They provide an excellent service on a variety of free services but when it comes to health services covered by insurance they can t never get it right, I have to provide my insurance information again every other visit to the point that I m looking for a new facility.

My meds are always ready on time. My primary care physician is amazing. My therapist is equally amazing. I have a great network of professional support and feel that even with such a high volume, the entire operation of the Center is incredibly astute and accommodating. Thank you guys!

If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't of started hormone treatment this year. Obviously it's hard and frustrating at first, but after you get through it's really worth it. I have to pay up front, and cheap since I'm a college student that still lives with his parents. It's a lot cleaner, and they definitely made me feel more welcome than my original doctor.

What a waste of time...arrived in LA homeless and unemployed after my employer died...that was five months ago...and I'm still homeless and underemployed...the Center has nothing to offer mature trans women...except prejudiced business partners and broken promises...don't waste your time with the so-called Trans Empowerment case workers...

Compassion and Passion seeing how my Father worked...

Compassion and Passion seeing how my Father worked with the Hilton and also Mission Inn and my Mother a Legend and Retired LAPD! :-) During a recent one night stay December 21st at the DREAM HOTEL LA I was greeted with Respect by an Employee at the front who Kindly opened the door for me while multitasking helping another Guest Great Job Sir and THANK YOU! All during Nightlife time scene since I arrived kind of late.
The next morning I went to the Wonderful rooftop My friends who one is in the MILITARY AND THE OTHER IN THE FILM AND MUSIC INDUSTRY AND HAS WORKED WITH LEGENDARY A+ Talent JOINED me for breakfast spending their money with the Fabolous rooftop. They left and I gathered my things to take a swim. I was enjoying myself when I noticed that ithe water was spilling onto the concrete where I then noticed people walking back and forth so I am safety first given MILITARY AND LAW ENFORCEMENT FAMILY BACKGROUND. So I asked someone who turned out to be staff. Miss Laura May I ask you a favor can you please get me two towels so that I may dry this little wet area to ensure the safety of people to which I was greeted WHATS YOUR ROOM NUMBER in a slightly less who are you tone so I said Wow ok didn t know you worked here and if so I m here to protect your guest I ll just get the towels myself and I gave my name and room number Laura then left but before she left she radioed one of the Security Gentlemen Tall Man with dark hair to which he stated kind of loud possibly due to poor equipment or static What the guy in the pool he s just in the pool
Then while showering I felt eyes on me which isn t new but noticed a couple women taking photos around me so I laughed but then felt more eyes on me which felt creepy. Then we have a person named josh josh lower case and you will see why. He approached me in an aggressive walk and look and a stance that shows he was ready for action. The tall man in security was there as well and had the body language of wow I can t believe josh brought me over here. So then josh ask me what s your name to which I replied I am a servant for the Lord then he repeated and chuckled then snickered ! Excuse me do you have an issue with someone who follows the Bible and considers themselves a servant? So then he says In an aggressive tone what s your name and room number To which I replied have you talked to Laura Sir he replies yes
To which I then state Then you know my name and who I am now mind you this is all happening while I m in my skin tight pool attire showering off the pool water on a kind of chili weather yet beautiful rooftop pool in LOS ANGELES in DECEMBER!
So he then states IN A DEMEANING TONE WELL YOU WERE A GUEST LAST NIGHT YOU ARE NO LONGER CONSIDERED A GUEST
To which I ahahhaa which made the tall security Man laugh which made josh a little uncomfortable so then he states this!! Well the shower isn t to shower it s to rinse off that s it! So then I reply so the shower isn t a shower it s a rinse-shower?? Ok ok anything else s josh Josh says something I won t mention and then states no then snickers looks down and walks away! Then I gather my stuff feel SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE TO THE POINT I HAD TO HOLD MY URINE BECAUSE THERE WAS A BATHROOM THERE BUT DID NOT WANT TO SEE HIM IN THE BATHROOM IN THAT THIS TYPE OF PERSON IS A HE DID THIS SO I DID THAT TYPE! But I gathered my strength in the Lord and went and fortunately it was a single stall. So here we go... SECURITY TALL MAN THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU AND I KNOW YOU DID NOT ASKED TO BE A PART OF THIS IN THAT YOU WALKED BY ME MULTIPLE TIMES AND LET ME GO ABOUT MY DAY!! THANK YOU SIR I BELIEVE YOU DESERVE A PROMOTION.
To LAURA THANK YOU FOR TRYING TO FIX YOUR FIRST INTERACTION LET THIS BE A LEARNING EXPERIENCE PLEASE ! To little josh you made me feel uncomfortable staring at me well before I got into the so called rinse-shower then to approach a man in tights in a vulnerable state and stare in a disgusting creepy just as your tone was I don t know if you have a problem with men in tight pool attire

It s very clear they don t care about the health of their patients. I could go into great detail but that s a waste of time. If you need to get checked, go somewhere where they care about you (or at least act like they care).

They're very welcoming and easy to talk to. My counselor was patient with all my questions. I'm like a chinchilla riddled with anxiety. Really appreciated him. This place is free, so the wait can be long. Bring a book and be patient.

Great facility in the LA area. They are fast, informative and they are always very polite. Even when it s really busy. The nurses are great and in particular Reina. She is always so nice, quick you can tell she is good at her job. Thank you guys for being part of the community and helping us.

I have a love hate relationship with this place. The doctors and nurses really care about your health and well-being and they re so patient, except one male nurse. I don t know his name but he seemed so bothered waiting and calling out someone s name chewing gum. And maybe experienced one or two rude receptionist who speak to patients in an stern but aggressive-manner. But other receptionist are the kindest people who even when it s a little stressful still speak to you in a professional way

What can I say about this place, you guys are so adorable, I can see in every face the compromise, and the sense of community and the open and diverse you are blow my mind all time, from Wonder Woman to all the original looks I see, authentic modern angels , thankyou for your service, to the nurses, the doctors and everybody for make us feel there is still hope , and is stronger than any politicians o politics, you guys make them see so small, your labor make smiles everyday and that is the motor of change, no matter what is on the way, when I meet you I knowed the sense to be gay in a gay community, and that s why I am more proud than never... love you

A place of hope for the LGBTQI community is LA. They have different programs for every group of the LGBT people. I loved the creative projects and programs of the center. They have some amazing information leaflets and booklets to educate yourself.

The center is a pioneer and is an example of how an LGBT center could serve the youth.

The LGBT community in Los Angeles is very fortunat...

The LGBT community in Los Angeles is very fortunate to have a really good full featured LGBT center. They offer legal services, have numerous outreach programs for LGBT youth and seniors and of course offer HIV/STD testing on-site. In addition to the testing facilities they also have a complete medical clinic and pharmacy on-site as well. The medical clinic specializes in the care of those that are HIV positive and they will not turn away low income or no income individuals that are in need of medical care. They also have a mental health clinic with many counselors and psychiatrists to meet the mental health needs of the community. Their Youth outreach program is amazing. They have a very large facility a few miles from this location where they house and care for LGBT youth that were kicked to the streets with nothing more than the change that is in their pockets by intolerant families. They not only provide a safe and welcoming environment for these disaffected youth to pull their lives back together, they also provide job skill training so that the young men and women staying in the facility will become self sufficient and will be able to move on to a happy and normal future. That alone should score a 5 star rating for the center but until they do something about their phone tree, I feel I must knock them down to 4 stars. Yes, the phone tree really is that obnoxious.

I've been a client for over three years. I get EXCELLENT MEDICAL CARE as well as many other support services from the center. I'M ETERNALLY GRATEFUL FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE WITH SO MANY THINKS

If I could givsthis place less than one star, I would. place is so patient unfriendly. I have recieved mail for aif issistive services there which was mysteriously lost; prescriptions withheld for weeks due to clerical errors on their behalf, and any hope for decent phone assistance is futile. I am in the process of moving all of my services to Apla or AHF. I hate this place.

You just got to love this place giving back to the community just opened a brand new building you must see it it's off of Santa Monica and mccadden they are doing awesome things for everyone in the lgbtq transgender community

There's a different doctor with every visit. If you have a UTI and are in dire need of antibiotics, forget it. If you don't know your doctor ( good luck) the operator won't page the on call MD. If you know the doctor's name, it turns out to be a PA, or someone who rotated in and is gone now.

The Los Angeles Lgbt Center Rejects Legitimate Healthcare Clients Such As Myself!

I already had one (1) bad experience at another clinic that Falsely Claimed that they did Not have a doctor/nurse available to see ME Not once, but twice and Now This Clinic Has Serious Problems in dealing with patients as well!

I was sent to this clinic through the AHF Wellness Center in the Hollywood area and therefore went to visit them back on Friday, June 15, 2018 and arrived at approximately 1:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon.

When I arrived I signed in on their computer screen just to be looked at and waited only for five (5) minutes until I was told that they could Not see ME because all of their appointments to Just Be Seen Were Taken which I knew was a Big Lie!

When I was in the waiting room it was Not Even Halfway Full and therefore it was impossible that all of their appointments were taken even though you do Not Need One since most of the people there were from Walk-Ins anyway!

When I left their office I went downstairs and filed a complaint with Eric Rodriguez, their clinic manager and surprisingly he called ME at 3:45 p.m. and he basically denied how they turned ME down and chased ME away and then he offers ME an appointment to come back at 6:45 p.m. which was Way Too Late since I got so frustrated that I just went to see my Family Physician without having all of these problems just to get seen.

I will Not Go Back Here Anymore!

I personally do Not Like This Type Of Abuse when they are supposed to be Helping The Public For Free, but instead they are Turning Away Qualified Applicants/Patients!

Ridiculous!

Thank you.

Sincerely yours,

The center is amazing I go all the time. Their website and phone service is so frustrating I could cry. No way to reach a human. Conflicting reports on when they're open. Can't make an appointment or know if anyone will be there if I drop by.

It's one of the only if not THE only LGBT clinic in LA
They have a ton of healthcare and community services
Doctors and staff are helpful
Place can be a little crazy - meth addicts come here for counseling - so sometimes it's a little much.
Billing department is terrible and will make you wish for a real doctor's office.

When I started my transition from m&f on my 2 year I discover LGBT Los Angeles " They had lower my treatment comparing paying for the full price since I have health insurance .The reason I decided to come here was because my first in hormones I was paying all full price because my first special doctor was over price I could afford it she didn't accept any type of health insurance it adds up now it's about to be 3years in this amazing journey "I do recommend LGBT because I didn't know there was a help for transgender treatments what I mean by that is lower price on hormones ,get lab work ,check ups ,doctor visits. I did all my homework alone because when I ask a transgender woman where to go for help know one would tell me "I'm sharing this message because LGBT have been amazing support my journey has been coming along really well, my documents have change since I started LGBT my first doctor gave me a document to file the court after they will schedule a second appointment but also the LGBT also have. Those letters feel free to reach me I'll be creating my YouTube channel coming soon thank you again it's now close for 3 years I been in hormones

It s just a poorly run health center. Staff is dramatic & excessively snarky & they seem to work harder at finding ways not to do their jobs than simply accommodating the patient. Most providers have only entry level experience & don t really look beyond the minds eye. They really just miss the mark on quality healthcare. You re better off seeing actual doctors at full service healthcare centers.

All the care I've had here plus times using the pharmacy have been great. The only downside is no dedicated parking lot for the facility and it can get very busy and as a result it can be slow.

They are good at giving penicillin. BUT, THE STAFF TREATS GAY MEN AS CRIMINALS REGARDING STD'S. They also sponsor and host no community based Groups for support and awareness of LGBT discrimination and Targeting so we can come together as a community. This is the foundation of what started the LGBT community center. What interests are controlling the LGBT center now?
