Such an amazing hotel. Has to have been the quietest hotel I've ever stayed in.

Very friendly employees, very clean rooms! My stay was excellent! Love, love, loved it!
We got to the hotel and the valet service was very generous in asking if we needed assistance. The front desk was also very helpful in explaining everything out stay included. We also saw how close we were to the boat access by staying in the West building which was amazing since our children could go as they please with simplicity. Everything was great UNTIL we got to the rooms. Our 2 rooms were connected with 2 queens in 1 room and a pullout sofa bed in the second room, we also requested a roll-away bed as we had a party of 7 (5 kids, 2 adults). When entering the room, we noticed there were stains inside the trash cans almost like residue from trash, no trash bags, sheets were dirty with hair from a previous guest, and the sofa bed was like sleeping on rocks! Upon getting there and inspecting all this, I called the front desk to voice my concerns before going to dinner and the theme parks as it was already around 1pm. After getting back to the rooms that evening, we walk in to find "new sheets" thrown on the bed that the old sheets were still on so we striped the beds and made them ourselves. The amount of money we paid to stay at this "resort" is NOT worth the comfort level or price for the cleanliness of the room.
Excellent hotel and service all around. Beautiful rooms and grounds, within walking distance of Universal Studios.
Very disappointed, had to repeatedly ask for shampoo, toilet paper, towels. Patio door was broken, dresser broken, felt like an economy room not a 5 star for the price we paid. Asked for extra towels, they gave us two face cloths, recommend you book anywhere at the portofino
This building is very beautiful. Everything was very nice. It was a little expensive to eat at the restaurants on site, but it was still a nice experience.
I didn't stay here but the hotel is really nice. Great look and spa. Spa is decent price but good experience and they do everything from massages to beard trims for men. Awesome spa!
Waited two hours for our deluxe queen room which didn't have the roll away bed we had requested and had a miniature corner shower. Otherwise it was fine. This is our four or fifth stay and the only time we had to wait for so long and didn't get a larger shower. Food is way over priced but staff is very friendly.
A great place to stay while visiting Universal Studios. Close to the park, easy access, and a wonderful atmosphere.
Service at the pool bar was good. Hotel was beautiful
Fantastic hotel experience, the best at the Universal Orlando result. The theming is incredible, featuring an amazing recreation of an Italian waterfront. Great dining options and amenities, including both family and quiet pools to enjoy.
Staff are very pleasant. Odd how they make you feel isolated in the middle of Orlando.
It was very nice, the food was great, the service was good and it's just a nice scenery.
Pricey but a absolutely beautiful view and setup. One of the more unique hotel atmospheres I ve experienced and the rooms were very comfortable. I spent the week there on business enjoying the daily view outside my room. Additionally, there are plenty of on-site options for food and entertainment.
Beautiful resort. Loved ever minute. Was the perfect romantic spot for our anniversary.
Didn't actually stay at the hotel, but toured it on a Saturday evening. The property is amazing and really felt as if you left Central Florida. It's also conveintly located within walking distance to City Walk and the theme parks
Great pools! Loved the slide they had. The second pool was a nice relaxing one with not too much people
Beautiful hotel. Water taxi and bus available to get to the parks. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Other than using the room phone, you can text questions or service. Full Starbucks on site which is not crowded like CityWalk or in the parks.
Great location. Water taxi available to/from City Walk and Universal theme parks. Unlimited express pass included with your stay. Two pools. One is a lagoon style pool with waterslide. Rooms were well appointed, clean, and comfortable. Florida resident rates and Annual Pass holder rates are offered subject to availability.
They are not perfect but are very nice and try to accommodate your every need.
A wonderful experience! Our room was perfect with comfortable beds and all the amenities one could need. At the Club level we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast each morning of eggs, bacon, sausage potatoes and all kinds of pastries, breads and bagels. We never made it back for the afternoon snack, but the evening meals were delicious! The complimentary beer and wine was awesome and the kids loved the desert too! It was a bit on the cooler side but our kids loved the pool with its 0 depth sandy shore and water slide. The hot tubs could have been about 20 degrees hotter though. All in all we would definitely stay here again as it it was a great stay and we got the express passes for the park which were invaluable!
The room was very nice. Breakfast buffet was top notch.
Such a beautiful resort, just immerses you in the Italian theme. Things to explore everywhere, a great pool for the family and big luxurious rooms. Recommend the club level to save some money on meal plans.
Beautiful hotel, great food at the pool bar, wonderful bartenders.
Absolutely gorgeous! Our stay was amazing, we'll definitely be back!
High quality and standards. Treat you like royalty.
This was a beautiful hotel. The rooms are big and luxurious but the bathroom shower is unusually small. Make sure you get a room that has an updated bathroom. The restaurants in the hotel are very expensive. We were on the go all the time and never had a chance to enjoy the hotels amenities. We stayed here because we got the express pass as part of the package. The hotel employees were very attentive.
Didn't stay at the hotel, but the decor was beautiful.
It was a pretty place and the boat service was nice.
My favorite hotel in Florida. Sals is awesome with great food. A tip if u spend 20 dollars at any of the restaurant they will validate parking. They have a singer sing from the balcony. Amazing set up and friendly staff all over. I highly recommend this place. Travel photographer from chicago.
Steven Spielberg traveled to Portofino in Italy, and he liked it very much, so he made a hotel that imitates Portofino here in Florida.
You can see it on Google Map, but it's just like it, it's a great recall. Because the real thing is near the sea, the smell of the tide is the only difference since it is newer and more beautiful.
There are a couple of restaurants and it's delicious, but it's almost entirely Italian (I guess so) so it will get bored after a few days. But it's good because I will come to Universal Studios and not eat at the hotel.
Have stayed here several time, it is the kids' favorite hotel of the three Loews hotels (that give express passes with stay). They're teenagers and enjoy the amenities quite a bit, and me and my wife quite enjoy it as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms clean and spacious.
Really nice hotel. Lots of fun. Didn't get much time to hang out because we were at the parks. Will for sure go back and plan on spending a day by the pool. Not five stars because we ordered room service and it was kind of meh and the in room coffee was not that great. We were very exhausted so that might have contributed to our thoughts on the room service food.. Next time we stay I'll try it again and update the review.
Great atmosphere, great Service, great place on general.
The Hotel is great, we love to come once a year. The breakfast the service the easy access to the parks we always leave wanting to come back.
Had a blast this hotel it was a little pricey but overall had a great experience. We hung out at Universal for the day and then went to Mama's for dinner and the food was phenomenal
Beautiful place and guest service from any Loews Hotel is always top notch.
The hotel is very nicely designed and beautifully decorated. The staff are gracious, polite, and kind. The hotel made the conference enjoyable and comfortable.
Stayed overnight. Singer on the balcony at night was great! I was very impressed with the design of the hotel.
Well appointed, spacious rooms. Pools were great fun for the kids. Easy access to Universal, never had to wait more than 10 minutes to get on a boat. We used club level which worked great for us as we were able to eat breakfast and most dinners at the resort. My kids are somewhat picky eaters and they were always able to find food they liked. My wife and I thought the food was good for what it was ( don't expect gourmet meals). Definitely felt it was a top choice for staying near Universal, will stay here again if we are visiting.
I love it there . I would go back again. I enjoyed myself there.
Great hotel, but also a great tour for anyone who is not staying in it, as you can catch a boat on the Citywalk and get the feeling of getting to know this charming little corner of Italy.
Used to feel more high class than it did at my last visit. Not that I really care about class, but it was noticably absent in comparison. Food at pool is descent, good portions and not overly expensive.
Nothing like taking the boat ride back from the parks and arriving to this!
Great pool. Free cut the line passes at universal. Overall enjoyed it
Lowes Portofino is a beautiful hotel. The outside looks like a charming Italian village. I had a view of the man made lake from my room which is gorgeous at night. The room itself is beautiful, very comfortable soft beds, huge tv, a big window , and a very nice, big bathroom. However, after the first day we never had hot water again. For the price i paid, rooms start usually about $500 a night. There is no excuse for that. I complained and they sent someone up to the room which did nothing. Very frustrating. It is extremely close to get to all 3 parks. (To get to Volcano Bay there is a shuttle that picks you up in front of hotel. ) for the other two, jump on the water taxi and you are there in 7 minutes. They have restaurants on property and a very nice bar. At night they have opera singers that sing on the balcony and you can listen as you walk around the courtyard or board your water taxi. I would probably stay here again for the convenience.
This is an amazingly beautiful hotel - brilliant replication of the real thing. Its a short boat ride to the parks and city walk, but it's hard to want to leave the hotel!
This place is luxurious. it even smells rich in there.
Well you can arrive by boat, he leaves the citywalk which by the way is a delight.
The captain goes on explaining everything we went through and an amazing path!
The place is charming has restaurants and shops.
All very organized and clean
The room is lovely and spacious and the customer service is wonderful
The value from the universal hotel is you get an extra hour in the morning at the park and it is extremely easy to get back and forward from the park so no car needed. The hotel is extremely large with two blocks. The pool is in the west wing and easiest access is from the 2nd floor. The rooms are nice and large. The bathrooms do not have a divider between the toilet and the shower which I hate and the shower is a step over the bath type arrangement so not good for the older folks. The service was somewhat uneven. We had an issue but the manager stepped in and sorted it out however it was only after repeated contact attempts. The food choices are pretty dreadful and based on Italian food so great if you like pasta. There is a bar with singers for the evening entertainment. Breakfast however is excellent at the Trattoria.I would recommend staying at the hotel if you are visiting universal theme parks and you have a short visit. It certainly lacks the glamour of a Disney hotel but it is adequate.
Such an immersive experience! Truly a great hotel.
Beautiful hotel. Staff is extremely friendly snd very helpful.
It's a Gala event that takes place four times a year on the Plaza at Portofino Hotel Universal. Food is prepared from the restaurants on properties and the wine is paired. Desserts and beverages are also serve throughout the night. They also have a huge band for dancing. The opera singers come out at 8:30 or 9:30. This is a great event.
Love Portofino! The ambiance is wonderful. Service is excellent. Stayed here 4 out of the past 5 years.
Nice property, included express pass for rides is the best benefit. Boats to the parks are fast. Rides are good but mostly the same...3d glasses etc. 2 days is more than enough. Did not go to volcano Beach otherwise add 1 more day.
Service was Great, rooms were awesome and the experience was better that expected!
Convenient to universal studios, just wished when we bought the park tickets at the hotel the person at the desk should have told us that one of the benefits of living in the hotel is you get upgraded to Express pass so there are no wait times at the rides.
Excellent service, beautiful setting, many amenities, and so convenient. Only complaint I have is that one room was not ready at stated check in time of 4:00 PM. Had to wait for over an hour before it was ready
This is my favorite hotel in the Universal Orlando Resort and every time I visit again it confirmed my feeling again. Its design is great and it makes me feel like I'm in Italy even though I'm really just a few steps away from all the fun and adventure of the Universal Orlando parks.
Beautiful property! Absolutely too big. The walk to our room was 8 minutes from the valley station and there are tons further back. Make sure you ask where they're putting you.
Room is fine, about as nice as a $150 a night hotel off property. Resort is a little dated and could use an updating, especially around the bay. Express, the water taxi, and early entry are really what you're paying for here.
