Visited Darbar for a friends 30th birthday party...amazing food & service..would have no hesitations to recommend this place.
Serves authentic Indian food. The curries are really good. Is quite close to the station. Has seating outside so good for the summer days. It can be a bit pricey with the service tax.

Attended a birthday party here at their function hall. The interior looks dated and dark, with low ceilings. Food was good though.
This review is for the events venue not restaurant. The food was very good and service excellent overall. The whole event was managed by the staff very well. The food was quick to arrive and replenished quickly too. Staff were polite and professional. Only let down is very difficult parking and air conditioning was quite cold, although some people found it okay. I would recommend to others.
I always struggled to find a nice genuine Indian restaurant in East London. But glad to have found this one. Nice ambience, very clean place and great food!

I HAD A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE ON MY BIRTHDAY. THE WAITERS WHO GO BY THE NAME OF GURVEER AND SUKHI WERE VERY HELPFUL AND MADE THE EXPERIANCE EVEN BETTER.

Over hyped & over priced Restaurant events venue... Dark pretentious & gloomy surroundings. The food is nothing more than 'good enough' but the prices are way too high for this to ever feel like good value. Definitely More style over substance.... Reserved for that special occasion - only.
Really poor customer service. Had booked in advance for the new year's eve party and not able to make it for personal reasons. I was told can't refund as done booking online, if made payment by cash he can refund. Told me they are very popular, sold out but can't do anything regarding refund. Most places who claim to be popular would refund as they can sell it again, not impressed at all. Would rate it 0 bad customer service.
We had a lovely time. The food was nice. The entertainment and music was fun. It was unbelievably good experience overall for that price. Will definitely go back again and again.

Came here for a wedding reception. The food was fabulous (Indian cuisine). Service was good. Location ok. Parking a bit of a problem but because it was in the evening we could Park outside on single yellow. Apparently guests do have use of a local hotel car park but I never checked.
It's a venue/restaurant situated in illford... With no parking..big problem... So you have to go up and down the side roads to find yourself parking space which could be a good ten minutes walk away from venue.... Not a very well organised place.... Food was not all that...Dj was OK.. Wouldnt recommend if you are throwing a party... Your guest will be very annoyed in the lack of parking space.
Great place for paries with good size party hall, and good food. That explains the price slightly higher than other Indian restaurants.

Okay place for hosting a large gathering. We attended a function in the basement, which is accessed by poorly designed stairs and without any disabled accessibility. Toilets are upstairs which means traversing stairs becomes a pain if you're disabled or frail. The space is decent for maybe 50-75 people but beyond this it quickly feels claustrophobic (there were ~100 people went we visited). There are TV screens where videos and picture slideshows can be played (e.g. for an anniversary, etc.) and the lighting sets a nice ambience. The food provided was overall good however I came away with a slightly bad stomach after eating the kofta. Overall, a decent place but needs considerable improvements to achieve five stars.

to be honest i loved the food there, nice customer service. I would recommend for Indian food there especially Amritsar fried fish. they do accept taste card but on exceptional days please check before your visit the restaurant. they also do some events e.g. weddings, dinners lunch etc.

Food was delicious, my family enjoyed it very much. The service was really amazing, thanks to Sumit and Indy. Staff were very friendly and all had gloves and face mask on. 10/10. Would recommend!

Great food , throughly enjoyed our evening . Called ahead to book a table for 8 people .. Staff friendly and very accommodating. They prepared a nice round table so people could see eachother while dinning. We all loved the magic towels nice touch to end the meal. They even called me 10 minutes after I left the restuarant to advise in had left my cardigan. I would recommend this restaurant and visit again.

Good venue, attended here for a wedding function. The only downside is that parking is very difficult.
Went for a wedding, the service and staff were great however one waitress stood out (I think her name was viktorijaa) she was nice, polite and very helpful overall was a great place would recommend (this review is for the venue not the restaurant)
When we think about celebrations, LD is always our first option and it never disappoints. From the starter to the dessert the quality and tastes of everything has always been outstanding.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Beautiful ambience, excellent service, friendly staff and the food is not only wonderfully presented but the flavours of each dish are uniquely mouthwatering! I could most definitely say this is the best Indian restaurant in the Ilford area :)
