I liked the place but it was very dated.

I liked the place but it was very dated.
It had a good ballroom, meals were good on a Christmas break.
Good views at front none at rear.
Not much of a car park.
Good helpfull staff .

If you are thinking of staying at the Belgrave Hot...

If you are thinking of staying at the Belgrave Hotel Tenby there are some things you might like to know.
The hotel is situated on the seafront overlooking the North beach. Inside, the public areas, bar and lounge are nice and modern. The dining room is in the basement and on two levels which is not ideal as it is hot, cramped and noisy.
When you leave the public areas it's like stepping back 50 years in time. The stairs and hallways have dirty old carpet, walls and woodwork. The lift is in the stairwell and stops at every half landing which means you still have to go up or down a flight of stairs to get to your room, there are stairs everywhere.
Our room was on the top floor and had not been decorated since we'll before the smoking ban and smelled like an old ashtray, so we had to keep the window open. The bathroom was carpeted and stank of stale urine so much so that we were reluctant to go in there in bare feet.
On the plus side, the linen was clean, the food was good and the staff were friendly and helpful.
If we hadn't been there as part of an organised coach tour we wouldn't have stayed there.
My advice is if you are thinking of staying there, insist on seeing the room before you decide to stay.

Stayed at the Belgrave from Friday to Monday, pleasantly surprised the main bar, reception, entertainment room and dinning areas had been refurbished and were clean and bright.
The staff are friendly and the service at the bar and in the dinning room is fast and efficient.
The quality and quantity of the food is well above average with a good varied menu.
The only down side are the rooms, they are in need of a make over and be prepared to tackle the stairs there's lots of them.
Would i stay there again? yes definitely.

Absolutely superb view.

Absolutely superb view.
The rooms are a little dated but the veiw and the service makes up for that.

Great value for money if you have a view like i did (403)

Very helpful staff, nice views of sea and coast. Rooms leave a lot to be desired mine was a double but with a washbasin in the room. Toilet and shower in a wardrobe size cupboard. TV ruined by gale force winds blowing and at nights deafening thumping from electronic drums and bass from entertainment in area on ground floor right below my room. I give them full marks for intentions and a very tidy attractive seating area but they need to improve on many things

This is a nice hotel. It's in a great location if you like beaches and the sea, there is a beach five minutes walk away and a seaview right outside. The main town of Tenby is also around five minutes walk away. Parking is okay, the dedicated car park at the back is small but the seafront parking is available as well. The interior is a little worn in places, old carpets in some corridors or a crack in the ceiling somewhere, but overall it was pleasant and comfortable. The main thing I think of as average is the food. Breakfast is a pretty good buffet but only served for one hour, and the dinner when we ate there in the evening wasn't very nice. Still, it's very close to plenty of other places to eat. The price per night was good value so I recommend it.

Very nice hotel had elderly relatives staying for a week and they said they food and the accommodation was really good . We joined them for a drink one evening and my only criticism they only sold canned beers and cider (very strange when none of them pumps were working! !!).

Great

Well located hotel on sea front looking at Caldey Island. 5 minute walk to town centre. Clean hotel. Reception area very small... set back. Large entertainnent room with small room for playing pool, slot machine. Bar good size but needs modernising. Slow to replace bottled drinks and no Bailey's after 1st night and not replaced. Bedrooms need updating, comfy bed. You access the lift from the first floor..not ground floor..by walking up 9 steps. Lift stops between floors but you can go down to basement for the restaurant access. Dining room modern light and the food is excellent and good service.

After staying there periodically for 25 yrs this time when we arrived the weather was horrendous. It was pre our 50th wedding anniversary. Our room window was leaking and a bowl in the bay window to catch the drips!!! Seriously needs some upgrading. Same in the bar. More bowls!!! Our room was steaming when the sun eventually came out. Last time for us im afraid

Pretty weak services comparing with the prices. Also no wi fi which was frustrated for me as no signal on phone as well. And if you have breakfast included be sure that you'll eat the same food again and again and again with no options. But they are quite optimistic as each morning will ask you what would you like for breakfast(I said 7days in a row that I don't want toast and 7days in row they put toast on table for me...). Maybe they are hopping in a change over night. The cleaning is in doubts as well, so be careful.

Fairly typical old style seaside hotel. Downstairs public areas fairly recently renovated by they look of things. Stairs and landings in need of renovation, looking very tired. We stayed in a double room that was two single beds pushed More

Had holiday there last week. The hotel was clean and my room was lovely, plenty of room and everything needed was in it. The only downfall was lots of stairs. I haven't any mobility issues but there were several guests that were unsteady on their feet. Even though there were lifts throughout , even down to the restaurant, it would be difficult for some. The food was excellent and good choices. It was nice to have a buffet type breakfast. The hotel is facing the beach and beautiful scenery.

We popped in for a late lunch and were welcomed warmly, despite being thinly staffed the service was swift and quality high. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend based on that alone, but in addition everything seemed very clean and the dining room had lots of space between tables.

We booked the Belgrave Hotel as a birthday surprise for me and loved every moment there. It was Wednesday when we left home but it was New Year's Eve when we arrived 2 hours later, it was a Turkey and Tinsel break which was a lovely surprise.
The reception ladies were really helpful with both the hotel and also parking nearby.
First night we had a 5 course Gala Dinner which was absolutely delicious and more than enough. Later there was a singer in the lounge who was very talented.
Second night was only? 3 courses and they were also superb, followed again by another singer / comedian in the lounge.
The waiting staff are all fantastic with all courses being served very quickly with a lovely friendly manner. Gareth in the bar certainly knows his stuff.
We had a seafront room overlooking Caldy Island and the beach up towards Giltar Point. The room was excellent and very reasonably priced.
Breakfast both mornings was self service with top quality ingredients, all overseen by a very attentive chef.
It was so good at the Belgrave that we returned 2 weeks later and booked 2 hours ago for another couple of days.

We had a huge spotless room with a sea view that was absolutely stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful and the whole hotel is charming. Hot water is a little slow to run but not a major issue, it just requires patience. We really enjoyed out stay and plan to visit again next year.

Location is right on the sea front with some lovely sea views, room very clean and tidy including the bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities, shampoo and shower gel etc in the room ready. Only thing i could say was room was in need of a little TLC but it was clean. We stayed for bed and breakfast so didn't have an evening meal but the breakfast was a buffet kind of set up, with all the food tasting hot and fresh. Tea and coffee was brought to the table by the waitress and we were also asked if we'd like some toast, which again was brought to the table. Staff were all polite and friendly. We'd stay here again if we visited Tenby again.

Staff were very helpful and the hotel is in a great location being a stones throw from the south Beach and town walls. Only issue was the website advised Internet available, we discovered this is only available on the ground and first floors.

The food was excellent.

The food was excellent.
The staff were brilliant.
The rooms were clean and tidy, with adequate wardrobe and draw space.unfortunately the lift broke while we were there and did not get fixed when we left... but we cannot blame the hotel for this it was down to the firm who was asked to fix it ...and did not. Please note there is no actual ground floor. You still need to climb too flights of stairs. All all we had a very nice Holliday here.
