LOI (Leidse Onderwijs Instellingen) Review

Never study here. Every contact with the school has been very difficult. You have to keep calling to see if they do the things they say they are going to do and do angry before things finally get going. If you need special supplies it's like pulling teeth before anything is promised. It took me over a year through Covid on my last exam because they took away the option to take the exam. With the promise that I could finish the test before December, I was allowed to start at the university. They had promised the exam before the end of October and I had to leave university in December because no test had been taken. The submissions she submitted a year later consisted of the exam in person but as submissions and you could literally find parts of the text on the internet. After the submissions had come, I passed in one go. After 2 years, I finally have my propaedeutic year. There are spelling mistakes in multiple exams and the resources they want you to use in these exams don't work. waiting times for getting your grade back is ridiculously long. 8 to 12 weeks. Online this is a few days. My propaedeutic grade list now contains 3 exemptions because the LOI has not bothered to collect all my grades that I have worked hard on for 2 years and now say that this is not possible because it has already been 'published'. The stress has been very high and I don't wish this on anyone.

If you actually want to work as a teacher, do NOT do the training at the LOI. The bureaucracy of the organization gets the blood from under your nails and with every step forward, the LOI ensures that you are kicked two steps back. Questions will not be answered and you will not receive any feedback on tests. Exams and mandatory contact days are not scheduled. Assignments are not graded. You can go after them endlessly by calling and / or emailing them, but you run into a wall of impossibilities. Meanwhile, after the umpteenth delay, according to the LOI, the next exam should be scheduled within 4 weeks and after 3 months there is still no prospect of an exam date. Because the school year is coming to an end, the entire LIO internship also goes wrong and all the assignments that are in progress can be thrown away, because there will soon be a change of class. Purely because of the laxity of the LOI, it is impossible to complete anything. The manner of organization and communication is really shocking. So, think of yourself, if you want to achieve any results in your training, do it elsewhere and especially not at the LOI.

Really bad experience I had to pay for a course I cancelled and they said they never received the materials back and they were asking me for the receipt from November. No email was sent to let me know what was happening and they said they send post that I never received. I paid the money but this are the first and last money they receive from me. From finance department they repeated the same thing over and over without listening. It was the first time I lost my temper while talking to a representative. Sales department did everything to sell me a course that didn t apply to my needs. I speak no Dutch and I was send a grammar and spelling course for Dutch but it is for Dutch speakers.

I have been with LOI for 6 months now. I appreciate all the assistance I have received thus far from my tutors and from customer service. One can really see that this is an instituation that puts the student first. Dankjewel lieve LOI voor de gelegenheid om me verder te scholen.

I was always satisfied with the LOI. What always appealed to me was that I could do the courses at my own pace. After all, you order and receive all material at home. Now they put it in campus (online) and they don't send everything you ordered and after expiration they remove it from campus. Then you can pay extra for access to a course that you have already paid for. As an extra service. How? I already paid for that course! Congratulations on the turnover. I will not pay again for an already paid course. Good luck with offering the material to someone else! In addition to customer contact: that is below standard, to say the least.

The response from LOI below is, of course, crazy. The essence is that you make me pay twice as a 'service' for a course that was not the case before. Good luck with that!

Do yourself a favor and do absolutely not work with the LOI. If you want to quit prematurely for whatever reason, they insist that you have to pay for the rest of the year. This is simply illegal and determined by the judge. However, they will keep trying.

So don't be fooled, but better still, stay as far away from this instance as possible.

At the beginning of my training, the training I followed went reasonably well, the lessons were good. As far as contact is concerned, it has been extremely bad for a year and a half. You have to wait an average of 30-45 minutes before you have someone on the phone from customer service. That person can actually do nothing for you except send an email to a department from which you never actually get an answer or an answer that does not get an answer to the question.

At the moment I have already been delayed by 5 months in my HBO nursing training in the last year because my assignments are checked much too late each time and because I had to wait 3.5 months longer for my graduation interview. In the past period I have sent several e-mails from January 10th and have not yet received a single response. I just want my diploma as soon as possible because I have finished everything. I thought that there would be a hurry after diplomas in the nursing course.
Called customer service again this morning and then after 25 minutes suddenly the contact was broken (which is nothing the first time). I hope that this way there will be a response from the LOI and that I will receive my diploma as soon as possible.
