Replies to questions or follow-up were almost immediate. The installers treated my property as they would their own. They were careful and conscientious. After the install, their quality control procedures were excellent. They made sure that everything was just right! We had 2 estimates for enclosing our crawl space. We didn't know if a dehumidifier was necessary and the expense, upkeep, and potential break down seemed problematic. Chris from Live Green gave us a thorough inspection and estimate without the dehumidifier and reasons why we could do it successfully without it. We were thrilled with the price. The installers came and were professional and very thorough cleaning. They went above and beyond time and again in the two days they worked at our home. The owner built 3 beautiful doors, 2 in the crawl space and one that is seen from the back of the house. Highly recommend!
Great to see a company that does not pressure like they need the sale to stay in business. The guys came by, gave a me a quote, was here when they said they would be, completed work, no problems. Reasonably priced. The last company that came to give me a quote tried to sell me everything I did not want or need, not Live Green.

Absolute no pressure to buy services. Very knowledgeable of the current science AND building codes. Very professional. On time. Cleaned up after work complete. If only my garage could look as good as my Crawlspace. We had a new air conditioner installed, AC guys explained we had a moisture problem under our house and needed to have it looked into. We had someone out in Feb to look at other Crawlspace issue and it was dry.. Summer comes and situation completely different, 20 years worth of condensation on AC stuff and insulation was starting to pose a problem. Had 6 quotes, all with varying methods of resolving the issue that those of us in the southeast face this time of year in every mid to large home with a Crawlspace. Although there are many slightly less expensive methods to resolve the problem, this was the only that had no moving parts to fail and provided a holistic way of improving the air through the entire home without major outlay of cash. This is a complete solution not a partial fix. The price was fair and the work done beyond expectation. They handled all of the parts and pieces of the job including dealing with any mold if they found it, one stop shopping with the highest level of professionalism. Very satisfied.
As a follow up.. After one week the moisture level remained extremely high in the structure after they removed the original tarp and insulation under my home. After a few days with the finished product the moisture levels remained high but lower than they had been before the live green process. The team has been back to pull down that moisture to a point where the configuration can maintain close to the interior home humidity over time. They have also rechecked for any signed of mold. They have been professional and ready throughout. The greatest mark of quality service is how they deal with issues after the install. Matt and his team have shined. Still very satisfied with both the product and the company installing it. Highly recommend.
I hired LiveGreen to insulate an addition with spray foam insulation. Gabe was terrific to work with, Victor (the installer) did neat and outstanding work with careful consideration for my home, and LiveGreen offered amazing customer service when we ran into a hiccup with the project, making sure I ended up very happy. Great company!
We had Live Green seal and encapsulate our crawl space approximately 5 years ago, I believe it was in Sept 2014. Originally we had moisture problems, several/many of the floor joists had more than 40% moisture content, and most joists had at least 20% moisture content. The moisture problems developed into rodent and mildew problems. Also we would occasionally smell a musty smell inside the house, I believe it was from poorly sealed AC registers in the floor. During the summer and winter, doors in our house would jam in the door frames. In summer some doors would jam, but in winter those doors would free and different doors would jam. In the summer, we would have a depression in the hardwood floor in our dining room. In winter that depression in the dining room floor would flatten out.
I do mostly DIY projects, but I knew I would never be able to finish a crawlspace encapsulation in a time frame which would make my wife happy. To deal with moisture entry I installed drainage around the outside of the foundation. Then I dried out the crawlspace with a large shop fan. Afterwards I hired Live Green to encapsulate the crawl space and replace all the AC ducting and plenums (rodent problem). Prior to Live Green encapsulating, the drying efforts brought the crawlspace down to less than 15% everywhere.
During encapsulation Live Green removed all the old joist insulation, sprayed and physically scrubbed mildew from the joists, added vents to the crawl space plenums to condition the crawl space, and placed the foam board and vapor barrier on the block walls. They also pointed out some water intrusion in the crawl space due to leaks in siding and flashing, which I was able to fix. Immediately upon completion, we noticed that the musty smell was mostly gone. Within about 6 months, we noticed that the doors were not jamming the same way they had always been, and also that the depression in the dining room floor was different. Within a year, the doors which jammed were consistently jamming and not changing at all. Also the dining room floor depression became consistent (the fact that there is a depression is because the builder did a lousy job). What this means is that the crawl space continued to dry out after the encapsulation was completed, and since it encapsulated, the different conditions of winter vs summer are not effecting the crawl space. The consistency made the door jams easy to fix.
We have a 330 gallon propane tank. In the last 5 years we have noticed that we now only use about 2.5 tank fulls of propane per year, where previously we had used at least 3 tank fulls of propane. There have been no other changes to our consumption. I never would have believed this would happen if we had not tracked it ourselves. The floor is much warmer in the winter, but I really don't notice a difference in the summer. I measured the floor joist moisture content recently, and many joists would not register any reading on the moisture meter. My moisture meter will not read below 7% moisture content, which means the crawl space has continued to dry over the last 5 years (they were about 15% prior to encapsulation).
If you are reading this review and doubt it because it all seems very specific, well you are correct, it is very specific. I am an engineer by profession and I am cheap by nature, so assessing before and after results via data is something I do all the time, especially when it's my own money I'm spending. Writing the check was painful, but frankly, if I ever buy another house, I'll have the crawl space encapsulated pre-emptively. This was one of the best improvements we have made to the house, and I am very happy with Live Green's performance given the price.
The company aims for greener solutions, but they drive a Hummer as a company vehicle, which is notoriously bad for the environment. If you're going for true green-ness, I'd suggest finding a less hypocritical company.
I have decided to write this review after waiting and giving each individual ample time to respond to my emails. But when the email that you receive back says they have decided to bow out that is not acceptable. I responded to Stan asking him and Mr. Roland if this meant they were NOT honoring the warranty and I have yet to receive a response. I have tried to contact them multiple times for job that was done to inquire about some work that needs to be redone under the "WARRANTY" at the same time I inquired to receive a quote for additional work for another sump pump. I literally waited for 2 weeks for anyone to contact me then 3 weeks before receiving the quote. I typically don't beg people to take my money but I didn't want to void a warranty on the 5600.00 job. I have had them come out and agree that there are several areas in July that needed to be retaped on the sealing of my crawlspace. I again followed up on the status of the quote and warranty issues and they said they were at my house and installed a sump pump on 10/23/20 then told me they have gps in their trucks and it shows them at my house. Well my cameras don't show them nor do I have a sump pump in the location. However, my neighbors across the street had work by them. When I tried to call them they were not very nice to deal with on the phone and not willing to work with me. I have had constant issues with their poor installation. I have taken several videos and pictures of this and I would not recommend using them if they are not willing to respond back to you or are not open in talking with you. 5600.00 is not cheap for a job that was not done correctly or even have someone come back and recheck.I feel they take advantage of their customers and are not interested in the health and well being of us.

The finished product looks great and I am pleased to have the peace of mind knowing that not only does my crawl space look great but also knowing that I will not have to worry about humidity and mold growth down the road. Project completed timely and in budget despite running into problems related to my aging heater. While other companies recommended heater replacement, Live Green searched for a solution they believe existed and they finally found it. Great customer communications.
Chris was very quick to come out and give us an estimate. He explained the entire process where it was easy to understand and we knew this was the right decision to seal the crawlspace.It is so clean under there now, I have no issue going inside there now. No more worries of critters or installation falling down because of moisture. They also put in a new door to our crawlspace. We really love it and wish we had done this sooner. Thanks for the guys that put it in working on the day after Thanksgiving.
