemed luxurious. The entry q-code admitted us into the garage without a hitch.

Bad experience with stay and park. We reserved an overnights stay and a parking to cover our return date and time. I was very specific about the day at time I would be returning. Upon arrival at the the garage exit gate it said our parking had expired. We went back up to the front desk and said there must be a misunderstanding since our parking expired at midnight one day early. I was very specific upon check in regarding when we would be leaving the parking garage. The front desk person implied it was cleared gave me the exit stub and we left the garage. Two days later I saw a 37.00 charge for parking for one night. I was fine paying for the parking but it should have been at the extended rate not the overnight rate. Next time we'll use the Crown Plaza the rooms are nicer and the staff is more helpful. I'm a Hilton Honors regular but I'll never using this location again.

In room food delivery a bit expensive compare to it's portion that's been served

For being an airport hotel, the hotel is quite nice. The rooms are clean and quite spacious and is very clean from the room all the way to the front lobby.

Great hotel, conveniently located near LAX, with free shuttle to terminals. Staff very helpful, nice pool and jacuzzi to chill after long day...confortable bed

I can t say enough about this hotel everything was exceptional: the service the surroundings the food options the location are excellent.

The hotel was so busy and the wait to check in was long. However, the individual who checked me in was so nice and so helpful. This was awesome because as my day was coming to an end this person still had a line of twenty plus people to deal with. The hotel was very clean. The only real complaint was my bathtub did not drain quickly so that was a little gross.

Nice rooms and friendly service. Be careful parking if you're in a tall truck or suv. Their underground parking is short and tight. Automated barricade doesn't work well.
Very expensive restaurants. Very hard driving into the front driveway of hotel lobby.

Our stay at this hotel has been very good! On the 18th floor, we had a room and it was fresh, gorgeous, clean, and the view was awesome! The employees were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. I like that there are a lot of eating choices, too. I had a wonderful time at this hotel here, and I would love to come back soon.

The building and lobby area are nice, but the rooms are disappointing to say the least. The double beds are tiny. Not good for 2 adults. Couldn't get comfortable. The bathroom is barely big enough for one person. The first room they put us in, the floor was actually slanted. The head of the bed was lower than the foot of the bed. Not what I would expect from Hilton.

Nothing special and outdated, the bed wasn't very comfortable and the place is loud from hallway noise and the jets taking off on runway. And a very small bathroom. No USB plug in room.
The particular room we had, on the 3rd floor, had a patio door that opened up to the pool. That part was exceptional but only about 15 rooms had that luxury.

The parking situation was odd but not bad. The elevator operation need to be rethought. Great room. Good staff. Sad in a way but decent bar area. All in all a solid hotel

Just there for conference. Conference rooms were very nice. But not any good eating choices. Much better restaurants at Marriott, two buildings down.

Visited the Hilton for a professional conference and to stay as an overnight guest. Staff was welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. Building was clean and perfectly suited all of my needs.

It's a great place. Very convenient and the hotel staffs are very friendly.

The lobby and rooms are very well kept. The elevators were always packed but Hilton implemented a new elevator which handles the traffic well. The housekeeping was quick and kind. The 6am knock on the door for room cleaning was a little unexpected though. The parking though is not very clean. The pay system is confused as well.

$30 a night for parking and $13.00 a night for wifi. There is no place to park even for 5 minutes to check in. If you arrive here in a car there is no way to avoid paying for parking.

All that plus a line to get to the elevators. I skipped dinner and sat in my room because I didn't want to deal with the elevator nonsense again.

Very nice rooms and interior of the hotel. They held a beer tasting which was quite good. Shuttle service to airport runs every 20 minutes 24 hours a day and was very helpful in getting to airport on time. Definitely would stay here again if I visited LA or Disney.

Worst pillows I've ever slept on. The room was too warm no matter how much I turned down the thermostat.

It's a good place to stay. Rooms are nice and clean. Pool has a great view. The problem is that you enter by the mall and elevator take forever to arrive and take you to the lobby. But besides that everything is great. Being at the mall you have many options to eat. I've never had any problem with the rooms

Oh, no... My fiance and I have just booked a room. There's a photo that was taken seven (7) months ago and it clearly shows a bed bug.
I work for Los Angeles County, and I will conduct a thorough inspection of our room this upcoming weekend. This is unacceptable and GROSS!!!!

Very nice and clean rooms. Grand foyer with a bistro available for food and drinks. Location 5 mins from the airport. Nearest restaurant is dennys, IHOP and crispy creme all walkable.

Stayed overnight for a 9 layover on a flight from Pennsylvania to Hawaii. Very easy to get a shuttle to and from the hotel. Hotel was clean, secure, and had 24 hour cafe for food and beverage, which was great! Room was clean, very comfortable bed, no issues at all.

FIRST, shuttle service very adequate & convenient, check in process also adequate, just remember to add $50 a day incidentals cause it's not on your confirmation. Pics not taken, basic modern rooms, nothing special... SECOND, OVERPRICED EEEEVVVVEEERRRRYYYYTHING!!! $4.50 for a bottle of iced tea from Bistro, Room service OUTRAGEOUS, 8 wings for $19.00 AND $5 plus for a 12oz can of Ginger ale, so either order out, go out, or spend all your money there... THIRD, 1st room I got smelled damp & moldy, bed like a cardboard, changed my room (thank you), second room better as far as the smell, but fought the ac/heat system to temperature the room as desired, beds just a smidgen better (a lil less cardbiardish) and calling the front desk between 10:30p & 11:30p is useless, NO ONE answers, but when face to face, very courteous and helpful... Almost 3 years since being here and instead of improvements it's disappointments! Lol, ooooh let's not forget the new elevator system, that's where the non-room upgrade money went too

Charge for the room and still have to pay for parking everyday,not cool. Other than that the room was clean and nice.

I went here for an Expo, i didn t actually stay in the hotel, but the way they organized everything was great and the hotel itself is immaculate! Great place to go for an event for sure :)
