So much to say yet nothing I can say will give this experience what it deserves. Please go support the efforts of this nonprofit working to give previously abused and neglected exotic animals a healthy and good life! Michelle is an EXPERT GUIDE and we'll be back for other visits on the day she works!!! It's sad to know about but ignoring the truth about what some humans do to animals for profit or "fun," won't change the truth. Please donate and/or go enjoy viewing these majestic animals.

What an amazing sanctuary and nature preserve for abused and neglected exotic animals! May blessings rain down on Bobbi Brink and her amazing staff and volunteers who take such compassionate care of these big cats and bears! Their habitats are full of engaging 'toys', pools and waterfalls, and every animal that my sister and I fed looked happy and healthy. We elected to do the Exclusive Behind the Scenes tour which was a costly but worthy endeavor. Learning about each animal - where they had come from and what they had been through - really opened my eyes to the ignorance of mankind when the desire to own a wild animal overrides common sense. I'm so grateful that Bobbi has made it her mission to save the animals from abuse, mismanagement and neglect while giving voice to this folly and fantasy. Lions, Tigers and Bears is a testimony of love, giving dignity and respect to these kings and queens of the animal world.

My visit to LTB was more than I could have hoped for! In my opinion, the introduction video and tour were both the perfect length, and my husband and I appreciated that afterwards we had the freedom to go back and take more time to look at the animals that we wanted to see a little more of. Everyone we talked to was very knowledgeable and you can tell that the people who work and volunteer there are passionate about the cause and the organization. Though learning about the exotic animal trade is a sad and somewhat depressing topic, I left feeling hopeful for the future because of organizations like this one.

Ive been spending a lot of time here, and ive seen a lot of tours go through and a lot of smiles on peoples faces.
I have not seen the employees here be anything but kind and compassionate.
The animals are given the respect they deserve here, its a beautiful place to come visit. Beautiful location as well, in the rolling hills of east county, oak groves etc.

SO educational! Alyssa, the volunteer coordinator, was our guide today. She was very knowledgeable and personable. We met Bobby, the owner at the start of the experience. They're doing GREAT things here rescuing neglected and abandoned animals!

As 30 something tourists in San Diego, my husband and I were looking for activities not really involving the crowds at the San Diego Zoo/Safari Park, and for ethical reasons did not want to go to Sea World. I found this sanctuary on google, and found a groupon for an opportunity to feed one of their animals.

It is about 40 minutes outside of San Diego, we used a rental car to get there. Before the tour started we watched a few informational videos about their cause and the sanctuary. I admire what this place stands for and what they provide for animals in need.

During the tour I chose to feed Bakhari, their male lion, and I also won a raffle to feed their newest member - a tiger cub. My husband fed one of their jaguars.

We fed the animals using a fork, about the length of a fork you would use to turn meet on a bbq, through a fence. Getting up close to the animals was an experience, and knowing what they went through just tugs at your heart strings.

If we lived in San Diego I would have probably signed up as a volunteer.

This is an incredible experience! The sanctuary saves the lives of animals while also creating an environment for people to share the lives of these majestic animals. So impressive what this group of employees & volunteers can accomplish!

Definitely go if you're thinking about it, but make sure you're there early. We arrived at 1:28 (for a 1:30 appointment and they don't allow you to arrive early) and they had already started the videos they make you watch before proceeding on the tour. They had us stand around for 10+ minutes for the videos to start up again and had us just catch up with the others, we missed one exhibit and half of another. I also find it a moral gray area to have these animals dance for their food in order to raise money for the organization. The one tiger gets obviously stressed when they do this. I know they're much better off here, but I hate seeing this unnecessary stress.

Great place to visit with kids and for all animal lovers. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. This exotic animal rescue gives abused and mistreated big cats and bears a safe and beautiful forever home. There is no direct human contact with the animals for their safety and yours. You can buy a package that allows you to feed an animal with a fork on a long pole. I learned a lot about how each animal came to be there and also about the abusive animal trade that is putting exotic animals in terrible living conditions and people in danger. Come see the animals, hear their stories and support L.T.B's efforts to expand their habitat to rescue more animals in need of help. Visit their gift shop where you can buy t-shirts and other items to support the L.T.B rescue. The owner Bobby is doing an amazing job advocating and educating people on animal rights and abuse taking place in our country and all over the world. BIG THANKS! for all the good that you and your staff are doing.

I think it s wonderful this is a sanctuary for the animals. I have a few, what I hope to be helpful suggestions:

(1) your check in groups put us in Group A or Group B. We had to group together (in parties of 20-30 people for nearly 40 minutes (how is that adhering to covid guidelines in CA?) We had to wait and watch a video of how the animals in the sanctuary were abused. I think all of us understood that. It s why we paid the hearty prices for entry.

(2) We were required to 40 minutes wait in line of we paid 2 hours experience... So really 1 hour and 20 minutes of group led experience. There was no permission to wander and experience this freely.

(3) This environment is not designed for children under 10 (note: running and climbing are on the do not rules told to us 40 minute in).

Extremely disappointed.

The organisation is doing a great job taking care of the animals! I'm grateful for them. The tour is guided and it takes around an hour and a half. This is good because I'm not wandering around like I will at a zoo. You can get to see the animals quite close and safe. They also offer a cabin for rent so you can enjoy the safari experience. Small kids like mine got bored pretty quickly unfortunately. They enjoyed playing in the dirt instead.

Even after being spoiled living here with San Diego Zoo passes and wild animal park, this was a wonderful experience I highly recommend. This is a wonderful TRUE rescue with great people behind it caring about the animals. Be sure to feed the animals if bringing a date!

All round excellent experience. You are able to get up really close to the animals and if you purchase a feeding ticket feed one of the animals of your choosing. A few tips, they do a raffle before the tour starts to feed an animal so if you have not purchased a feeding ticket, you can buy a raffle ticket for just $5. Also, they sell annual pass memberships at the end of the trip for 50% off. Given the great work they do here, your money will be well spent!

A must see. The care and concern for these magnificent animals by the wonderful staff is immediately evident upon arrival. All need to learn about the plight of exotic pets and what can be done to improve conditions for all.

This is a really cool place. Cheaper than seaworld, but you see more animals than the SD zoo & seaworld (closer too). You also get more of a guided experience which keeps you more engaged. I highly recommend this to tourists and locals.

Lions, Tigers, and Bears was excellent! Although we were a little late, they did not mind and happily put us into the tour late. The staff was really nice, the animals were very active and stress free; the whole place just had a good vibe to it. I highly suggest Lions, Tigers, and Bears to a tourist, the only set back: a long drive there and back. Other than that, coming from an animal activist my self, I love the work they do and support it to the fullest.

LOVED!! Enter the raffle to win a free feeding to any animal. We just adored our visit. We'll be back with my parents and use the little golf cart to help my mom view the beautiful animals. We learned so much! Thank you for a very happy day.

This is a great experience to see beautiful animals and also learn about the problems that require this kind of sanctuary. It is not a zoo. The staff has amazing stories to tell and they all have a happy ending. Go see this place - truly fascinating.

We did the Behind the Scenes experience for my daughter s graduation gift. It was an amazing day. Brian, our guide, was wonderful and taught us about each animal, their likes, personalities and stories. You can tell that he and the rest of the staff and volunteers love these animals and are committed to taking the best care possible for these animals. I highly recommend supporting and visiting Lions, Tigers and Bears. It s truly an exceptional, once in a lifetime experience.

I am Supporting this Sanctuary second year in a row! I love this place! What a great day. Animals here are amazing and you will never see them from so close and active anywhere else. Our guide today Elise was great, fun and knowledgable! Highly recommend this place. Will be back for sure.

My husband and I were very impressed with this place. The animals are well taken care of and I was amazed at how close we were able to get to the animals. Most of the animals are used to people and come right up to the fence in order to get treats. This sanctuary does a great job of educating the people on the exploitation of these poor creatures. It is well worth the money and your time to go visit this sanctuary.

A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. The staff and volunteers here needs an inservice on customer service. From our initial interaction with the staff telling us where to park till the end, it was 100% clear that the staff doesn't care about the people who take the time to visit but they do care about your money.

I brought my 10 year old daughter here on her birthday. She was even wearing a birthday girl badge. Not a single staff member said "happy birthday" or even bothered to interact with her. The graphic animal trade videos are not appropriate for children. The staff response to me covering my daughter's eyes during the video "These aren't even the worse pictures". They won't let anyone under 18 years old feed an animal which I understand why, but come up with some kind of interaction for kids.

Both myself and my daughter left feeling more aware of the wild life animal trade issues but also profoundly disappointed with our visit. I've been to other licensed sanctuaries and had a much better visit because the staff showed they cared both for the animals and for those who come to visit.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! This animal sanctuary is stunning, the staff are so passionate about animals and love what they do. You can tell how well the animals are taken care of and how much they trust their volunteers. My family and I will be returning often and filling out applications to volunteer up there

It is such a great experience. Everybody was nice and you can tell that they really do care about the animals. Not only do you get to see them really close, but you get to learn about the animals as well. Not only is everything good, but the place is beautiful. Definitely worth it and we will be going back.

My family and I visited on Saturday September 19th. Boy was it hot out! The group we were in was quite large, so we had to wear masks the whole time, which made the heat worse :( Coming from Chicago, I did not understand how hot desert heat is! Most of the animals came out, but maybe if the group was smaller, more would have come out. I would like to return on a weekday with much less people. The bathrooms are nice and air conditioned. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and it was amazing to learn about all the animals and their stories. We did not upgrade to feeding an animal, but you get to watch those who did do it quite close, so I was ok with that. My family and I agree that it was a wonderful trip - very cool to learn about all these animals and to see them up close. They are doing God's work here, giving these animals a life of luxury like they deserve.

One of a kind place to see rescued lions, Tigers and Bears plus many other wild animals rescued from various situations. I've never been closer to a male lion or a 9 foot Siberian tiger. Gorgeous, well cared for animals in a friendly informative setting. LOVED IT!!!!!
