Joslyn and Erin at Front Desk did a great job on helping me get my money back. 'The unknown' charges in my account is now being refunded. They accommodated me with utmost respect and I did not get a slight negativity or bad vibes through them. Basically they trusted me and gave me the chance to talk. Thank you guys sorry for the bad reviews .
A good stay for the night, but the area outside a little sketchy.
The bathroom and night auditor were amazing. Very inviting atmosphere.
Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Nonsmokeing rooms smells like smoke as people continue to smoke in the other nonsmokeing rooms next you. Terrible area of town plenty of homeless and people high on drugs walking around the property.
The restaurant is limited.my burger was good though. The room was comfortable.
We stayed here in early 2012, had an absolutely wonderful stay, plan on staying again next time we're in the area. Rooms were comfy and clean and the staff was very kind and professional! Highly recommend! :)
Is there no quiet time! Guys on the roof outside my window at 11 pm pressure washing and yelling at each other.
I have yet to stay at the hotel, however the bar area is clean, service prompt, food is tasty, although depending on what you order not good value for the money. For example, the Chicken wings or either $12 to $13 and you get 5 skimpy pieces with celery on the side; that's approximately $2.40 per piece....If the pieces are going to be as small as they are they should throw in at least 3 extra pieces or $1.25 per piece.. The hamburger is HUGE and tasty that's a winner!! And the Calamari is delicious with ample portions, way to go!!'
The rooms are really nice. Like little apartments. A little hoity toity, though. YMMV.
Great hotel! Bar is lit on Thurs and Fridays.(Kareoke) Front desk Shadi (SHAW-DEE) is awesome !! Need i say more ..checkin now
I come to the Lions Gate Hotel at least twice a month for a weekly dancing social on the patio near the pool. The staff is very friendly and professional. We always have great time ordering drinks and appetizers and dancing the night away under the stars.
No elevator but room was clean and equipped with small kitchen
O'Club in Lions Gate 1st Saturday of the month are fun if you like old school hip hop / R&B.
We were in Club Room B for a retirement party. The ambiance was fabulous. The food was delicious. And the wait staff were friendly, and efficient. It was an enjoyable night.
Nice location, good services and a very friendly and helpful staff
Lovely setting, fantastic food, all around a great place!
Made reservations a few weeks in advance for an event I was going to. This was to be the designated hotel everyone from the event was to stay at. I called around 1:30 in the afternoon on the day of check in to make sure everything with the reservation was still set. The gal that answered said our room was still set for our reservation. After a 5 or so hour drive after work and arriving at 11 pm, the young man at the front desk said there was a group of firefighters that were overstaying there reservation because they were still fighting a fire locally (fighting an imaginary fire I suppose, found nothing about a fire locally at that time nor did we see any fire trucks or firemen donning their fire fighting gear). They said that they did not have a room for us and we would have to go to another hotel. We were livid. We would have had to stay the first night at the other hotel then check out of that hotel and back in to the Lion's Gate on the second day. What an inconvenience. We ended up at the Holiday Inn Express on Auburn and stayed the whole time there, so happy we did. The Holiday Inn was clean, nice room, good breakfast, and the pool looked nice but we never used it. We will never stay or, attempt to stay, at the Lion's Gate Hotel again.
Confrence room was large, dimly lit and had electrical problems for people needing to use laptops. The staff was attentive in attempting to solve all issues
Great Place, Loos Awesome, I had a great time at the event.
Advise to read full review. The room we booked was extremely small, maybe 100 square feet small. The hotel accidently charged us twice, so we received a free room upgrade to the King Executive Suite, which was very nice. DO NOT GET THE CHEAP ROOM IT'S SO SMALL. Pool was small, but nice and they had a nice outdoor area for drinks, food and socializing outside the Officer's Club bar and restaurant. The reason for four stars rather than three was their willingness to take care of us on their mistake
We have eaten in the restaurant several times. The food and service have always been great. The menu changes seasonally. It's nice to find a restaurant off the beaten path, and that's not a chain.
Clean and well kept. Easy to access and close to freeway.
Had a wonderful Easter Brunch experience today(2019). The staff was very attentive and courteous to our large party. The food was an experience in its self. They severed a wide variety of food from bagels to freshly made to ordered right in front of you omelette's to baby quiches. Then you were able to finish the brunch off with a beautiful desert spread of cakes pies & a candy bar.
The room I got is small. They have bigger ones but I think it's luck of the draw.
Suites are spacious and beds are comfortable. We will definitely search for this franchise when we travel again.
They have updated. They do have egg, bacon and sausages. They are very propt with any problems. Had a wonderful stay.
Great People, room subpar, former Miliitary base. Heater didn't work, room cold. Bathroom sink not draining and tub draining slowly. I will try again because they assured me it would be fixed.
I am reevaluating because I believe they will do better next time. Upping my rating to 4 stars. Next time I'm sure we will get 5. Again the staff was exceptional. I stay at many places and believe this place and it's staff are awsome.
I thought the room I had was exceptional. Obviously remodeled since I was here last. The only critique I would have is that a couple of the drawers were pulled out too far and off the track - I pulled out the bathroom top drawer and did the same. Beds, desk, furnishings - all top notch. Even with the 100 degree weather outside, the inside was not more than 75 degrees, and usually a few lower, even without the air conditioner turned on. Out of the hundreds of places I have stayed at over the past 50 years plus, this is one of the best.
It is an ok place... Stayed there for 2 weeks for classes... Some of the rooms are REALLY small... But for my purpose it was decent. If you get a room adjacent to the street, be prepared for a long night of ghetto sounds... Like street racing, thumping music and sirens... I spent my second week facing the inner courtyard and it was super quiet...
The area is an old airforce base and the layout of the hotel is strange. Rooms are across parking lots to the main lobby, dinning and pool with no real maps anywhere. Rooms are cleand and nicely remodeled, but some of the doors and cabinet drawers stuck some. The room did have microwave, fridge/freezer, plus sink and stove top which was a bonus.
Breakfast does not include bacon and eggs and is an un-expected up-charge! Not cool.
Did a painting event here that was very fun. Good bartender. Terrible waitress that did not know how to use POS system and couldn't remember order, also overcharged us. Very impressed with decor. Overall very nice place. Just had the wrong waitress.
Came for paint night, bathroom bit old but overall fine
The food at the Lexington Legacy is amazing. The staff is also very nice.
I actually stayed in room 1030, because I had the air conditioning on people going up and down the stairs did not bother me. Also the laundry room next door was not a problem. in fact they helped me out a couple of times. As for the grounds.....I would not call them beautiful. They were okay. The area really was not that bad.
The problem I did have was the air conditioning leaked, I had to put towels on the floor and the wast basket under the drip, It took them 2 days to fix it. Then the tank on the toilet flooded when I flushed. At least it was clean water. :) Would I stay there again. Not for what they charge.
The room was very nice. Continental breakfast. Very friendly staff.
Nice place to stay with an entire team if you are there for youth softball.
Very nice hotel. Very professional staff. Well maintained. Would absolutely recommend.
This place is not in best area had to drive through a pretty rough area to get here. The rooms are so ran down, the carpet doesn't even meet at the wall, there are holes in the walls and you can see where an attempt was made to patch them. The chairs have ripped cushions, and the bed and pillows are as hard as heck. If I could have I would have left this place, but couldn't afford to lose the money that I paid already and go to another hotel. With all this said, I have to be fair, it is clean, and I looked and I didn't see any evidence of bed bugs. Just not my cup of tea, especially for the amount of money they charged me to stay. I also tried out the restaurant and the staff was friendly and helpful and the food was good, but expensive.
Update...The Director of Operations contacted my and apologized about how the room looked and reassured me that this doesn't represent his hotel and please give them another chance. I really appreciated the phone call and him reaching out, and I agreed to give them another chance to show me what a wonderful hotel they really are, and I am looking forward to it. For this reason I am upgrading my score. I will update the score again accordingly when I visit again. Thank you for reaching out.
Very noisy at night, dirty rooms, blankets were making my body itch!
Very orderly and clean. Rooms are small and plane but the vibes are great. We will be staying there again. The officers club menu was small but because it was wonderful fresh food. Worth the little extra price.
A quaint and really cool end although practical, still a very nice place to stay. They provide continental breakfast with a small upcharge for hot breakfast. I love that they allow pets for a small fee oh, and they have a pool and jacuzzi and gym available. Employees are very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are great. However, I was not informed about the immediate charge for a debit transaction. The male bartender was also inattentive and brusk. I had issues with my room key and I went down to the front desk and the person who helped me was very friendly.
Parking was confusing, and the food was standard. Nothing very special. Service was good, and the presentation looked professional.
Horrible hotel dirty and smelled like cigarettes seen a homeless man go through a bathroom window went to get ice from ice machine and there was bugs in the ice just absolutely disgusting never will stay here again NEVER!!!!
Made was knocking on my door at 8:30 in the morning
This hotel is pretty nice, and the breakfasts are so good! It is worth paying the extra to get the buffet!
Clean room very reasonable ! Friendly staff and complimentary breakfast was delicious and fully stocked. My spouse and I visit Sacramento often this will definitely be our to go to hotel from now on!
Not near the best in the area, won't stay again. Not recommended for a senior citizen or disabled person.
Brought in the New Years...2020 New determination and Goal setting
Went there to dance to SABROSO SUNDAY Latin dancing. The best in town dj Michael V.
The rooms were very nice. The staff was wonderful, helpful, and courtesy. The food was wonderful.
We were a group of six people and had two rooms, one double very nicely renovated and another with a room and a suite, which had a lot of room but a bit old fashioned. Simple breakfast
The room is adequate, the bathroom pocket door doesn't close. The shower curtain is barely long enough to fit inside the bathtub, the bathroom faucet was leaking and flooded the bathroom. The air conditioner decided to quit, and there is NO elevator to the 2nd floor.
Stay here often for business, the hotel has made improvements over the years! Erin and Madison are always accommodating to my last minute reservations and make sure I always get the room type I like. Thanks girls!
My husband and I stayed 2 nights in an excellent place, very clean room, very friendly staff, everything was perfect. Javon, shampoo, and conditioner of the best and suite 5122 very spacious and very comfortable
I stayed in a recently remodeled room, very nice accommodations. Two peson bar with stools, stove top sink and everything you would need in a small apartment. Close to stores and restaurants and the ghetto. They do have security guards walking the property and i was very comfortable. Very fine staff only wish I had some tume to checkout the Officers club. Will stay again if in the area.
Rooms we're clean and the food was good. The personnel we're professional. We had a good time.
Hotel was great! I enjoyed the weekend festivities in the restaurant and bar area. The staff were really friendly, Madison was especially helpful. Will return if I am ever in Sacramento!
Rooms are very clean ! Room service was amazing & the entire staff provided excellent service !! Happy stay and very happy with the hotel
Former Air Force housing turned into hotel is very interesting and unique stay. Plenty of parking and breakfast nice rooms
I attended an event at the bar last weekend. Great drinks and awesome music. Door man was friendly.
Very decent hotel, the rooms aren't posh, but the staff and service is first rate.
