Good Zoo! I couldn't see the lions due to remodeling.
The store has many souvenirs.

Beautiful! Lots of cool animals. Free wheelchair borrowing (in exchange for ID).
More signs for directions ,the park is clean, food is very expensive, some animals had been relocated due to updating their habitat
Free city zoo. Pretty worthwhile detour of you are on the lake shore path
Never been to a zoo quite like this one but it was incredible! For a free zoo I was worried the animals and the whole facility might not be taken care of properly but I was totally wrong. Everything was so clean and taken care of and it was actually pretty neat cause each animal exhibit had a little plaque stating who was the donater of that exhibit. Such a cool experience. Definitely want to go back!
Great for dates or family outtings. Always something new to see & enjoy.
If I had to pay to get in here, I would give it 3 stars, but it's free, and a great way to spend an afternoon.
Incredibly nice zoo, particularly given that it's free. They have several nice exhibits and a new baby rhino. Paid parking but was able to find free parking on the street.
Very nice experience, especially when you're in group, or want to bring your date with. It's free, but the special events cost money.
Great zoo. Only downside is parking is kinda pricey. Weekdays are definitely the time to visit. Definitely check out the conservatory.
This Zoo has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. Parking is a bit pricey @ $35, but admission to the zoo is free. You can visit all of the exhibits in less than 2 hours.
Like this place. My child with special needs only likes to ride the carousel. The parking costs me a weeks wages. .....geeeeeeeez. ease up on that please and give us poor people a break.
They always have something to see and do. Summertime, fall, or Christmas time. Huge plus, its free entrance!
Beautiful gardens, ponds, welcoming path that invite to just wonder and get lost in the small paradise
Wonderful Family atmosphere. Even as a young adult I thoroughly enjoyed the Zoo and all of its amenities. The zoo was clean and the educational materials were thorough and inviting. Would reccomend this for anyone looking for a fun and adventurous afternoon, .
Great looking park. Free admission but parking fee. Awesome place to take the family
Must see attraction is the city of Chicago. Public admission is free!
Beautiful zoo with nice sized enclosures and several indoor viewing areas that let us warm up. The Christmas lights made the whole thing magical
It was closed, reserved for two days so couldn't get in
Great stop for a great free family attraction in the city.
Well designed and free. Must see Park lush gardens in the summer. Primate exhibit is truly wonderful.
It s a free zoo with loving, dedicated caretakers. Doesn t get much better than that! The polar bear was a big hit with all ages.
It's a free zoo with a ton of animals and exhibits. What's not to love?
Great zoo. Awesome place to visit with the family. Parking is a bit pricey, so I would recommend getting there early and find street parking.
This is an amazing free zoo. Kids and adults will love it. Is right on the lake path, or easily accessible by bus. Zoo Lights around Christmas time are very nice.
This zoo is definitely in Lincoln Park, in case you were gonna ask
Great place to take the family. Free of charge but charge for parking unless you can find street parking. Animals are well taken care of and have good amount of space to roam considering. Gardens and zoo well maintained.
Very few animals and all indoor exhibits closed. Yet the gift shop is still open...?
Often too crowded with children but can be a truly delightful experience if you get a day without them. The animals seem well cared for if a bit overfed. The caretakers have some good basic information. The paths are wide and easily walked with a rough approximation of a guide through all the exhibits and only a little back tracking.
Nice zoo--not too big, but free admission and excellent exhibits
Couldn't see any of the animals except a couple of the big cats. The kids couldn't even get close to seeing any of the animals for all of the rude adults stepping in front of them. trying to get a stroller through there was a complete nightmare. Parking was horrendous. We drove over an hour to get there to see 2 animals and to turn around and go home after 20 minutes. "free" isn't always better.
Great zoo! Love that they open late sometimes and have adults only!
This is a free zoo that is absolutely beautiful. The have a huge variety of animals here, spaced out well. They even have some enclosures that are outside and inside so you can always see an animal. Perfect inexpensive place to bring kids. You get some great views of Chicago. You must pay for parking in the zoo area.
We go Everytime we have a chance but during November and December is great!
Great zoo lights event!!
Great kid friendly and adult events!!!
More people than animals
Excellent view!!!

Probably is winter time so can't manage to see all the animals in da zoo. Sad one.
The zoo is so fun. The walk ways are very large and accommodating to stroller and large amounts of people. It is great that there is not admission fee. There are a lot of animals, we were there for almost 2 hours and definitely need to go back to be able to see all the animals. The only draw back is there were no signs pointing to their parking lot, so we had to park in a different lot. I was considering paying for a membership to reduce parking costs but now won't since we couldn't find the lot.
Animal care and cleanliness of the zoo was far less than I expected :((
We went in summer time, could hardly see any animals.
I would surely visit again. Kids love it.
Cant get wrong with free entry
Some beautiful gardens! Not enough animals visible, food overpriced, parking way overpriced
Amazing zoo and kids will enjoy the interaction with the animals
Very peaceful and fun. Great for a casual stroll or date. Great places to eat in the zoo as well. And if you have kids, it will be a great idea to take them.
Such a wonderful facility and it s amazing that it s free!
It was so kool and it was free you can't beat that lol
Wonderful atmosphere, the new renovations and add on exhibits make it a great experience with only having to pay for parking, however the parking is a bit steep at $30. I hope this zoo continues to stay free for endless memories have been made at this beautiful zoo.
Update: parking is back at $20 which is huge!!!! The renovations are beautiful. HOWEVER, not one single bathroom at the zoo was clean. I'm not being dramatic some were so bad it was untouchable at any level which is so disappointing.
I love Lincoln Park Zoo. If you haven't been, you need to go!
An excellent place for some free fun. Not the best variety of exhibits but they're improving.
Got an injection moulded toy monkey from one of the exhibits for a dollar.
Free and great array of animals.
Was a beautiful day with my grandchildren ....food was way to expensive...but a great day!
I'm a fan of Lincoln Park Zoo but sometimes I feel a little depressed by the cahes they keep the cats in. Brook Field Zoo is way better but it's not free and it's 30 to 45 minutes away from Lincoln which is right smack in the middle of Chicago. But what more can you ask for from a zoo then FREE!!!
Nice zoo. Next time we will go during the week, because it was super busy when we went.
Wow Zoolights has really uped its game. What a breathtaking array of lights. Definitely going back next year.
Amazing zoo. Free to enter but $30 to park. Worth it. Huge place with so much to see. Clean. Big enclosures with lots of animal enrichment. We'll definitely go back.
We've been to Lincoln Park Zoo multiple times, it's easily the best zoo in the area, and the best part is, IT'S FREE EVERYDAY! I'm giving 3 stars because the last day we went was my Boyfriend's birthday, and we didn't realize it was also their spooky zoo event, we don't have kids, we just enjoy zoos ourself. The lines were extremely long which was fine, not their fault. But we waited in line for 45 mins to get to the reptile exhibit, because it's my Boyfriend's favorite, and once we got in we went around the candy line to look at the bats. We weren't in anyone's way, and we weren't causing a blockage, but one of the people giving out candy told us to get back in line. We don't have kids? We don't want your candy? We came to the ZOO to LOOK AT ANIMALS? so needless to say we drive 3 hrs to be treated like garbage.
I suggest checking the event list online before attending.
It's free admission- so don't expect much. It's always a fun activity to do on a nice day, just keep expectations low. If you want a great zoo- make a trip up to Brookfield zoo. LP zoo is still a good time- bring your own food and drinks in to save money
A great place for families. Huge free zoo and there always seems to be something special going on. The light festival in the winter is amazing and a must see if you live in or are visiting Chicago
A good zoo which is free and as a result it can be completely full of people. Good range of animals but the enclosures tend to be more like the traditional cages because of the climate which is a bit of a shame.
When I was in sixth grade I went there.such a great experience
Really great free zoo with a variety of unique animals and birds. Well maintained and focused on conservation. Definitely worth a visit.
