Los Alamitos Race Course Reviews

Well I've never been here or anywhere else like this, I'm looking for fun places and activities as a family (me and 2 kidos). Being that I'm on a desperate quest to get out of this depression I need to get out more! With 2020 already here this seems like a great first stop/attempt.... I'm looking forward to it

I've been attending races at Los Al for years. I love it. And I especially love when they have cool givaways, like cool sweatshirts or calenders for the price to get in.

Love it here. We are so lucky to be able to see horses so close to home. Very fun for kids.

Well this is no Santa Anita by any means. Yet if you are looking for a stinky place to rub elbows with gamblers from all walks of life and enjoy a salty greasy hot dog with a beer that will leave you barley fartin' all the way home then this is the place. We loved it!

Excellent place to enjoy races, friends and drinks.

I loved the horse races had lots of fun with the family. We went at night and it was great. the time in between races were short as well. It's a good stop If you are passing by. I will definitely visit again with my family.

Had a fun day here. Not too crowded but it gave the opportunity for good seats.

I personally don't agree with kids being in a facility where bets, and alcohol are allowed..

Great track and wonderful people! Just wish I could of won a race and get my picture in that Winner's Circle. Maybe next summer. Keeping the Faith.

Plenty of places to grab food and the staff was extra courteous

It is a very beautiful place I love it has delicious food and horse races I like it a lot It has fun

just recently started coming here on weekends. They let kids in and they love it. only $3. admission!!! I was going to work at 5 am monday morning and there was about 300 cars in the parking lot. What ?? I guess they were satellite betting on the horses in AUSTRALIA. couldn't believe it. They have NATHANS hot dogs (my favorite). Ilike to get my hand stamped for re-entry and walk to the liquor store (saves money).

Quiet or a hobby in the family and sometimes it is won or lost

It's so much fun. Love to go there to watch the horse races.

Fun place, Beautiful Thoroughbred and Quarter horses. Love to see the ponies run.

I love Los Al because they have great Thoroughbred AND Quarter Horse Racing. This is also my preferred venue for simulcast racing. If I am playing at home on TVG and win, I can come here to the TVG window to collect my winnings. This track has it all!

Good place to watch horses work out. Everyday from early until 10 am.

Had a blast but wish they would be more accurate and consistent on their race times and closing times on a day to day basis

Had an enjoyable time watching the quarters. Track staff is always friendly as well as the horse people.

Local lodge group went over on a bus junket and totally enjoyed a day of racing on a rainy Sunday afternoon from the Turf club. Bar service a bit spotty but menu offerings were well proportioned a d not unreasonable for a sports venue. Recommend you go down to see the paddock area and horses up close just to get a feel of the track

Everything is fine, the only bad thing is that they do not give you a chance to see the horses run by one, let only the trainer enter and not the companion, that is, the chalan but no way and they would only give one or two passes so that one Go with more broadcasts and more often, not that I don't want to give you a shot, see ahir asta, why don't we go from San Francisco and pass us back to see the horses to the ranch that is in French camp California and from there we go to the ipodromo Los Alamitos and we have to drive 6:00 hours and not only that we have to leave three days before the race and so that they do not give us two passes to be able to see the horses run that we go I think they would see Siderar give us chance to see the race to the companions of the entrant because that way they don't want to go back there until now? Just think about it and meditate on it and you will see that more participants will go there, why if you don't look and see that more participants will go flat "@atte" alejandro aguirre

Who doesn't like to see horses race really fast!!! And you get to bet on them! I had a really fun time with my friends, drinking beer and betting on horses. Food was ok, approximately $10 for a meal. Beers were about $6. Pretty cheap drinks compared to other horse tracks I've been to.

we went on a sunday so everything was $1, hot dog, beer, soda, admission, parking, program, tip sheet, etc. it was a pretty cool place. highly recommended if you haven't been to a horse race track before. clean crowd of peple, families and students. we only stayed for 2 races, but it was still a good experience considering how cheap it was. the hot dog was only okay, but it only cost $1, so can't complain too much.

Santa Anita is there now so it's double with Los Alamitos

Just a great place. It has a nice rural atmosphere about it as the last big open area on the region. "They even have real dirt and mud outside!" This is just a fantastic place. The horses don't hurt either...

The racing is rigged. Numerous times you will see jockeys hold horses to let upsets win. Do not bet this track!!

The food is incredible! Great brunch on Derby Day and special Race events. Weiner dog races are so fun for the kids !

Excellent place , fun and comfortable , horses are some of the best for this type of betting .... ENJOYABLE for the whole family.

A well worn older track. Lots of locals here just playing the ponies. No frills just people racing their horses. Nice track surface and you get to be pretty close to the action. They race TBs and QH here, which is cool to see. Low key night out at the races is what you'll get here. TVG broadcasts directly from here some nights.

I only didn't like this place because I brought my kiddo here for a Halloween youth event. We got a little lost but I was so disappointed to find some attendees without kids smoking right next to the kids with no regard and security didn't care!! We left because I refuse to subject my kid to cigar and cigarette smoke if I can prevent it. I really feel like the Halloween event shouldn't have been advertised as totally kid friendly.... ijs.... Anyway, I'd go and watch the races if I didn't have my kid with me. It did look like fun minus the drunks

It's a place to get a little stress good atmosphere

As everything has its good side and its bad side but good

I ve been coming to this bank since they ve opened and I always receive a greeting coming through the door. The level of personal attention given to all my banking needs really exceeds the 5 star rating. The friendliness of the staff at this branch is just an added bonus to the for mentioned.

Older race track. Lots of betting windows and paddock allows close access to horses and jockeys.

Small racetrack few food options and everyone is very loud.

Super safe had a blast.... lots of great memories

Any typical horse race type of people would love this place even if you don't have any knowledge about races just being hear and watching the horses is an amazing experience!!!!

My favorite weekend place especially if you go upstairs to the vessels club

Went with my grandad when I was a kid. Loved it. Looking forward to seeing the old place again. Want to take my kids!

Great place for friendly folks and cheap eats. Also if your a betting man come and play. Pick a good horse!!!

Races were not running but we had a good time. Drinks are EXPENSIVE

Great little race track. Not as big or as fancy as Santa Anita or Del Mar, but lots of fun and smaller crowds

I like horse racing and I will see them running from time to time and it is a quiet and very clean place

Dollar Days are great and fun here! Our hostess, Maria, did a fantastic job at making my experience here worthwhile. She even helped me with understanding the races so that I could place a bet with ease. The service and food here were excellent and I will definitely come back again.

What a fun place for a Sunday afternoon on a budget! $1 parking, $1 admission, $1 program, beer, mimosa, hot dogs. Mimosas tasted like OJ but it's only a dolla so cant complain! Hotdogs were small but it hit the spot.

I wasn't really at the track. I was at a racetrack to God next door at Sea Coast Grace church. come check it out!

What a great time we had! Your typical dingy horse racing venue: smokers and drinkers, cigarette butts and beer cups and race tickets all over the ground everywhere you go. It was awesome! An inexpensive good time. The track and grandstand are oriented such that you will be in full shade all day long. I definitely want to come back here!
