I recently had the privilege to work with Doug Berkowitz from APR LLoyd Staffing and it was by far one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had with a recruiter.
I have worked with probably around 10 recruiters in my day and Doug is by far the best. He is very prompt with his responses. When he has information he will pass it along immediately. He also does a great job of communicating that information out to you how you want to receive it. If you prefer a phone call he will call, a text he will text etc.
Doug is also very astute when it comes to your wants and needs. After reviewing my background and talking to me 1-2 times on the phone he was able to find an opportunity he thought I would be a good fit for. Before I interviewed for that company he was able to give me valuable information about who I was going to meet as well as what the company was looking for in its potential candidates. Upon completion of my interview I realized he had aligned me perfectly. The company was a great fit and I really enjoyed the team of folks I had just met.
Again I highly recommend Doug to anyone looking for a better opportunity. He will make you feel like you are his only client

Doug and Stan were instrumental in helping me obtain my current position. They re knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuine. It wasn t just about landing the job but finding the right fit. Definitely a stepping stone for the recruiters working for the company. They could care less. I'm assuming they only work in HR until a better opportunity presents itself to them. Spresime Bekteshi, Jessica Russolese and Erin McGeever are the MOST useless recruiters I've ever dealt with. Those mentioned couldn't put in any less effort in if they tried. Look up Aerotek staffing or National recruiting group. They are honestly not much better, but they at least have SOME recruiters in there who do their job.
*Note it's reported that this company has candidates sign into Google and wrote a positive review for them right after the interview. Sounds "ethical."

When I came home for the summer after my first year in college in 2009, I thought I was completely unhireable due to the limited time that I would be spending back in my home town on Long Island. I contacted the LLoyd Staffing temp center and within that week, I was already working. I was amazed at not only how amazingly kind and receptive they were when I called, but how consistently dedicated they've been to keep me trained and employed.
Four years later, I am finishing an advanced degree, and STILL happily employed as a temp with LLoyd Staffing. I have learned valuable skills and lessons from each assignment that I have received over the years, and I'm looking forward to translating my professional experience to the next step in my career. I am sincerely appreciative of all of the opportunities that LLoyd has created for me.

Okay Lloyd, come on now...if you're going to have people write reviews for you to counter the bad reviews that Barbara Cohen has caused for your firm, at least space them out rather than having them all pop up on the same day or week.
I'd like to add that at least 2 of the people that wrote such glowing reviews for Lloyd staffing have not actually been placed by them as temp employees, or have ever worked for the company itself. Barbara Cohen's negative reviews are rightfully earned here...like previous reviewers, I had a terrible experience working with her and her condescending attitude. She is the reason that I severed all ties with Lloyd Staffing, after having been doing temp work with them for 2 years while working toward my Master's Degree (to which Barbara told me I was wasting my time on...VERY similar to the previous reviewers). The recruiter i was working with for that time had left I believe, and I was assigned to Barbara. I only needed to speak with her for 5 minutes before I got up to leave, disgusted by her attitude and uncalled for statements about my work history and education. I immediately severed all ties with Lloyd and found better placement through Adecco.
Don't deal with Lloyd, but if you have no other choice, do not deal with Barbara.
Barbara has worked with helped me in several job searches over the years. She is extremely knowledgeable of current workforce trends and an essential ally to anyone seeking employment. Her confidence, guidance and know how is unmatched in the recruiting field.

I have interviewed at various staffing agencies in Manhattan and I have to say that I never thought that I would have such a positive experience at a staffing agency in Long Island, but I did. Worst staffing company ever, they don't hire or help entry level people. Girl name Susan asked first that they have client need help desk and then she ask me about my current job after that she told me she will call me and I didn't got back from her. This company is so mean and try to looking for the people who already have 5 yrs experience. Its better to fine jobs on websites like career builder, indeed, glassdoor and others.
