Lindsay Ford was outstanding to work with in purchasing a new car. Tom LaGrave and his manager Sarah are car professionals. I worked with Tom and his time and experience in the business showed. He is very knowledgeable on the vehicles, their specs and features. I came to the dealership with an idea of what I was looking and he showed me different options. Tom was attentive to my interests and demands and got me into the right car at a good price. I am very satisfied with my experience with the team and my first Ford vehicle.

Just awful service all the way around. I bought a car with them that has had constant problems since the day I bought it. They never resolved the issue and it kept reappearing and by then my warranty had expired. The same issue was ongoing and I couldn t make an appointment with them because I would be out of a car and unable to work. They said it was too late because the warranty expired even though this issue had been ongoing.

They re awful at communication and most of the employees are lackadaisical and spend time chatting with each other yet I hear them on the phone tell people all their service center employees are not available.

Never buy from Lindsay Ford. If you sorely want a Ford, go to a different dealership altogether. Buying from this dealership was the worst decision I ever made.

My entire experience at Lindsay was exceptional. I was supported by an entire of sales and financing staff who listened and provided personalized service. I initially started working with Bill and he referred me to Antoine Tindal. Antoine was very helpful an attentive. He gave a thorough overview of the vehicle. Throughout the entire process, he was professional and answered all my questions.

When I went into financing, I was treated well and the process with quick and painless. I got a great interest rate!

Overall, I was treated like a valued customer and drove away with a new car, which was a great deal!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I sat for FOUR HOURS, with an appointment might I add and they did absolutely nothing with my car for FOUR HOURS. I was told it would be three hours maximum by my service person but clearly, that was a lie. I patiently waited four hours and then demanded that my car be returned. Do not come here unless your interested in wasting your time. NEVER AGAIN! Worst Ford dealer ever!

No apology from management only excuses. Then, my service person tried to belittle me by telling me to calm down and have a seat as if I was his child. But if you re looking for a free place to crash with free WiFi, coffee and no results, here s your place! Come on down and join this group of useless individuals at Lindsay Ford!

A big shout out to John Kernan. My first time to own a Ford car and the it was the best service i have ever experienced. I love the email that he sent showing the work done on my car, shared some tips in how to keep my car in good shape, the text messages informing me of my appointment and when my car is ready for pick up after the service. I could not find the survey in my email but I want to commend John for an excellent customer service.

I'm pretty certain that this place really ripped me off and took advantage of me not knowing much about cars. This is a long review but there's a lot that needs to be explained:

The check engine light on my Ford fusion hybrid went off, and the same day I called Lindsay Ford to have it brought it. The valet service is very convenient and I'm glad they have that option because I work a lot. The next day they picked up my car and brough it in. Once it was brought in they looked at it and called me to tell me that a pump was broken. I forget which one but it's not relevant. They said that it was covered and that the car would be ready the next day. Sounds perfect.

The next day they call to tell me they replaced the pump but the check engine light was still on and it was due to the engine wire harness being damaged. I had never heard of this before so I asked how it could be damaged and they said likely due to an accident but possibly something else. I had not been in an accident. I have had the car 3 years. I was a little confused but the guy started making it sound like my car was not going to run right unless they replaced the wires and that it was going to be $516. He said that price included everything including tax and me, anxious about not having a car to get to work, agreed to it. He told me this would likely take a day. Maybe longer, and then I got off the phone. After I got off the phone I started thinking more about this and researching this part of my car;
Now, I did buy this car used from Carmax but it was used as a rental previously and the paperwork stated no previous accidents. Even if carmax had lied about this, why would the check engine light go on 3 years later at the exact same time that its going on for the broken pump? Only an hour had passed so I decided to call them and 1. Ask for a photo of this damage and 2. Tell them to hold off because I wanted to take it elsewhere for a second opinion. This didn't sound right To me. When I called and asked they said the repair(they said replacement before) was already finished so they'd only be able to show me a photo of the repaired wire harness. They sent me a photo of a bunch of wires with electrical tape wrapped around it. Okay. So they originally said this would be a full day's worth of work and it only took them an hour or less? Alright.... There's nothing I can really do at this point. The "work" is already done.
So they send me the invoice to pay online and the total is $556. I call and ask what happened to $516 and the guy says this is with tax. I told him that the day before he said $516 was with tax included. He was a little defensive and stated it was going to be more and he even gave me a discount. Well, i couldn't argue about what was said over the phone so I just paid the money and got my car back because I needed it ASAP.

When I looked at the invoice, it says $15 for supplies and $469 and then $70 for misc charges??? In what world is 1 hour(or probably less) of labor to repair a few wires $469?

I realize I'm partially at fault here as I should have just said I wanted a second opinion right away, but it's obvious they scammed me.

Also, two seprate people called me in a row from the dealership asking if I wanted to sell my car when I only brought it in for a repair. Then they sent a text and email asking if I wanted to sell my car; that seemed overkill. This was the closest ford dealer to me but I definitely wont be using them again.

I purchased a vehicle from Lindsay Ford this past weekend and had a great experience. My salesman was Sandy Sanderson and he was extremely honest, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the experience. I knew the exact vehicle for which I was searching and Lindsay Ford had this vehicle on their lot to include the color, trim, options, and equipment group packages. I worked with Sandy and he was able to offer me a great price on my vehicle. Since I was travelling 3 hours from several States away, Sandy was able to work with he sales manager, Christian Perry, to work out all the necessary details prior to my arrival. I was able to have my financing approved and my auto insurance in place prior to setting foot into the dealership. Upon arrival, all we needed to do was take the test drive with Sandy and sign the paperwork.

I highly recommend Lindsay Ford for your future vehicle purchases, but in particular I would recommend purchasing through Sandy and Christian. They made it a entirely pleasurable experience.

Very bad experience. We agreed on a sales price on one of their cars. We spent hours on the phone with insurance and getting the deal finalized. After being there for almost 2 hours after closing time, we told them we would not pay for their extended warranty. "The extended warranty will only add 20$ to your monthly payment" they would say. If you look at the out the door price, the warranty was over $2,000. They tried every trick in the book but we refused. After that they refused to sell us the car and completely wasted our time. They also have an additional fee they tack on to their online price for their inspection. The next day we went to a different dealer with no additional BS fees. Do not go to this dealer, they are very shady and their online prices do not match what the actual price will be. Not even close.

Lindsay Ford was a great place to purchase a car from. They are friendly and professional. From the person at the front desk to the finance people. My salesmen were the best. They weren't pushy, but very patient and helpful. I drove an hour to get to Lindsay Ford bypassing at least two dealerships 10 minutes away from my house. They have the best inventory and deals in the state.

I cant speak on the sales department of this business. This review is about the service department only. I took my Fusion here 10/7 after it failed to start. This was a Saturday. They were closed Sunday and opened back Monday. John called me daily with minimal updates. Finally, on Thursday, 10/12, I went in person to check the status of the diagnostics. They still claimed to not know what was wrong with the vehicle. On Friday, I had my vehicle towed to another dealership who was able to find the problem in a matter of HOURS. My car sat at Lindsay Ford of Wheaton from 10/9 to 10/12 without a diagnostic being run! Thats four days of paying for a rental car that I could've pocketed. Not to mention that NO ONE in the dealership showed any sort of empathy about my situation. This place is trash. I would avoid it at all costs.

Took my car here for routine maintenance and apparently they are clueless about how much air should go in tires. The sticker on the driver's side clearly states 32lbs and so they put 44lbs in my tires! And the icing on the cake is that they tried to sell me a new set of tires when I was there. The car was riding rougher when I left and I checked the pressure the next morning before the sun came up and found them grossly over inflated. Can't help but wonder what else they may be screwing up. Needless to say I will NOT be going back!

The salesman was very nice and very patiently showed us several vehicles. Once we settled on a vehicle, however they turned into a typical used car lot. Be wary, they will try their best underhanded tricks to take advantage of you and your wallet!

I was trying to negotiate the price and the salesman kept saying the internet price was their best price. I asked multiple times for the manager to discuss price and he never came. We were there 4 hours before they finally asked us To go to the business office. I told them we hadn't agreed to a price and was told we would do that now.

They tried to upsell warranties, etc. we declined. He then tells me that the bank has agreed to lower our interest rate by an entire point if we buy the wheel and tire warranty. This is my first indication that something is wrong. If you can lower my rate by a whole point, then clearly you jacked it up on me past what the bank was offering. I asked for the approval sheet and was denied.

Then he mentions a payment amount. This is $50/mo higher than what my auto loan calculator said it would be based off internet price. I asked where this number came from and in very fine print they already had a sales price that was $2,000 higher than internet price. We had still not gotten to speak with anyone about price.

Very ridiculous, we stormed out of there. The only reason we returned and bought the car was because they made multiple concessions over the phone and it was the exact vehicle we wanted. We had also already spent 6 hours there.

Buyer beware!

WORST dealership ever! STEER CLEAR! We traded in o...

WORST dealership ever! STEER CLEAR! We traded in our Kia Soul and they allowed us to drive off in a used f150 in May, it is now almost August and they still HAVE NOT financed us. We're almost 4 months with a truck that we pay insurance on, that we've had to ALREADY make repairs on, and we don't even own it. To make matters worse, they still have not paid our loan off for the Kia Soul we traded in. Due to their horrible business, our credit scores dropped 100 points and we are almost defaulting on the loan for the Kia that is not even in our possession. They've mailed us multiple contracts claiming we've finally been financed, however once we sign and submit the contracts, we receive rejection notices from the banks stating we were unable to be financed through them. They sent us a final letter stating we've finally been approved by PNC bank... After hearing the same story too many times, we pulled an up to the minute credit report and it shows almost 10 different inquiries from banks they've attempted to finance us through but ABSOLUTELY NO record of PNC bank ever pulling our credit. How is it that we've been financed through pnc if they haven't even pulled our credit? What they've done is "stolen" our down payment, taken a Kia Soul that's still in our name, have not even made the payments on the trade in or paid off our loan which caused our credit score drop 100 points and we are one missed payment away from defaulting on a loan for our Kia which is in Lindsay Fords possession. Please save yourselves.

UPDATE: so we finally went in to figure out what was going on, come to find out the SOLD out Kia back in May. What this dealership has done is completely ILLEGAL. They sold a car that they did not even pay the loan off on and the car was still in our name. We're still receiving late payments for two months when they apparently sold it back in May!!! And how the hell do they sell something that isn't in their name and when there was absolutely no cashable contract signed to work off of?? They took the truck back, sold our Kia and are sending us home with half of our down payment and a rental car. I'm sitting here reading all the one star reviews, which there definitely is more of than any positive reviews and they keep defending themselves saying this is not how Lindsay Ford does business. If this is not how you do business then why does everyone have similar contract issues?! This place needs to be reported, sued, and shut down. They are lying conning thieves and crooks that are out to **** you over for their profit. PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU TRUST LINDSAY FORD WITH YOUR MONEY AND YOUR POSSESSIONS! They are only out for themselves.

WORST DEALERSHIP EVER!!!! Talk about dishonesty. They have their cars listed with very low prices to lure you into their establishment. Then, they quote you a ridiculous amount stating that they have to add fees to the existing price. I saw a Ford Explorer listed online for $23,500 and was told that wasn't the price and that they had to add on an additional $2,000 in fees for certification of the vehicle. Customer service is SO poor and I was given the run around just trying to purchase a vehicle. Managers are very racist and disrespectful with zero regard to their customers. I provided all paperwork they required but they still insisted I use their computer to log into my bank account to pull my bank statements, obviously doubting my salary. Long story short, they called me a fraud and refused to sell a car to me. My next step is to report them to the better businees bureau.

The tech informed me if they determine that the damage was cause by a "rodent it would not be covered" and I would need to pay $250 for diagnosis. The one thing I didnt like was not having the online price honored but since the finance rep worked back in forth with us in getting us close to our budget we moved forward with the purchase. Horrible. Lindsay Ford in Wheaton was the worst experience I've ever had when purchasing a vehicle. The sales representative Randy did not admit his unfamiliarity with Mercedes vehicles. I purchased the vehicle under the assurance that the car had navigation. Randy assured me that it did, and seemed to be "confused" when an error message came on in the car. He text me the next day and said that a part was needed from Mercedes in order for the car to have navigation and that I would be responsible for paying for it. I spoke with Ghiani and Patrick (GM). Ghiani was very rude and dismissive. He told me that they would not cover the cost of the navigation and that I could return the car if I was not happy. Then Randy sent me another text asking what my ETA was in terms of returning the vehicle so that he could take his family to dinner. I returned the vehicle less than 48 hours after having it. They would not return my initial check and made me wait an entire week before giving me a refund. I will never do business with them again and neither should you. I guess only certain customers get special treatment.

With his help and patience we settled on a great price and drove off happy! Also, Paul in financing is the man! Felt like we were working with friends the entire transaction. Look - I know it is the nature of the beast in the new car world, but I simply hate the fact that internet pricing is never what they actually give you. Lindsay Ford isn't unique in adding all sorts of subsidies that you won't qualify for to their actual offered price. I hate this practice.

Beyond that, I actually was very happy with the deal we reached, and Cammeron, Sarah, and Portiene were all very reasonable to deal with.

We had a great experience! Bryce was super knowledgeable and helpful. Buying a car can be very stressful/intimidating, but they really make you comfortable here. We love our purchase and got a great deal on it! From the test drive to being in the finance office everyone was great and we were never pressured to make any decision.

I just got my new Certified 2017 Ford Escape SE fr...

I just got my new Certified 2017 Ford Escape SE from Lindsay Ford at Wheaton, MD!!! I came in looking to upgrade from my smaller SUV to a bigger car that I could grow into. I came in on Halloween Day and met the best sales advisor, Ronald Diaz, who choose to dress up for the occasion. He was very charismatic, knowledgeable, and easy to talk too in making my second car purchase. From there, we did a test drive close to closing time, and the staff at Lindsay Ford stayed open for us. Unfortunately, due to closing time, I was not able to get many offers from the finance department, since many banks/credit unions were closed. I left the dealer because I just needed to find a better finance deal. The next day, Ronald gave me a call to follow up with me on how he could make my experience better. Once available, Ronald gave me a call and asked me to come in, because he spoke with his finance manager, Keren Giron, to find a better offer. Keren was wonderful too, she made sure to talk to me in detail of the finance process. With Keren, I was able to get a better deal for me, that was closer to my budget. Once the paperwork was signed, Ronald ended my positive experience on an even better note. The all weather mats for my new vehicle was all out and I would have had to wait a couple days for it to be delivered to Lindsay Ford. He came running to me outside the building to deliver the package that contained the all weather mats that were on the floor case model. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to come to Lindsay Ford of Wheaton, Md to purchase their future cars with exceptional service from advisors like Ronald and Keren!

It's all downhill after the test-drive.

Everything up to that was pretty good, and if service had continued that way, I would have given at least 4 stars. But I went in explicitly stating that I am not going to make a purchase today, or even in the next week or so. The first salesman understood this, and was polite about it.

After the test drive, however, Ermias Kassaye came out, and started pressing hard for a sale TODAY. On a car whose MSRP is 21,680, he offered 3600 down-payment + trade-in (1960 minimum by KBB) + 457/month for 60 months. That's $33,000 for a $22,000 car. He then proceeded to spend the next 20 minutes trying to break me down, and eventually uttered the worst phrase in car sales: "What do I have to do to get you to buy that car today?" If you have to ask that question, you've already lost.

I would never buy a car from someone like that, and neither should you.

Happy with car and sales but not with finance. They asked to finance and I was ok but they were like to get rebate I have to finance 21000 when the car is 19000. Sales said minimum finance was 12000. Couldnt turn down waited two and half hour. Willl not go back again. Even I had best credit score they were charging very high apr. Felt like forced and robbed.

Good car buying experience. The salesman Sandy was friendly and helpful. Had car ready and waiting for a test drive when we arrived. Didn't feel pressured or rushed. Felt as though I got a decent deal at the end of the day. Would recommend Lindsay Ford to others looking for a place to buy a car.

Service at this place is absolutely at the bottom! So complicated and time consuming operations, that can be done in half time. They send you survey but only willing to accept good review. Any suggestions, they don't care about. Last time I brought my car to the service for an oil change, service advisor seemed lost/overwhelmed with work. Complicating way too much. At the end, they put it 6 quarts of oil (only requires 5. Service managers, of course, denies everything and anything). I had coupon and tire rotation is included, but has not been done. Again, service manager, denies everything. Last but not least, when "master" tech checked airfilter, he did not even bother to properly close the cover. Just slapped and closed the hood. I would give 0 for service. But the only thing I can do is just walk away and never use this facility again.

Horrible management. The worst customer service i have ever had. i took my car (mustang) for service and they refused to service my car because they were led to believe that i "misuse" my car. They found car event brochures inside my glove box and so they said they did not want to service it. Then the service manager said no, they were looking for a "nitrous bottle".So apparently its fine that they can search your car glove box and all. When i spoke to the service manager he said no that he would not service the car and that i could not leave the car there. He did not care if i made a complaint against him and this dealer. He gave me my car back still on limp mode knowing it would not drive past 25mph,knowing it had issues and they knew it had a nail in one tire and they didn't care to even take care of that. Also knowing that i had to travel on the highway to get home. He disregarded my safety and my vehicle. I have never been so disrespected and mistreated to the point where i have to write a bad review. I don't recommend this dealer to anyone. I will not be returning here.

To respond to your answer: You state "there are traits that indicate that my car is used for racing purposes" like what? Are you saying the stripes i added? the spoiler i added? the ford oil separator that ford sells? the reservoir tank from ford? it has original wheels and tires on and yet to have new brake pads installed. i'm pretty sure if i'm "racing" that i would need at least that.

Husband and I drove over an hour to come here for a certain model and it was worth it. We had a great experience purchasing our vehicle, everyone at Lindsay Ford was very friendly and professional. Sarah and Boye went above and beyond working with us and never made us feel pressured. Would recommend purchasing here and definitely ask for Boye, he was awesome.

One star is even too much credit. I found a solid Ford online listed at 14,800. I confirmed that price and secured financing from a third party. The rep was aware of that. I show up, go through the process and come to find out that the car is actually $2500 more than listed online (not even dealer fees and other normal charges) I made it clear I would not be financing and the rep left me waiting 20 minutes to go "talk" with the manager. I followed to explain I would not do anything more than the price that had been listed since before I wasted my time to drive up there. So I had to wait again for the rep to go "talk" with the manager again, and they somehow came back with a worse deal.

Long story short, expect to be disappointing. I am blown away they are still trying to use a 20th century method for selling cars just so they could lose what was supposed to be a done deal.

Great experience with Lindsay! After getting the run around at a few other area dealerships, we landed at Lindsay and it has been seamless since. They kept their word, negotiated fairly and have been wonderful about getting us up and running in the new car. Best car purchase experience I ve ever had.

I had visited another car dealer the day before to purchase a new truck. That dealership salesman was very arrogant & condesending to me & my wife. We called Lindsay Ford the next morning to schedule a time to meet. I relayed to my salesman exactly what had happened at the other dealership. Anthony Brearley meet with us & made sure all the expectations that were set on our phone call were met.

Was promised a discount on parts/accessories for leaving a positive review. Previously left a positive review (did get the car I wanted at the price I wanted) - but the dealer never followed up with the accessories I had requested while on-site. It's been almost a month and still no call back. Moved on and got my floor mats elsewhere.

Stellar experience so far. Been leasing a Focus for about 7 months now. Everyone in the dealership is really cool professional and friendly. Even when they are busy they make you feel noticed and taken care of. I'm still a little salty about not getting the $99 a month for this Focus as it was advertised (ended up doing $220 instead, yikes). My advice to the readers is fix your credit before cashing in on a car lease deal. I usually don't do reviews (especially positive ones) but I was asked nicely after getting great service today.
