Love the zoo! Free and in one of the best parts of the city.
Love the zoo! Free and in one of the best parts of the city.
Great place for exercise while looking at all the animals.
Nice place to entertain the kids and family with, plus its free!!
This zoo is absolutely amazing. It is 35 acres worth of animals to visit for free. If you are planning on visiting the zoo, you will need to reserve ticket for the day and time you plan on visiting. The information is all on the website. The reason why they are asking you to reserve a ticket is to ensure the safety of all visitors from COVID-19 by enforcing a limited amount of people being in the zoo. Currently all of the indoor exhibits are temporarily closed. Definitely bring your friends, family, spouse, anyone to the Lincoln park zoo because it is a beautiful place to visit, and it is 100% free.
I was lucky that the day I was, fair coming a storm was wet and I didn't see the animals in its maximum splendour but despite the great pass and I saw even a couple of animals 100% recommended the only ugly thing is that I saw the polar bear alone: (
Such a beautiful zoo and it's free admission. The zoo closes at 5pm and parking is free.
Animals were mostly inside or missing all together, was not impressed at all. Glad I didn't pay a penny to get in because that's about all it was worth walking around.
Love going to LPZ. First, it's free. Second, there is so much to see and do there. Especially for kids. My son loves going to the zoo and seeing all the animals.
Beautiful way to spend with my family grandchildren included
For first timers, its free admission with many entrances. Come early and get free street parking. Even in winter its a great place to spend a few hours. There are enough indoor exhibits to keep warm.
This is the best Chicago zoo hands down. People may tell you to go to Brookfield, but they're wrong. This zoo is free and you are able to see so many more animals without everything being so spread a part by gift shops and food courts. Plus, you can take a great city shot from the bridge. My favorite exhibit is the apes. It's indoors and they're always very active.
A free Zoo at the heart of a mega city! Animal collections are impressive. In holiday seasons, the night light glows will be mesmerizing at the Park. Some renovation works sometimes depressing. Must see the Gorillas, White Polar Bears, Rhinos, and more!
Amazing that it s free! Well maintained, beautiful location.
Very nice view if the city and the lake. The little babies were very cute as well.
Nice zoo, kids loved the children's zoo and climbing mazr
Nice free zoo in the park. Animals not super abundant, but great for a free urban zoo. The carousel is the shortest I've ever been on though, I think it goes around only 3 times or something.
The Zoo Lightes aee amazing. So much time went into the event. I loved the detail, the animals, the music. Plus you can walk the zoo at night and see animals. It does get extremely crowded especially on weekends. If you don't like crowds try going mid week.
If you like zoos, then yes, this is an awesome zoo.
Great. The bathrooms are vast and clean. No animals though - which is disappointing. Double-ply toilet paper really rounds off the experience. 4/5 stars, would come back for the latrines.
Really beautiful zoo that's free. I really enjoyed the exhibits and stuff.
This place is a blessing to society. "For wildlife. For all."
Family friendly and free! Can't beat the convenience either. Always have enjoyed time spent here. It's a lovely place to take a walk as well.
What's not to love? Great exhibits, free admission, decent food. Works for us.
Great display of Christmas lights! Lincoln Park Zoo has a beautiful and well organized atmosphere that is good for families and couples alike to visit.
This is one of very few free things that you can still do. We like being outdoors and walking around with the kids and we are great fans of the giraffes so we had a good time. Not all of the animals are out to see.
They're parking there of the ground but if you can find a good one so you can get in and out...
Great zoo for being free. The exibits and buildings were very nice
Everything was good except disappointing ause they don't turn on christmas lights till the next day after christmas a lot of.people like us were excited about the lights and just to walk around even if many things were closed and.many animals out to see .
Wonderful experience, family oriented, free but parking is $25 after 30 minutes. Worth while visit! Highly recommend!
Would def come back. Free admission, which is nice. Arrive early to get street parking or end up paying $25-$35 for parking. Lots of other events nearby across the zoo. Loved all the animals. A great place for kids/ family. Bring your own food. We did and saved lots of money. Bring water and stay hydrated on hot days. Huge zoo, def worth going next time I'm in Chicago.
My favorite Zoo to visit during summer, halloween and Christmas
Great zoo. amazing variety of animals with helpful guides standing throughout the park to help w any needs. I just wish they had more learning/interactive animal experiences. Great park overall.
I nice peaceful relaxing just some of the animals looks so sad to me i no they don't want to be kinda of heart breaking
Had a wonderful xmas lighting night out with kids. Very crowded but kids loved it.
One of the best free places in the city... Bring some sandwiches and bottled water and spend the day in awe.. LPZ never disappoints
It is a magical place. If you wanna visit it, you should review the public atention because it depends for seasons. There are a lot of animals to meet. And the best, it is free!
My kids love coming here. Though they're in the middle of construction there's still plenty to see. Parking can be tricky during busy hours but it's definitely worth it to walk through this zoo with the beautiful city in the background.
The zoo itself is pretty meh. But they do cool seasonal things Xmas lights etc.
Always nice to take a stroll here, especially in COVID times.
This was a very nice zoo considering it is free to get in.
Great little zoo, must do when in Chicago with littles
A nice city zoo! Love going there for the Halloween and holiday zoo lights!
Very nice place and attractive. I didn't have the chance to see all of it. I'm sure I'll go again
Always great to visit LPZ when in Chicago. Never disappointing!
Really enjoyable. Not crowded. Not all animals would come out but the ones that did seemed well kept and happy.
Today it was December 23 and they were putting lights all around the zoo. It was so fun! ( Sorry for my bad pictures for this.)
Great zoo, and although sometimes they close early for special events, the food is also good and moderately priced, the animals have the option to hide which is very kind to them, and the seals exhibit has some very cold underground viewing that takes the edge off of a hot Chicago day. Seriously, you can stand right in front of many cold air vents that is like standing in front of a portable air conditioner.
i litterally don t understand why the workers complain about dogs, there s more than 10 dogs on the ground and they do nothing about it.
Zoo lights was well organized and gets better every year
Flamingos were fresh, macaques were majestic- but be sure to leave by 4pm because they start closing gates and trapping you in. Rumour has it that any visitors who haven't escaped by 5 get fed to the hippos.
Went for zoo lights and a chimp showed me her swimsuit area in protest. Fight on, brave chimpess.
A great variety of animals, it was a nice place to go with my family, the all have a great day here!! Also it's totally worth it!
One of the best zoos I ve ever been to. Highly recommend
A free zoo! Go say hey to gorillas and chimps, but don't forget to pass through the reptile house. Zoo lights makes for a good winter evening with kids or a date. Listen to your conscience and make a donation while you're there.
This is the best free zoo I've ever been to. I think we've visited 7 times this year, the kids find it easy to navigate. Can't wait to go see it lot up with holiday lights!
One of my favorite places to visit in Chicago. Best place for family and kids. Best part is, its free.
Great day with the family. Animals were out and active. Not as many shows that day but we were only there for a short while. Great experience.
We love that the zoo is free, but parking is expensive. The layout of the zoo is very nice, and the kids are never disappointed when wanting to see their favorite animals up close.
Was disappointed, none of the animals were out. Because of covid-19 the buildings were closed.
I love this zoo, however on this day, it felt like all of the animals have been watching the news.
Great for families. Park is free, but parking is not. Still well worth it if you have a carload.
Amazing place for everyone from small children to adults...you get to see many different types of animals, birds ,reptiles from all over the globe...I enjoyed watching White Polar bear.
Still free. Still on a crazed spending spree. Replaced welcome center and fancy ornate gates on the east side of the zoo. Must be taking in too much cash in donations and parking fees ($30).
