I, have never been to los alamitos. I would like to visit los alamitos one day.l have heard a lot of good things about the race track.espically all the people that work extremely hard in makeing sure all the patrons have a very good exp.

It was a nice dinner show watching horses run while race is about 5 hours and a nice dinner and everybody's a winner

This is an old school race track. They have food and beer, and even a nice restaurant for more upscale dining. You can view the horses inside, before they go on to the track ( up close and personal...pretty cool) they have tvs everywhere. They have indoor seats to view to races, and outdoor viewing areas if you want to stand at the finish line and watch your horse speed by for a personal photo finish. The three stars is because it hasn't been updated in a while, chairs can be dirty...very old feel to everything ( not in a good way) It's advertised as family fun, but really, this is not a place for kids. There is literally nothing for them to do here. Find a babysitter, and go make some bets. Parking is an additional fee if you want to park close, but the free parking isn't far.

Great customer service and friendly staff. The catered food was also great too. The outdoor heaters kept is warm. No lines for the cashier or to get in when we arrived at 6:30pm. Their parking lot was flooded but there still was plenty of parking.

I wish that there was some kind of explanation of what all the numbers mean in the race book to help first time house racing gamblers.

The TV at our table was broken and needed to be replaced. We could barely see what was happening. Annoyingly we could also smell cigarette smoke in and out of the building.

We visit this race course for the Wienerschnitzel Wiener Nationals. Easy parking, clean facility, and very friendly employees. We go to the Vessels Club for the buffet during the event, and highly recommend it. The waitstaff is great and the food is really good. They have never disappointed us! Can't wait to come back for next year's wiener dog races!

We often go to track side cafe for breakfast, very good. Used to go to dinner there often as well. Always enjoyable. Have not been lately. Dinner daily specials and reasonable.

Fun at the races and had a great dinner in the Vessel Club

This place is freaking awesome! Especially if you're here on Sunday - $1 beers, $1 hot dogs and also $1 sodas. The entrance fee is $5 but you can also get in for $1 for the turf level. I have never been horse betting before, but it is way more fun than I've ever thought it would be. Races start at 12:45pm and go every 30 minutes until 5pm. Nine total races.

Looking for something fun to do? This place offers entertaining horse races, betting, food & drinks, all while maintaining plenty of social distancing. You won't find high prices or pretentious people here, but you will surely have a great time. I usually don't have luck with any form of gambling, but the environment here makes you feel like a winner.
If available, I recommend reserving a place in Vessels. It's a swanky part of the track with some interesting pieces of history. The menu has something for everyone and the views are top-notch.

Go to a baseball game and spend like 70 bucks for a ticket, 15 bucks for a beer and it's like three hours... OR you can go to the racetrack and it's like two bucks to get in, two bucks for a beer and you get to yell at animals all day! Plus there's a bunch of degenerates walking around to make yourself feel better about your life decisions, this place is a home run....

Great for taking someone on a date bcuz it's different it's like free parking $3 per entry fee then walk around you can smoke outside bet $2 on a horse only 10 races thurs thru Sunday fun place anytime you can have fun for under $40 to $50 17 min til each race gives you time to chat and the adreniline rush is fun cuz your both having fun great place to take a date

It's the first time I went to see horse racing and the truth. I love it even though at first I did not feel convinced. You can kill the time like in a casino, just be patient and try to post for two horses because with only one they pay you very little

Great Times At The Race Track For The Kentucky Derby

Great for a race course. Yesterday was for wagering on many other races courses, particularly The Kentucky Derby.
No racing at Los Alamitos yesterday but thorobred racing starts soon. Mid June and ends when Del Mar starts.Check the dates on line

I had a great experience in this place. It's exciting to be in a horse race. It's only a few seconds what a race takes but it's exciting. the drinks and the food is very good!

Great track with very good views. Always a fun time at Los Al. If I had more weekends off I'd be there all the time. Keep up the good work and I'll see you soon. P.S. I always win my first race of the day but today was no bueno...lost every race! Peace

Try the new bar downstairs. 5.00 dollar cover unless you own a horse. Very comfortable. Customer service is a bit slow. Food is good.

I love it here. Food prices are high. But, what do you expect, your there to spend money. It's fun to go with a group of your friends and family. I don't recommend bringing small children. Eat before you come or bring food in your purse or bag. Lots of booze and beer. If your into that. I always have fun if I win or loose.

Awesome place to enjoy a nice day outdoors on a sunny day and to have fun gambling and watching the college kids dressed up in vintage fancy clothes. Come on Sunday for Dollar Day where parking, admission, programs, beer, and hot dogs are all a buck. They used to have a lot of good bands playing in the summer. I hope they start doing that again this year.

I love GGF. Today was New Years Day and I wanted to do something low-key and fun. I found out that today was $1 New Years Day which meant I could get parking, admission, hot dogs, beers, crackerjacks each for just a mere buck. (Yeah, I bought a lot of Xmas presents to myself so I needed to spend frugally!)

It's about time I can take my son to a Horse racing venue for under $20. It's free to park, my son was free to get in. I paid 3 bucks to enter. Good job y'all! What's silly is that the people in front of me paid $5 because they thought they were rich and more important than me to pay the $5 "important people parking fee" didn't realize that I got front row "regular parking" and had to walk a painful 10 feet farther than them.

Stay far away from this beat down track. Food is expensive and nasty. Very dirty with lots of illegals and drug activity in back field. Security guys loan sharking to patrons. It s a joke!

Great place. $0 to park and $3 entrance fee; how can you go wrong. Better get there before PETA does away with California Racing.

Came to watch the Weinerdogs race in the Weinernationals competition. Always an interesting event.

Came here for their halloween festivities. I lived close by and always wanted to check it out. It was neat to see the horse run their races and see them in their stables getting ready... but I don't like smoke.. it was everywhere inside and worst outside. The halloween festivities was crowded with kids, glad they have community events to include non gambling folks but too crowded to do any of the activities they have setup.

This is a fun weekend outing, especially on Sundays where admission, parking, programs, hot dogs, BEER, soda are only $1 each. It's an enjoyable experience on a day to take in nice weather where one can just "chill" watching the horses run, place a few bets (and hope to win), and get excited with the crowd as the horses pass the finish line. The races are pretty closely spaced so it's not boring. The day we went, they had a pretty good band playing so that was topping on the cake. We saw lots of families so kids get an opportunity to see race horses at a reasonable cost.

Never in my life had I seen so much discrimination against workers in the back side and animal abuse but nobody see what really happened there

The dog races were amazing! I took my mom and family here for her birthday. We had so much fun! The place was packed. Only slight problem was the long long long lines to get any kind of drink or snack. I waited ver 45 minutes in line, when I got to the front, they only took cash. No signs anywhere! Frustrating. But it was so entertaining and exciting. We cheered all night!

Without this Google Maps tool, we would be lost all over the planet, which is why I really appreciate that there are these types of technology companies that do not get out of so much trouble

I practically grew up in this place. I never gamble, but my mom loves coming here. It's an old style race track, but it's worth stopping by.

Ok, it's a race track so make sure your expectations are quelled. The dining room was worth the fee and the food was good enough. Very friendly staff and satellite betting.

Never been 4..but made money the 1st time. Fun and I love .

Dollar days here are great for group outings with friends and/or family. there's plenty of seating in and out of the sun (you know, for vampires and Asians deathly afraid of a slight tan). lots of machines for betting in addition to cashiers for extra support.
