Definitely a great place to take the kids. We went there for an event planning expo and they put out an exceptional spread. The in house event staff is extremely helpful and courteous. .. the only thing is there is a parking fee for a separate parking lot, which is completely expected as to the spacial limitations of their location .. Absolutely worth the visit. Plenty of things to do around the area.

This place was so interesting! They had a lot of exhibits that's okay many different species of fish, crustaceans, and more. They also had a sea lion show that was pretty cool. This place is a definite must go if you're in the area Period.

I think it s Disgusting that they charge you full price at 13 disgusting that they charge you full price at $32 for any one 13 and over. We are just getting our jobs back and starting to open after 3 months. Most of the population lost their job , got laid off or only worked part time.
The butterfly and bird exhibit was not even open and you re not allowed in!
Plus you re only allowed to stay at the aquarium for an hour and a half maximum. Total rip off and food is over priced!
If they lowered the price like restaurants did then you would have more people wanting to take their children/ grandchildren! They could say it s a reopening special until everything is open. Sad experience! Would Not recommend!!! I should of taking the kids kayaking for 2 1/2 hours for only $55 for a double kayak !

NOT special needs friendly, tried talking to someone who is in "charge" and it was a huge disappointment. My poor child left upset and hurt from the discrimination. But this was one bad experience out of many and hopefully there will be change. My child doesnt ever want to go back but I will not let one bad experience ruin it for my child.

Great place to bring your kid. If he/she is small - make sure to carry them in a ergo or other baby carrier - small strollers are too short to see some tanks with fish and big strollers can get too bulky to go and down the stairs, plus they like to be near the fish tank and the big stroller creates a huge space between them. And don t even get me started on the aviary and the butterfly garden - amazing!!!

Aquarium was very nice, staff was very polite, but sad to say when we went to eat, Manager of the cafeteria Ms. Mary was very very rude, it was unbelievable, sad ...we forgive. I hope she don't do that to any one. May God be merciful.

My 2 year old absolutely loved it, especially the koi pond and shark tank. She's also since become enamored with Finding Nemo ("fish!") when previously she only wanted to watch Winnie the Pooh. We'll definitely be back.

Overpriced for what it is: tiny, cramped, small enclosures for the animals and not all look to be kept up.
The Good: They do a great cause for injured animals and rehabilitation and have a very nice coral reef and community fish tank (being an amateur tank owner I can relate how difficult that is to maintain)
But all that doesn't justify spending over $30 on an entrance fee for an hour of sightseeing - and you see everything in that hour, even shows. Felt nickel and dimed. And of course souvenirs and food are outrageously priced as well. And theres limited information placards near any of the exhibits explaining what's inside and what's there provides zero knowledge for children or adults. Definitely not a learning aquarium by far. Take the drive to Mystic or Baltimore. By far better choices.

First time vist.... Had to pay $10 for parking that was two or three blocks away, but there was a free shuttle bus. $29 is very pricey for two adults, thought there would have been more to see. My son who is 21 months loved it. FYI BRING YOUR OWN FOOD AND SNACKS!!! The Atlantis Cafe...lol.... that was a joke $6 for everything. Otherwise it was wonderful. We were even able to see the staff set up for a wedding.

A few friends and I did the Shark Dive experience a few weeks ago and it was amazing! Such a fun day. The instructors leading the tour were very knowledgeable and I never felt unsafe despite going into a tank full of sharks. Highly recommend!

Tickets are kinda pricey and some of the attractions i wanted to go to werent open the day we went. Still had fun looking at all the animals and fishes. The room to feed the birds was a little crazy. We were the only 2 people that went inside the room with food and they went crazy and swarmed us which was a little scary.

Omg this place never gets old. I absolutely loved it. It's hard find a place that both my kids will enjoy (3 & 14 y.o) we will definitely be returning. I just wish the ticket prices were lower! Spent over $100 on 4 of us, this is the only reason why we don't as often as we wish.

Great for all ages. Regular admission is a bit expensive in my opinion. I am able to buy discounted tickets at my local public library which is great. We take our young children several times a year. Summer has the most exhibits and activity but is also the busiest. We went the day before Christmas Eve and really enjoyed the space, letting our children lead the way and explore since it wasn't crowded.

Well get ready to get a ticket for driving in that area. Besides the expense for the actual aquarium, there are great odds of getting a bogus traffic ticket to pay your way through the town(approx $210).
I came from Nassau county to visit the aquarium with my 10 month old and 14 year old niece and was stopped by the riverhead police for burning a red light and going through a stop sign. Waow, so I suddenly became a reckless driver?
There are NO stop signs; nor did I run pass a red light.
When I got to the riverhead traffic court I realized what they do.
There were people from Brooklyn there!
RIVERHEAD.... attractions not worth it!
It was need up costing more than it was worth.

A nice variety of things to see. They have a show which is handicapped accessible. They have a nice eating cafeteria. I had soda chicken fingers and fries. A little expensive but good.

Love the local species and exhibits, while it is expanding bit by bit, I would love to see more local long island educational features. QR tag to info sheet on species, or something the kids could access at home after a visit.

My sister did the shark dive and it took four hours. I had no idea I would have to wait so long and there really wasn't much else to see. Part of the aquarium was under construction, the penguins stood along the wall farthest from the glass, the sea lions were barely visible, and otters were hiding both times I walked past. I wish there were more educational opportunities. The ice cream is super basic - skip it.

Wonderful place for hands-on experiences with the ray tank and lagoon (feeding), the touch tank and outdoor marsh. In addition, we also saw the sea lion show and got to touch a young alligator. The staff is well versed and able to answer all questions. My recommendation would be to visit mid week in the afternoon. Perfect!

Expensive for no reason. You can see better sea creatures at red lobster. The best experience going there was stopping at this Italian restaurant. Can't remember the name, but there's a stream in the back and people can feed the ducks there. Great food.

Staff was terrible. Got kicked out of the gift shop because they had a wedding coming in soon. Was told 25 minutes at the beach when we did the boat tour. Only had around 15.

The lad that was running the salt marsh was nice though. I commend him.

The staff at the front desk should be doing their job instead of chit chatting with their coworkers. I kindly ask the coordinator of the front desk at the main entrance of the aquarium to let know the staff members of the summer camp my son is going to, that my son arrived late at the aquarium. The coordinator told me that she was busy and that we have to sit and wait, we waited for 45 minutes and the entire time we watched her chit chatting with her coworker. I went back to the front desk to ask again if they can please help me,I find out that coordinator at the front desk assumed the summer camp staff pay only for the number of kids that arrived with them.So after the front desk coordinator made me waste 45 minutes waiting a different staff member at the aquarium decided to call in the speaker for my son's camp. Her job is not to assume and keep people waiting and thinking they are being help when she never did the call the first time to begin with.Very unprofessional, I wouldn't recommend anyone to this establishment and hope they hire people with better customer service training.

It's too small for a the price of admission. I also feel like they put much more $ into the catering/banquet hall rather than the aquarium. Do yourself a favor and take the ferry over to Connecticut. The Mystic Aquarium is much nicer and worth the price.
