This zoo is absolutely amazing. It is 35 acres worth of animals to visit for free. If you are planning on visiting the zoo, you will need to reserve ticket for the day and time you plan on visiting. The information is all on the website. The reason why they are asking you to reserve a ticket is to ensure the safety of all visitors from COVID-19 by enforcing a limited amount of people being in the zoo. Currently all of the indoor exhibits are temporarily closed. Definitely bring your friends, family, spouse, anyone to the Lincoln park zoo because it is a beautiful place to visit, and it is 100% free.

I was lucky that the day I was, fair coming a storm was wet and I didn't see the animals in its maximum splendour but despite the great pass and I saw even a couple of animals 100% recommended the only ugly thing is that I saw the polar bear alone: (

For first timers, its free admission with many entrances. Come early and get free street parking. Even in winter its a great place to spend a few hours. There are enough indoor exhibits to keep warm.

This is the best Chicago zoo hands down. People may tell you to go to Brookfield, but they're wrong. This zoo is free and you are able to see so many more animals without everything being so spread a part by gift shops and food courts. Plus, you can take a great city shot from the bridge. My favorite exhibit is the apes. It's indoors and they're always very active.

A free Zoo at the heart of a mega city! Animal collections are impressive. In holiday seasons, the night light glows will be mesmerizing at the Park. Some renovation works sometimes depressing. Must see the Gorillas, White Polar Bears, Rhinos, and more!

Nice free zoo in the park. Animals not super abundant, but great for a free urban zoo. The carousel is the shortest I've ever been on though, I think it goes around only 3 times or something.

The Zoo Lightes aee amazing. So much time went into the event. I loved the detail, the animals, the music. Plus you can walk the zoo at night and see animals. It does get extremely crowded especially on weekends. If you don't like crowds try going mid week.

Great. The bathrooms are vast and clean. No animals though - which is disappointing. Double-ply toilet paper really rounds off the experience. 4/5 stars, would come back for the latrines.

This is one of very few free things that you can still do. We like being outdoors and walking around with the kids and we are great fans of the giraffes so we had a good time. Not all of the animals are out to see.

Would def come back. Free admission, which is nice. Arrive early to get street parking or end up paying $25-$35 for parking. Lots of other events nearby across the zoo. Loved all the animals. A great place for kids/ family. Bring your own food. We did and saved lots of money. Bring water and stay hydrated on hot days. Huge zoo, def worth going next time I'm in Chicago.

It is a magical place. If you wanna visit it, you should review the public atention because it depends for seasons. There are a lot of animals to meet. And the best, it is free!

My kids love coming here. Though they're in the middle of construction there's still plenty to see. Parking can be tricky during busy hours but it's definitely worth it to walk through this zoo with the beautiful city in the background.

Great zoo, and although sometimes they close early for special events, the food is also good and moderately priced, the animals have the option to hide which is very kind to them, and the seals exhibit has some very cold underground viewing that takes the edge off of a hot Chicago day. Seriously, you can stand right in front of many cold air vents that is like standing in front of a portable air conditioner.

Flamingos were fresh, macaques were majestic- but be sure to leave by 4pm because they start closing gates and trapping you in. Rumour has it that any visitors who haven't escaped by 5 get fed to the hippos.

A free zoo! Go say hey to gorillas and chimps, but don't forget to pass through the reptile house. Zoo lights makes for a good winter evening with kids or a date. Listen to your conscience and make a donation while you're there.

Still free. Still on a crazed spending spree. Replaced welcome center and fancy ornate gates on the east side of the zoo. Must be taking in too much cash in donations and parking fees ($30).
