Love it. I can always find my favorite books that I read over and over again especially Hemingway

I am just going to say I absolutely love that place. It's one of the biggest library's I have been in. Anyway they are very helpful and just kind people that work there. All there staff is even the female cop that works there sorry I just have never been to place were they have cops in library or even in some convenient stores.

I love this library. It's huge and full of resources and helpful staff.

These folks are very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is conducive to learning.

Even though there are a lot of homeless people in front of the enterence when you go you can have a lot of fun becauae they have very many programs

Great children's section with lots of activities for the kids. The summer reading program was fun. Only downside is the homeless people loitering outside.

But it's a mess right now as the area is going through renovation.

Been to LB for years and we mostly go to BELMONT SHORE LBPL. Got amazed how humongous this LIBRARY is. Lots of resources, to explore, including Miller Special Collection ROOM and the STUDIO where we could print 3D objects and experience VIRTUAL REALITY...

Great collection of periodicals and books. Friendly staff. But lots of homeless people outside so bit scared to go.

The Maker Lab downstairs is amazing and the staff is incredibly helpful.

I use it for my sign language online computer when all are quiet

I use the internet for 2 hours and borrow books here. Nice place to spend your free time browsing and learning.

The staff is exceptionally helpful and very pleasant.

Every one of the workers at the library are extremely rude and lazy, the few computers they have are always taken. And the very few plug ins are ether taken or dont work. I over heard a lady from the help desk yelling at a young man about sleeping on the floor (though he was in nobody's way.) poor kid looked exhausted, and a few moments later a lady security gard (very rude African american) walking around walks past multiple people ( African Americans aswell)sleeping at tables taking up the whole table so only they can use the outlets. Bathrooms are always nasty. Seems like people are taking baths in the stall. They only have one stall per restroom. Thats inside the library, but just trying to walk up to it you could possibly be robbed or stabbed or jumped seems like theres nothing but drug dealers and gang members sitting right outside harassing everyone who walks in or out. So dirty always trash everywhere from the people who are alowed to sit outside and loiter. And cause an unsafe unclean environment. Security needs to do there jobs and get rid of the rift raff. Instead of bothering someone who wasnt bothering anyone.. Ill be using a different library from now on. Unless they can fix the problem!

Went to a mini drone event there. very nice facility even though they're putting in a new library and tearing down this one what seems to make no sense to me. The library staff was helpful and friendly

I needed to reinstall Microsoft office on my laptop to do some homework my internet at home is painfully slow and Starbucks wasn t Any help went to the library it s clean a few homeless people who don t bother you there s charging ports, very quiet,sat down did my thing the download speed made Anything I ever used look like a joke and I was able to print out my papers right after 10/10 would come again

I have one question, so i owe 90 for books that my 2 little cousins lost but since this is the new library, does all those fees you owe go away or they stay

The library is calm, clean, and spacious. Their selection of children's books is great. They have a designated area for children to play and read. The staff here are really friendly and make a conscious effort to get to know visitors by name.

I am a new patron. I was assured that the system would notify me of due dates. Also, it was to offer an option to renew. I have checked out many items and returned them w/o an issue. However, one item had an email notice that warned of an upcoming due date and asked if I wanted to renew. I did. There was no response. I replied that there was no response. I sent a second email about that non response. I have been levied a fine. What is the point of email messages if you are not going to interact with the patron?

When open at "old" Library .. was great .. now not so much .. sorry

The library at the corner of Ocean and Pacific Aves,is an older library and is moving into a whole new facility just near 1000ft.Away! They have it still open and the activities to do at this library and the staff are all in a fun days trip here!ALOT to be involved in like crafts,3D modeling, graphic art sessions and more!

I keep wondering what is in the water in Long Beach that makes everybody rate any currently open office or business 4 stars. I have been here twice...very limited selection as everything is spread out amongst various branches. Seems like there is only one copy of everything. Add the fact that last time I was there (today) there were 2 piles of vomit on the entry walk, a guy sitting on his own urine and a lady screaming "sand ni****s". It is more than just homeless, it is the mentally ill population's toilet. Get with it Long Beach, these people need help, not a place to excrete in public.

I have had great experiences at the library downtown long beach . I love going because they have a great selection of materials for all. Also I love how large the library is it has a lot of places to sit ,read, and relax. I try to go every other week. I enjoy the time I spend there.

It is being upgraded. But the way I see it is that there are a lot of homeless people that disturbed me when I wanted to study.Also
The carpets smelled bad.

I tried to finish up my college project by using their computer, but you are allowed only 2 hrs per day of usage. My laptop data system failed me that's why I was there. Not good for someone learning more.

The staff are friendly. They speak to everyone who walks in. The library has a great amount of material and it s in a convenient location. Right at the downtown bus station and directly across from the Long Beach train station. There is homelsss people that rest outside but they don t cause trouble.

Okay so I was half way through filling out a job questionnaire when the computer just logged me off, so I moved to my right to an available computer. I logged in my account # and pin Didn't run out of time so why did my computer log me out? as I was doing so the lady across the way just so happens to lean forward and starts to shake her breast lol.. I still like mine best but If your that desperate I think people need to get off the computer and Find Someone Like Themselves. lol I feel sorry for you honey...

I LOVE LONG BEACH PUBLIC LIBRARY ITS A PLACE WEAR THE LIBRARY IS HUGE MANY RESEARCH THIER TO HELP ME OUT

Their building a new one and the old one still open but will be shut down in early January. It is one of my favorite libraries but I bet the new one will be much better.

Great library. It s in the process of moving as of 2/12/19 so it s closed at the moment!

It is a wonderful place to go for peace and quiet as well as borrowing books, DVDs, and music CDs. I go whenever I can and I use their computers there. All you need is your library card number and a personal PIN to login and use the computers. You get two hours on it.

The library and it's staff are great. It's clean, modern and has a lot to offer. However, before you walk in the rain, or drive (and find out there is currently a construction project underway on beach which has eliminated parking spots on the west bound side of the street), pay for parking and shuffle thru homelessville to try and find the entrance, please call ahead for hours. They open at 10am on Fridays not 830am.

Please update your hours on Google. It takes 2 mins. I know library patrons would appreciate it.

It's a nice place, the staff is good there is nothing bad except the outside of the library it's kind of ackward because smells like pee (urine) but still, good place

I love libraries. This one kind of breaks my heart, because of all the empty shelves, and it just looks tired. I was also told not to trust the labels on the shelves, because they need to be updated. However, I get it. It is a public library, in a city, in a world that doesn't seem to read and research anymore. They have an online service which is great, and the staff are all nice and helpful when looking for the hard copies.

It is an awesome place to visit wklith a courteous and very very knowledgeable and professional staff. Thank you all.

Nice place to work and study. Good free wifi signal. I wish it were open for longer. The vancouver Public Library was perfect in that respect. Open til 9 pm on weekdays, till 6 or 5 pm on weekends. LBPL people, you're amazing, you'd be *super* amazing if you'd stay open longer and every day. Many thanks

Bum central love the library all the bums new language is spare change. Hated it

Nice library has great architecture that unfortunately wastes a lot of space so it will be toredown in about a year .the new library that is being built to replace it is looking beautiful

New Lego table. Not the best librarian in that area. She isn't friendly. Or at least she is selective with people.

Long Beach Library I like this place it's an easy in and out I can find what I'm looking for their helpful and friendly in this particular Library three days a week is show me movies and keep you up-to-date with all ongoings in the local area
