The Lincoln Park Zoo is a very cool place to go. Animals there are very interesting. There is no Fee to get into the Zoo. However, if you are parking there, it can get pricey. So get there early and look for local parking or use SPOT HERO to save the day.

What a great zoo for being free. Very knowledgeable staff and some are there as volunteers so they have a passion about teaching and explaining things regarding the zoo and animals. Scenery is amazing and much to see.
I went here to evangelize as part of a trip, and it was amazing. Not only where the animals cute but the people were also nice. I throughly enjoyed it there.
There are bigger zoos but I dont know of any other zoo with such a relaxed environment. Becuase there is no charge to get in you can come and go as you please and don't feel rushed. There are also many buildings which do a great job of simulating the animals natural habitats.
REALLY GREAT PLACE TO VISIT IN YOUR TRAVEL TO CHICAGO! It is free all days, so you do not pay for it. There are two seals shows every day and if you are lucky you can catch at least one of them. I strongly recommend here to visit!
Went with my childhood friend this past week and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves; a great way to spend an afternoon and get some cool pictures as well!
Maybe I am the weirdo? Did you guys see the animal that looks like a human but has a bunch of wires sticking out of it? I think these are Pokemon trainers but the zoo doesn't have them in cages. I reported them to the zookeeper and she laughed.
I came to the zoo to see animals, I saw augmented reality instead.
It's a good walk and well maintained for a free Zoo. Parking is a bit expensive but it makes up for the zoo being free. Since it's free, there aren't too many animals but none the less, it keeps people coming back.
FREE, FREE, FREE and worth $25 admission if it is worth a dime. Built on a small scale with every inch accounted for and used to capacity. See Lions, Zebras, Seals, Giraffes, Monkeys, Rhinos, and so much more. DON'T MISS THIS EXHIBIT.
Street parking can be an issue and the paid lot can be pricey, but a wonderful zoo to take the kids too. They had there light displays up which were great to look at
It was ok after looked in for almost one year the atmosphere seeing a lot of people and kids having fun socially 2day it was 70 degrees sunny and beautiful day but when it comes to the zoo it self it organized clean everybody is so nice but Rhee was no animals just one or 2 I think the could come with a way to keep every thing the way it was and just limit the number of guests and come up with a better plan but any way it was fun family day. Thank you.
Clean Very and Kid Friendly. I went on a Field trip with my Sons School...Some Exhibits weren't open but that didn't stop the fact that it was a Beautiful day and I suggest you go Early that way you can see the animals when they are active
Parking can be a struggle, but once you're inside you feel better about being there. Free admission, other items for you pay for. During the Christmas holiday, they have lights everywhere. It's so beautiful. The summertime is great too. Catching the animals out in their habitat is awesome. The pedal dove boats are so sweet. The grounds are quit clean and they have public bathrooms.
Fun for the whole family! And you can't beat the price of admission... Free! Great for a quick visit or a full day. Catch the shows and check out the children's zoo. Food is reasonably priced and delicious. Highly recommend adding this as a stop especially if you are from out of town.
I'll take you guys doing a very good job but you getting a good electrician Township realize it very bad because we hear a closer one Google all day long and just like Morton Grove as I could Never Ending Story it's a soap opera from General Hospital Hanley Grant Park
The Snow Leopard needs a new cage. He was obviously uncomfortable and overheated. The Puma seemed like it could use a bit more cover as well. It's a decent zoo for what it is.
Went a little late at night and weather was chilly so I didnt get to see many of the animals. Also very busy but its a big and free zoo so I still had plenty of fun.
Free zoo. Enough said. Actually, they have beautiful habitats and lots of free events - zoo lights being one of them. Great place for both adults (alone) and with children. Parking is a little tough to find in the street, but free. The animals are gorgeous. The park is gorgeous.
It's great that the Lincoln Park Zoo offers free admission and it's great for kids, but the overall feel of the place is honestly pretty sad. Most the animals don't look that happy and half of them haven't been out most the times I've been there. They do put on cool events every once and a while like adult night at the zoo or the Halloween event for kids, but think they still need a lot more money or a lot more space to make those animals happier.
One of the best zoos in the country. Also it's absolutely free admission, thank you Chicago. Tons of animal exhibits from gorillas to lions to bears, etc. Easily spend 5 to 6 hours here next to lake Michigan. Plenty of shade and indoor exhibits as well. Awesome carousel $3 per ride. Great gift shop and good court. Tons of play space, interactive experiences, and things to climb for kids.
Probably the best free attraction the city can offer. The habitats are on great shape and the animals look happy. Close to the lake and city amenities, wonderful day spent.
I took my 3-year-old on a hot Friday and we had fun. I knew going in that the big cats would not be there due to construction for their new home. Some of the animals were trying to stay cool in the shade but we got to see giraffes and monkeys so that was fun, as well as others. Will make another reservation to come check out more animals on a cooler day
Not a whole lot to see in the late Fall when things get cold. But it was a cool experience to see all of the Christmas decorations being put out. I appreciated that the zoo was free but they really get you on the parking fees!
Fairly good zoo for being free admission. Prepare for a large crowd, especially if there is any sort of special event going on in the area or at the zoo.
What a great zoo for being free!!! Please if you visit, make a donation to keep the zoo going! It's very big with lots of room on the paths for all to get through easily. Great variety of animals. Make sure you go before lunch as many of the animals seem to be taking afternoon naps after lunch.
We had a great day weather-wise, not too hot, so we took advantage of what the zoo and surrounding area had to offer. It's always fun to see the animals. We viewed the giraffes, penguins, rhinos (and saw a new baby as well). We did not get to see the lions, apparently, their habitat is being totally redone/updated so they were away at another zoo. Aside from the animals, it's always fun to do some people watching, and there are great views of the city as well. Our daughter took us on the wooden walkway, I think it lined art of a pond or lagoon, but on the bridge you can stop and see the city scape and get some great pictures as well.
We were there with friends to see the winter lights show. I think that it is, naturally, geared toward kids, but it is also an enjoyable way to spend time and talk with friends.
The zoo lights were great. Very crowded today, but it s to be expected. Parking is terrible. We used the garage for $20. The lights are spectacular. It s free with the exception of the light maze and Ferris wheel and refreshments. We saved money by buying our lights necklaces and light up toys from the dollar store before we headed there this year. We also bought in our own snacks as well. Enjoyed!!
I always love this zoo! There's interesting animals to see. I got to take my kiddo to feed the cows! He loved it and talked about it the rest of the day. It's a lovely walk around, you get to see so much! Lots of animals, lots of animal houses. Beautiful views of The Lake. Also, it's free to the public. As such, if you only have a little bit of time, or you have a lot of time, you get to see as much as you want. A great place for kids of all ages, too!
