Livermead Cliff Hotel Review

Very good hotel, staff helpful and very pleasant. Had bar meals and found them good value. We had a nice-size room. Only real complaint was the so very tiny shower room!! My husband and I are very slim people and I don't know how anyone bigger than us would squease into the shower. The shower, toilet and sink were all-but touching each other. The sea-view wasn't the best, we could only see the little bay, not a nice view of Torquay harbour.
However, would go again, but request a bigger shower room. The bus stop was just outside the hotel, which was very useful.

Had an excellent lunch in beautiful surroundings overlooking Torbay. Varied menu to chose from and a daily special, very well presented, quick service even though they were busy. Lots of outdoor seating and very good value. Will go again especially for afternoon tea which looked magnificent.

Fantastic location right on the sea with ample parking. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Great value! Very dog friendly too!

Location of the hotel, right on the water, but the center of Torquay is a bit far. The first room was a disaster, right on the departure of the kitchen, according to the noise level. On the return journey another room, the beds were read through and shaky, the carpet very dirty.
Very good was the dinner and the service in the restaurant.

Excellent location, bad room poor bathroom, unusable sink for children

We just stopped here for a pint and service was great. Very friendly staff and great location just by the beach. Good beer garden.

Being local I spend a lot of time here, especially in summer. The terrace is perfect for relaxing, whether with a coffee, beer or glass of wine and the staff are attentive and helpful. It's great to see it liven up again after the lockdown and I wish it much success in the future.

Requested special room with sea views and walk in shower. Was given room with bath was then given room no sea view but shower room very small and hot asked for a fan did not have any was given small fan from reception problems with gluten free food. Should have gluten free. Menus

We popped in for a morning coffee good service but the hotel itself looked at bit dated and tired

I attended here for my sister's wedding. The hotel is in a perfect location. I really enjoyed her wedding. The reception room was lovely, the views were Amazing, the food was good and the staff are really friendly. I had the best breakfast More

Wifi is very slow and not working usually
Room is quite big but my toilet seat broke which was not comfortable
Room service was great
TV was quite small
And one of my lamps was not working
But i like the nice view of the sea
And the shower is nice and has a bath tub
All and all i'll give it a three star but if you fix the slow wifi problem i'll give it a 4 star because i think thats the main issue of the hotel

The Livermead Cliff Hotel in Torquay is in a great location to the west of the town. It is a bit dated but very comfortable; good breakfasts served at the table and the rooms are certainly warm. Beds are large and matresses comfortable too. Staff very helpful. Best to book sea-view rooms away from the buy main road - worth the extra cost.

Poor room more like a cupboard very old fashioned bathroom no heating noisey aluminium windows road noise all night noisey squeaking floorboards slow at serving breakfast reception staff not polite and snap at you when asking a question

Fantastic place to stay , loads of parking , lovely rooms , food outstanding , all the staff couldn't be more efficient.

A nice hotel with lovely staff. A really nice stay with family. Well worth it, as we had a nice time. Thanks for the great stay. Hope to be back again

Great place to go for the food and the views from the rooms

We stayed for 4 nights had great time in hotel with fantastic meals with great views of the sea from our window.the staff were excellent especially the waitresses who couldn't do enough for you ,RAQUEL from Barcelona and GEORGINA who were great.
The only things that were disappointing was the fact that I made a complaint about guests who were in the room above and my complaint was ignored by a receptionist who didn't follow my complaint up,and the fact there were too many dogs in the hotel,other than that our stay was fine.
