London Sound Academy Review

Definitely the best place to learn how to DJ. Noah has been a mega patient and knowledgeable tutor who's given me the perfect introduction to my new favourite hobby.

I completed the course with Gabriel and even though I'd already been DJ'ing for years he really helped me push my skills, and I feel more confident than ever before. As a drum & bass artist it was very satisfying to work with someone as experienced as Gabriel. I would highly recommend training with him to anyone interested in DJ'ing or Drum & Bass.
Shout out to Noah as well, I only did 2 lessons with him but he really knows his stuff too.

Superb experience! I took the intermediate DJ course with Ben in July 2020. I would definitely recommend LSA if you want to take your DJ skills to the next level. 101 lessons with pro tutors, using the best quality gear. On top of that, LSA provides a great customer experience, from usual queries via email, through booking and scheduling your sessions online. We got 2h dj course for my friend b-day and we were able to go in the studio with her. Small cozy environment full of pretty amazing technical stuff. We had 2 hours with Olmo who was a great teacher, friendly and parmtient. It really felt we had learnt a lot in only 2h. Highly recommended!!!

I had an amazing experience with London Sound Academy. Booking was very easy, and I could choose a tutor who liked my style of music AND choose my own lesson times! I've taken the Beginner DJ, Intermediate DJ and Advanced DJ and now I'm working on their music production courses with the aim of releasing on their record label.

Things I Really Admire About LSA:
1. Their courses are taught one-to-one and so you can learn at your own speed.
2. You can choose your tutor and lesson time!
3. They have two amazing studios in London which look really cool and are a great place to hang out!
4. All the tutors are amazing, especially the manager Noah!
5. Once I completed the course I got to DJ with them and join their community. I will soon go on the Ibiza Tour as well which is exciting!
6. The LSA Alumni community is a really tight-knit family! They are supporting and do a lot of charity work too.

When I started at LSA I was a music enthusiast but had never touched a turn table or music production software. With the help of Buster, Erin & Noah I have a record deal with "Blah Blah Blah" Records, run my own label and clubnight and perform a fully improvised live show. The support from LSA is unrivalled, having finishing studying there almost 5 years ago, Buster is still on the end of the phone for any advice I need or questions I have. I think the ongoing support even when you have finished studying is really special, and you get to join a world of other creatives to share ideas with and the love for music. I got to say that I found the best work environment I could have ever asked for. My colleagues are all competent and yet very friendly and the parties organised for the graduates feels like family gatherings! 5 start plus, I couldn't recommend it more!

One of the best decisions of my life was to go with London Sound Academy - the Logic production course I took with my tutor Erin had taught me how to properly produce music I had never thought I would ever do and opened my world to gigs I never thought I d get.

LSA are awesome! Gabriel Cernea helped me to understand how to mix on Vinyl, CDJ's and digitally (Traktor). Helped me to expand my DJ'ing performance from just House music to multiple genres in a way that makes me a more complete DJ'ing. The one on one tutoring allowed us to go at a pace that worked best with my progression. Gabriel had the perfect level of patience mixed with an understanding of my potential to push me at the right times. Even after my course is complete, Gabriel has always been to answer any questions I have had. I would highly recommend it LSA and Gabriel to anyone looking to push there skills whether they are a complete beginner or an experienced DJ

Really impressed with London Sound Academy. I m near the end of the advanced course with Noah being my tutor. It is amazing how much I have learnt in such a short space of time. Went here twice for two four hour DJ sessions. I had a teacher called Noah who was really great at his job. He was friendly, took things at the right pace and was fantastic at encouraging you to do better. The first time I came here was on my 19th birthday, and then I came back again a year later. For anyone looking to simply have some fun while learning the basics of DJing I'd highly recommend this place.

I definitely recommend this place for everyone who wants learn how to DJ. I just finished my advanced DJ course with my tutor Erin who is absolutely brilliant and helpful in every way. When it comes to Training/ DJ/ Support you will find no better place than London sound academy, Noah my main tutor and Danny part of 6Ft short supported me through all techniques and different ways of mixing music. The support doesn't stop there you get the chance to play in clubs people will only dream of such as ministry of sound, EGG and Ibiza. Thanks to the Buster for the ongoing support with gigs ETC. Looking forward to starting production in 2018 to further my skills with LSA.

The DJ course was originally a birthday present from my girlfriend but I enjoyed the sessions so much that I booked another package myself. My tutor Noah was extremely patient and tailored the sessions to my level. I learnt far more than I expected and am now so much more confident behind the decks. I'll definitely be back in the future and am even considering the production course!

Always wanted to know how to Dj got my lessons with the talented Ben & Kieran who showed me very useful skills and techniques that go beyond just beat matching. Not only do you get training but you get to meet like minded people in the community & get chances to play live gigs at top venues!

Another great DJ lesson with Olmo last night at LSA s Soho studios. An amazing tutor with a depth of skills, experience and network. Highly recommend grabbing time with Olmo. He has really opened the door on various advanced techniques. Love the flow of his teaching. 5/5 big man!

Worked with Ben Smith and Kieran Wilson here, both of whom are industry experts, top level DJs, producers, and sound engineers. They taught me everything I needed to know about DJing to the kind of level you might expect when going to a club as prestigious as Ministry of Sound.

The equipment is of premier quality (better than in some clubs) and the tutor knowledge is unbelievable. Noah Priddle and Olmo Allmoe are phenomenal, and their technical knowledge will blow anybody away.

Sessions are inexpensive, flexible and planned around you. Even if you want a brief practice session, you'll find the LSA to be absolutely spot on.

Peter pixcel is a great production teacher highly recommend using him for beginner production and more advanced people looking to learn new things his methodical and professional approach is very good and he is a wealth of knowledge , friendly guy and always happy to answer all the questions you might have ! .

Finished my beginner course at LSA Soho last week and already recommended it to two friends of mine. Their tutors were great (I had classes with Marc Spence and Olmo, and they both had a lot of patience to teach!), and the equipment you get to use is the best. Last but not least, it was a lot of fun too!

I came into the sessions as a pretty experienced DJ, having played out across Europe, but never having had the chance to learn on vinyl or properly dig down into the full possibilities of what you can do with four decks. Simply put, Noah (my tutor) is a wizard. The amount of knowledge I picked up across four two hour sessions was incredible, all of it explained clearly without it ever coming across like a lesson, rather two lads just playing around on the decks. Can't recommend both LSA and Noah highly enough.

Their great DJ course got me on the way to playing in clubs including Egg, and have since made connections with and got to a know lots of other DJs and producers through their awesome LSA Alumni community. Highly recommended!

LSA is excellent, and I'm so glad I picked it over all others. Noah as a tutor is an absolute pro, highly skilled and fun to work with. I was a complete novice but the programme is really well thought out and effective, giving me the skill set to go to the next level in a short space of time. Highly recommended all round.

My course with LSA was a truly amazing experience! My tutors were Noah Priddle and Gabriel Cernea - different styles (which is really a good thing when you're learning), both excellent tutors. Classes run from early in the morning to late at night, in different parts of London - given my job shifts, without this level of flexibility I wouldn't have been able to do a DJ course. Hands-down the best Dj and Production academy in London. I took the Dj courses last year (Beginner to Advanced) in top Dj gear and learned how to become a professional in the music industry.

Kieran is a great teacher because he loves what he does, he explains things in a way that totally makes sense and is a inspiration to continue making music. He is very friendly and an amazing person.

LSA has allowed me to play several times in my favourite club: Ministry of Sound and also in Egg London! Also, the LSA live stream is awesome for expanding your brand.

I recently completed my first block of DJ lessons at LSA Hoxton. I must say that the lessons were excellent and have really pushed my djing knowledge and skills along. My tutor was Erin and I couldn't recommend him highly enough. He's a great guy and really explained things clearly and easily. Any questions I had he gave me an answer that I could understand and go forward with. I will definitely be booking my next block of lessons with the LSA and Erin in the near future.

Highly recommend LSA its in a great location in Camden as its walking distance from the train station and best of all my tutor Noah the don diddy is brilliant!
He's a really good teacher as I'm not the fastest of learners, he has the patients of a saint and makes me feel as ease with great banter! Not forgetting highly skilled and is my inspiration, I couldn't fault him!

From trying to learn on my own and really struggling, Ben has taught me all of the basics and I can now easily navigate my way around logic. The Lsa is the most amazing place to learn how to Dj. I started from 0 and with the help of my tutor Cernea Gabriel i gone true all the moduls and now i'm a fully licensed dj and started going to gigs and performing :D It's an amazing feling to play for a crowed and knowing what to do behind the desks. Like i calle it an amazing place to make dreams cume true:) hilly recommended :)

Advanced DJ course (4x2 hour sessions) with Gabriel.

Gabriel was fantastic (give that guy a raise!). He was quick to assess the stuff I knew, gave me a few curve balls to check I wasn t bullshitting him, and threw in lots of little advanced tips as he sanity checked me against the beginner- and intermediate-check lists. The techniques he taught me for beat matching on vinyl turned something which was completely mystifying to me to something I could start getting on top of (and has really refined my CDJ beat matching where previously was very reliant on BPM counters). He also knew when to hang back and let me get on with figuring some stuff out rather than hovering over me which is a really important skill as a tutor.

Was bought the course as a birthday from my family who wanted to get me a "DJ thing" (and apparently a brand new DJM-900NXS2 was a little too expensive for them) and honestly was skeptical about what I'd get from it, but having done it I can't recommend this course highly enough.

The location is great, right in the heart of Camden the musical heart of London. The studio is small but perfectly formed with the best technical equipment that you learn on.

Gabriel is fantastic teacher, really chilled out and being a DJ as well has tons of practical and technical advice.

Any one thinking about booking here do it now!

Just finished up a month of Production and mastering sessions at LSA with Harry and I can't praise them highly enough.

Each week we created a totally custom session based around questions I had, techniques I wanted to focus on, using live projects I was working on as the basis of the discussion.

Super informative, relaxed, fun... I learned a vast amount in a short space of time and would definitely recommend this to anyone, regardless of what level they were at!

So here I am, having finished my dj course with LSA, and thinking just how rewarding it has been. After an 11 year absence from the dj scene I wanted to get back on the decks but first had to spend time getting to grips with the changes in technology as well as iron out the self-taught wrinkles from 15 years ago.
Buster was really accommodating, recognising that as I'd played before I'd be assessed to see exactly where I needed to start from to get the most out of my time with LSA. In the end I did the intermediate and advanced courses with Gabi (Gabriel Cernea), who I have to say is a first rate tutor.
The best part about learning with LSA is the fact that the tuition is 1:1 meaning you can get the maximum return on your time, as well as spend more time on areas you really want to work on.
Gabi knows his stuff and you can't beat learning with someone who has been dj'ing (and producing) for many years, this is the best dj education you're going to get. And having dj'd for a few years myself, as well as being a promoter, I would like to think I know a few things, but you have to respect someone that can teach you new things or open your mind to different ideas.
I couldn't ask for a better experience with LSA, the guys are totally professional and run the business with enthusiasm and passion. If you want to be a dj then this is the place to do your apprenticeship!

I recently graduated from LSA and walked out skilled enough to have my 2nd gig in Ministry of Sound! It was a superbly fun course with brilliant tutors. Gabriel was particularly patient and gave me plenty of drills to practice in my own time which really helped to skill me up. He also let me record him doing his tricks so that I can try and copy it when I practice. Also had fantastic lessons with Noah who has a deep passion for music and genuinely enjoys anything to do with sound. I had one lesson with the very talented Kieran who's technical skills blew me away, and huge appreciation for Kasey who did my first few lessons and had to teach me everything from scratch. Been extremely impressed with how well Buster runs the entire business. I would highly recommend LSA!

London Sound Academy is where I learnt how to DJ! It's an amazing school with amazingly skilled tutors who are all professional DJs themselves. Great value for money and once you have completed all courses, you will be more than equipped to start DJing from whereever you want!
You'll also become part of a DJ community where you will have a support system which is great especially if you are just starting out, where you can meet other like minded DJs, collaborate, make friends, be inspired and have fun!

I have had nothing but good experiences with the London Sound Academy - I did three of their courses for DJs: beginners, inters and advanced and it took me through a range of essential skills I still use today. The tutors care so much about what they do - I was taught by Buster and Erin and they were always great with incorporating the music I wanted to play but also teaching me skills that would help me become versatile across genres. I honestly cannot recommend them enough - this is where to go if you want to learn to DJ!

Having completed all the DJ courses, I have to say that this is possibly the best DJ school in London. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. My tutors Buster and Kieran really pushed me, and gave me to skills and confidence to be able to Dj at gigs. Since completing the elite course I have had many gigs at Ministry of Sound and EGG London which was organised by LSA.

I am now going back to LSA to complete all my production courses.

Choosing LSA was one of my the best life decisions. I took lessons from Ben S, Kieran and Samantha and everyone showed me different technics and styles. Now I use all of them in my own style.
