Longmont Recreation Center Review

This is a wonderful place for a good day of fun! They have a great variety of things to do each of them are always clean and well maintained. Great place to take a family for a swim, or a great place to get a good workout. I'd definitely come again!

Very nice and friendly facility. I wish the pool had more chairs on busier days. And it would be awesome if they mopped the family room from time to time. Overall, we enjoy coming here with our children.

Great place! Always a lot of nice people! I like to shoot hoops, lift weights, walk laps, hot tub and go in the steam room! Really a nice rec center!

I would rate higher based on all of my previous experiences, but this was my first visit as a parent. The family friendly showers aren't very toddler friendly because they blast a rough spray of water that is too loud for young ears and too intense for young skin. New, gentler shower heads can easily resolve this challenge. If I see this change, I'll update this post!

Good place to work out, walk on the track, swim, climb the wall and play some basketball. Membership or daily fee required.

I come to lift weights and use aerobic equipment. Early afternoon and late evening are the least busy.

Kids had a blast at the pool and water park. Great stop to kill anfew hours on a really hot or really cold day.

Great Lap Pool. Modern facility. Clean. Steam Room needs dimmer lights but otherwise fantastic place!

Just wanted to say that the listed hours here are incorrect, and it's not closed on Sunday. It's open till 10 pm on weekdays and 6 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Nice rec center! Class instructors are great. Large facility. Plenty of different ways to work on your fitness.

Our local rec center. For a town the size of Longmont it is outstanding. The recreation pool and lap pool are separate so you can always find a place to swim. Cardio machines are a bit crowded. Two rock climbing walls, outdoor tennis, clean locker rooms.

I've been going to the Longmont Recreation center for over 6 years and very often throughout the year. Although it is a nice facility, the staff I have a problem with. They are rude and aggressive and have been threatened to be kicked out for "running on the deck", although many witnesses saw I was only speed walking to my 2 year old child who has going to jump into the deep end. But overall, it's a good place with lot's of entertainment for everyone.

Good organized staff. Not a lot of workout equipment. But they do have lots of programs here.

Nice recreation center with heated pool with slides and a shallow area for younger persons as well as a lap pool, also a full gym with a running track, volleyball courts,basketball courts a challenging rock climbing wall, they also have a party room steam room and sauna vending machines, and they offer babysitting.

The gym membership is way to pricy and their subscription scheme is hard to understand but the staff is nice. As an added bonus if you get the monthly pass it will also work at sunset pool and the ice skating pavilion.

Don t expect the staff to help you with anything as they are too busy sitting at desk having group meetings or playing in the Phone. What a joke. Really needs cleaning also; locker room is like a lice trap.

Although I have notified the front desk previously, there are still people exercising with masks off or half on. I've yet to see any staff walking the floor, checking on adherence. The basketball courts, easily observable, are the worst offenders. That said, they do have staff who are sanitizing the equipment, which is spread out so you're not working out next to someone, except in the weight room.

Great recreation center, has basketball court, gym equipment, a pool/water park, a rock climbing wall, and much more. Very fun place to spend a day off!

I have been using the rec center for years, and I have always been happy with it. The facilities, the staff, the atmosphere are excellent. It is also very well maintained, with equipment being replaced often. Since Longmont is growing at a rapid clip, the facilities are becoming insufficient for the volume of people they serve (this is particularly noticeable in the pool and weight room). But that does not take anything from the overall experience.
