As a mom of a two year old, this place gets my vote with 5 stars... whenever theres a varied kids menu and available crayons and toddler seating even for the pub height tables, AND THE BURGERS are yummy to boot, AND... THEYBHAVE THE BEERS MY HUBBY LIKES... YOU GET FIVE STARS FROM ME LOCAL BURGER!!

A burger joint with a full bar, an open front, and a full back lot patio! The burgers were GREAT, the fries were NOT, and while the onion rings were large and flavorful there was way too much batter that resulted in way too much grease. Fix the latter two and this would be a five star joint. We'll try it again for sure.

The burgers are fast food quality. The root beer is $5 for draft, but definitely not draft and absolutely not worth $5 for a soda. The woman serving at the counter wasn't wearing mask. No ketchup, napkins provided. I feel like I paid $40 for McDonald's quality food. I've heard the patchogue location is pretty good, but the Bayshore location left me very disappointed. Will never eat here again

People say I m tough because I ve been in the business my whole life but I just take pride in giving good service so this 5 star rating is being placed before I take a bite simply because of Stephanie, who greeted me with a smile and made me feel welcomed the second I walked in. Of course the food counts, but I ve eaten here before. She just made it taste better! That s right, before I even got it! Thanks Stephanie. And no I ve never met her before.

I do not know how this place has such a high rating with so many bad reviews and here comes another one. I had been here around 2 previous times before this one and they were okay. But this past time was atrocious I was told the waiting time would be 15-20 mins and sat which I was okay with waiting a group of people came after and were told the same and sat but when the hostess came she sat them 10 min before us and we were forced to wait so we ignored it and didn t say anything than we sat and a table arrived after us where asked their drinks order and had recieved them and they all got milkshakes meanwhile I still hadn t been asked what I wanted to drink or asked anything at all me and my sister were completely ignored for another 10 mins finally after staring at waitress passing us by with an empty table and menus we were asked what drinks we wanted we both got water and placed our orders. She no joke didn t come back fro 20 min for JUST WATER!!!! Our food arrived mildly warm and wasn t even good the Mac and cheese balls were Kraft Mac and cheese tasted like straight out of the box and the burgers where no bigger then my tiny hands this was a horrible experience I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Warm, youthful, and lively atmosphere with a consistent and modern style. The selection is extensive and experimental for the carnivores. May need a couple more options for the herbivores to satiate me, but I love this place for precisely what it is. A tasty new approach to local burgers.

We went to Local Burger Co. after the Bay Shore Saint Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday March 10th, 2018.
Just like most of the people attending the parade, we had been drinking all day and were looking for someplace to go for dinner around 6pm. Because we've been to Salt & Barrel, Changing Times and Coastal, and were looking for something casual that we haven't tried, we decided on Local Burger Co. Due to the parade and the crowd, they had a hostess and a bouncer set up outside at the front entrance. We had to put our name in and wait... OUTSIDE... in the freezing, windy, cold for close to 30 minutes for a table. Granted, we were outside for most of the day, but that was while the sun was out and it wasn't that bad. Once the sun went down, the wind picked up, the temperature dropped and it was freezing out there. We definitely weren't happy about having to wait outside!
Once we were allowed in, we were brought to a little two-seater right under a cutout that looks directly into the kitchen. What I witnessed should've immediately made me turn around and walk out. Again, I will state that I understand that it must've been a crazy day for anyone working at a restaurant on Main Street in Bay Shore after the parade. Being a chef, I've worked those shifts and I know how crazy things can get in a kitchen. So I will overlook the fact that the kitchen was a disaster. The floors were a mess and the counters were a mess and it looked like things hadn't been wiped down since the place opened. And I was actually ok with that. What disgusted me was the 5 cooks working the line that didn't have gloves on and were building burgers with their bare hands. And on top of that, on the other side of the expo line were a bunch of servers eating like they were at a buffet. And I didn't notice this just once, when I got up to go to the bathroom, when I got back from the bathroom and when we were getting up to leave, I witnessed the same thing every time I looked in the kitchen. This really bothered me but since we waited outside for so long, were frozen and starving, I made the judgement call to stay and eat. Thinking back on it now, I must've been pretty drunk to stay after witnessing what I did.
For our meals, Lahna ordered a bacon cheeseburger no bun, I ordered the Hangover and we shared an order of the Celtic fries. For being manhandled with no gloves, our food was pretty good. The celtic fries could've used more corned beef though. And the egg on my burger was way over fried when I was hoping that it would come out runny.
As far as the service, our waitress hardly came around. She was either busy waiting on other tables, waiting at the bar for drinks, or in the kitchen, probably eating her shift meal with the rest of the servers in the middle of their shift right in the open kitchen for everyone to see.
Sorry Local, anyone with a frying pan can make a thin patty burger and put it on a Martin's potato bun and not risk catching a foodborne illness.

Place is very nice clean.
Ordered Quiona Burger on gluten free bun very good
N cinnamon sweet potatoe fries very good. I was glad they were not salty.
I was full on the size of the burger.
My partner ordered make your own. French fries were good crunchy. Burger she said was good. Size of burger was small in both but filled us up. We would return again.Waiter was very nice. Price is cheap.
The only complaint I would have is wait time for food was long around 25 min.

Another restaurant with a good beer selection but beer temperature was on the cool/warm side.

So disappointing BEER IS SUPPOSED TO BE COLD! NOT COOL OR WARM

Service was ok but slow it wasn t that busy. For burger and fries

How can you enjoy a beer like that. Huge down fall.

Food was not it s all hyped up to be.

Mediocre small burger patties especially for the price.

They have cool toppings but what burger joint doesn t.

Hot dogs tasted like old school lunch hot dogs yuck.

Seats are uncomfortable except if you re on the long sofa bench side.

It s expensive for what it is. I don t mind paying for quality but this isn t it.

Tasty burgers. Friendly staff. Nice vibe and feel inside. My only gripe..... no free refills on drinks and a little pricy at that. I was told they are promoting "local" brewing etc, and that explained why we were paying $4.50 (a short mug filled with ice.) Just an FYI, parking meters requiring $/coins.

The only bad thing I could say about this place is the chairs are not super comfy. The brugers are juicy and flavorful. The onion rings are glorious. The milkshakes taste like milk and cream and perfection. They have Boylan soda and Mexican coke. And the brussel sprouts are the real stars of the show. I am not joking. I rarely give 5 stars to anything because there is always something that could be improved. Yeah no. My back side can be uncomfy in uncomfy chairs so long as the sprouts and burgers stay the same.

Better than average burger spot. Usually get the hangover. Burgers are not huge but still juicy and tasty. Usually get the hangover burger. Mac n cheese taste like velveeta and kinda overcooked. Fries are much better.

Local burger has a great arrangement of burgers and gives you a local vibe with the branding on the buns. Peanut butter and bacon is a thing. The milk shakes are good; I am still debating on whether it tops five guys shakes. What may put it over edge is the thickness and consistency. If you want to skip the beef have quinoa burger. It is actually good if you're interested. One thing that is lacking is the order accuracy. Whether online or via the phone, asking for a well done patty or extra pickles may leave you discontent. Mobile payment available.

If I was rating just on the drinks and cocktails, I'd give 5 stars for sure. Awesome selection of local, organic, top shelf liquor. Every drink ordered was fantastic. The burgers were pretty good, lots of options, especially if you like spice. As far as the meat goes, it wasn't quite as good as some of the other trendy burger places out there, like Shake Shack or Bobby's Burger Palace. Loved the fries and onion rings (although the onion ring batter is extremely heavy and filling, don't order them alone!)
