Regret Over Choosing LM Building Design (LMBD)

When we decided to partner with a designer for our future home, we focused on three crucial factors: talent, personality fit, and professionalism. Regrettably, LM Building Design's (LMBD) actions have fallen short in these areas and left us at a loss.

Firstly, in September 2023, LMBD requested favourable reviews on platforms like Google and Houzz, despite the fact that our designs were incomplete and our engagement was still in the early stages. We politely declined, as we felt it was too soon to provide feedback.

Secondly, in early August 2024, we tried to re-engage with LMBD after a delay caused by a family tragedy. After several weeks and three additional email reminders, we received a response from LMBD stating, "I apologize for the long delay. After carefully considering it, I'm sorry to let you know that I won't be able to continue working on your project."

Most concerning, however, was the dismissive manner in which we were informed of this decision. Despite previously advancing funds for anticipated work; we received no prior notice, phone call, text, nor offer for a transition meeting. It was only after our insistence that we were provided with non-alterable design collateral.

In summary, LM Building Design's actions have significantly derailed our home-building plans. Given these experiences, we regret choosing to work with them.
