It's a pretty good school overall.
The tuition is cheap and depending on what you do, the education quality is quite exceptional. I personally am studying electrical engineering and my professors have all been really helpful and encouraging for success.

Cons: the campus environment during covid is pretty gloomy and depressing ngl. Most people like myself take majority online classes and hang around the apartment during class hours.
The weather here is harsh too during the winters.

If you want a good education with a positive gospel centered environment, "This is the place" (Brigham Young) - out of context.

Are there better schools? For sure, but for the price, the place is amazing. I have had some terrible teachers and annoying classes, but the great teachers and classes make up for it. As for people bagging on the honor code and rules, go somewhere else. You knew the rules and honor code when you applied for an LDS school. Don't give BYU Idaho bad reviews because they hold the standards they told you that they would before you applied. For what you are paying, you get an amazing education.

I would ignore the other reviews that are against the Honor Code. I don't have to worry about other students cheating on my work or physical violence here on campus. A great place to be, I am definitely getting my education's worth here.

Online classes are a complete and utter waste of time and money. Terrible online instruction and website interface. Not to mention, they scammed me for insurance money on a default policy I neither need, or can use. Never received any policy information until late fees had been accrued and will not refund me. I will not be returning until they fully open up and stop pandering with this Covid mess. Not the first time I've wasted money here, but it's definitely the last.

Great staff. Teachers are genuinely interested in your success. The campus is amazing and the town is great. Improvements can be made to the online curriculums. I have always heard that the online classes take 2-4 times as many hours in a week as the classes on campus do, which I can say is true. Simplifying the online classes would be a great improvement, as some classes seem totally about a heavy workload to achieve a checkmark on required classes for graduation.

The school does a lot to provide you with activities and a good experience while you are there. There is a fairly restrictive honor code that you should read over before applying but it's hardly going to get in the way of anything important. The class sizes are one of the best parts of the school, not to mention that most of my professors in the Computer Information Technology department were very successful in industry before coming to teach. I highly recommend this school.

Love the university. Professors really care about their students and all students on campus. It's an amazing environment for learning. One of the main things that makes this campus different is that most of the professor's come directly from the field they are teaching in. This really is a cool way of learning, having someone that had actually had the job you are looking for in the future and can give you real life insights and advise.

"It's another great day at BYU Idaho" -Kim B Clark
I graduated here, and absolutely loved my experiences here. The students are wonderful, the teachers are knowledgable, and the environment truly has the "Spirit of Ricks" (the Holy Ghost). I would recommend this university to anyone who is seeking higher education. Make sure to feel stop at the Cross Roads cafe if you are out this way. Their food options are great.

My favorite part about this school is that the classes aren't there to cram information into your brain. The courses and teachers are here for YOU and their goal is to help you become the best person you can. The atmosphere is incredible, and when you're among the students it feels like you're in a league of legendary people.

"We are unable to process your call due to system failure." "Please stay on the line. Your call will be answered in the order it was recieved." "Sorry, the class you absolutely must take is full already, the one that's open conflicts with another mandatory class, and we only have the two." "Sorry, we're only open during the times you have to be in class. You can make an appointment, but we only accept calls during the times you are in class." This still up my experience at this school so far.

This school is a joke! Being a kid with a learning disability this are a few simple things the school is required to do and they find a way around every single one of them if you need reader for a test they will say sure here s a list to pick from and try to work it out with them and low and behold you cant find a time to work with any of them so you don t get a reader. The staff will sing for the fist 10 mins of class and then a 5 min prayer and then 5 mins to here about the teachers week end and wow have 30 mins to learn from the teacher. And the quality of teachers is offal they pick people still going to school to teach there classes they don t even have a degree in that fluid the are teaching. If you are thinking of going to this school run and go to a accredited university.

I transferred here after taking several classes at a community college in California. I spent one semester here and transferred out with an above average GPA. During my time here a female student was raped and she reported it. Administration made a big deal of mocking her in the local newspaper and she was expelled for false claims she violated the honor code. Her family stood by her. This school gets the poorest rating for the fact administration publicly condemned a courageous woman who said NO to sexual assault.

This school is Idaho's best-kept secret. People here are incredible, price of tuition and housing are very decent, ans the offerings are very practical. Administration and faculty are very student-focused. I'm grateful to be here.

Great
