Longmont Recreation Center Review

Longmont needs another rec center for all the population growth. At times very busy and weight room is small for that many people.

Very solid rec center pool here, pretty straightforward layout as far as a drop in pool visit

Great Rec center with very friendly staff. Splash pool, lazy river, two slides, and a lap pool downstairs. The upstairs has a lot of cardio equipment and a running track. The two hours of free childcare is also great so that you can actually have some time to work out!

Love this place. The staff is exceptional and the pool is nearly pee free now that all those regrets have to make an appointment. Yehaa!!!
Seriously, wonderful and feel blessed to be able to go there.

A fun pool with a lazy river, tubes, waterslides and fountains. My kids were entertained for hours and we swam and played. Spaces are available for parties as well. The center is clean and staffed by friendly and qualified people.

Great local spot I moved today and this place was a nice bonus to living in town

Pool is great for kids. Workout room very nice. Can tend to get crowded.

This is a very nice center, I love the tennis courts, there is a skate board park, indoor activities and more.

I visited the pool with my kids. The family locker rooms were clean and well kept for the most part. The pool area is pretty large with the main pool, kids pool/play area, waterside, lazy river and hot tub. Overall its a great pool and we will be back.

Depends what you want out of this place. The sauna and steam room are cool and the pool area is nice. Cool slides and nice temperature pool, fun to hang out there. But the hot tub is not hot enough and the weight room is tiny. Really needs to be upgraded. There's only 1 bench each for bench and incline bench. There isn't one shoulder press machine. Since there's so few machines it's very hard to find open ones. Really frustrating trying to lift there. Cool it's only $5 for a day pass but I'll be looking to workout somewhere else

Well maintained and equipped facility. Appreciate a facility with a lazy river you can walk/jog/swim against when crowds aren't an issue.

Decent facility but lacks space in the fitness area.

I'm here every morning and work out till I feel good... complete facilities... and I walk my dog Boudreaux around the lake, around the tennis courts, looking for tennis balls, salamanders, crawfish, tortious... while the ducks and the geese swim...

Great kids pool area, complete with slides that toddlers can use, splash pad, fountains, waterfalls, lazy river, and some larger slides for the big kids. They have tubes as well for the biggest slide. Lots if lifeguards, lockers, pad locks are free.

This is a grate price, vary ok hours and clean. Check the webiste on holidays for that google maps is not alway right. Sauna is clean and nice. This is hands down The the best rec in Boulder county. The gym is tricky for that rules are not vary clear to everyone and can make conflict. Wish this place was open latter from 6pm on sat.

Great staff and wonderful swimming classes for kids

Awesome place but not big enough to serve the Longmont area. Very crowded and can get dirty quickly during peak hours.

Volleyball games with my 3rd grader, very nice facility!

We had our granddaughters birthday and the facilities were wonderful.

Great Rec Center, crowded locker room.
Not sure why there had to be over one hundred lockers in such a small space, the place would have been better designed with fewer and more spread out lockers.
That's my only complaint.

It has everything you need for a complete body workout swim run. Facility is always clean. employees are always friendly and readily available.

Sooo great! With it being too hot outside, having the indoor water park to go to has been wonderful. Something for every age. We went two days in a row!

I like the place to do Cardio-Running-Basquetball-Swimming-Hot Spa-Sauna.

I've came here for the pool since I was young, always a good time

Great facility. Busy but big enough that it doesn't seem crowded.

Had a great work out but pushed myself a little too hard needed some serious electrolytes but both vending machines were out of order (maybe something should be done about that?). At the front desk I told them my situation and asked if there was anything available, and all three women working the front jumped up from what they were doing to get the best thing available which was orange juice. I bought two and one (Gretchen, I believe) said I will get the second one. Sat down in the comfy chairs for a while with my OJ and felt better. Great service. Great people. The Longmont Rec Center is FILTHY!
This has been the case since I've lived here in Longmont and have gone on and off to the rec center hoping each time I won't be grossed-out and germ-ridden.

Literally every time I step foot in there it is as if it hasn't been cleaned for days. The floor is filled with clumps of black hair and muddy - it is disgusting.

I would not recommend spending money on this rec center that can't pay someone to keep it clean.

Awesome place, especially for children. However, when it comes to working out, space is a bit claustrophobic. Wall to wall machines, tightly grouped & over-occupied, not enough lanes in the pool for exercise or room in lazy pool for workout either.
I would like to like working out w/out feeling overwhelmed, but it is what it is & l am grateful Longmont has such a place. Good people on the front line, clean environment.

Great kid area. Many activities for teens. Water slides, sauna, jet pool and indoor workout areas.

Nice community/rec center. Two water slides and fountains make for a good indoor option.

I'm a senior working fulltime so I dont qualify for Silver Sneakers but I do get a good discount for it. Just joined today. $68 For three months of unlimited visits!

Clean, friendly facility with good prices and great instructors.

I went there early in the morning, the weights section is a bit small, but the spa area is really nice.

I think I look forward to going here more than my boy does . Really nice.

This is a fun family focused Recreation Center. The pool is wonderful and has activities for those young and old. I would be cautious of the lifeguards as some are young and not very careful. Specific dangerous incidents occurred and were reported to the manager and she reassured me that she would take care of the situation. That being said they are still young teenagers and some are distracted by their high school friends swimming in the pool.

They have great services, activities and different type of sports for children and adults.

Had a great time, our first time, can't wait to get back

Great local resource for GYM, basketball courts, swimming pool for kids and a lap pool and also tennis courts.

Decent for families to have a good time with their children

Great indoor kids pool open year round. Also indoor rock climbing. Many other rec activities but these two are fantastic for young kids.

Love to go swimming with my granddaughter here. Friendly staff. Clean and we'll run facility. An asset to Longmont.

My kids love to go swimming here there is a kiddie area and two water slides a nice spa only down fall of the spa is they allow the children play in it with out parent supervision there is also a wet sauna and a dry sauna... there is also a exercise area an area for baker ball and a nice little wall for the kids to climb A couple of foosball tables and a area for people to lounge! Very family friendly and all the employees are always nice

A newer recreation facility with lots of open space and new equipment. Lots of COVID precautions and definitely much less risk than going to the grocery store.

Pretty awesome place, they provide towels for the pool, and even cool family showers/changing rooms. Not the biggest kid play area, but fun for a couple of hours. Highly recommended

This is the best! They have both steam and dry sauna.

Unacceptable Desk reception. The guy there was like he was trying to shoo us away becuase WHOLE thing was rented out at a PUBLIC rec center. There is a flaw in the system and it needs to be fixed.

We had my son's football banquet here. Large room that accommodated everyone nicely. The pool and rock wall were a hit with my kids!

Not bad, we go later in the evening and its always pretty mellow then. 3.5 stars

The facility is undersized for the population it serves. It is well kept and the staff is nice.
