Beautiful quiet suite on Mackinac Island main drag. Great service and the large tub with Jacuzzi jets was great.

Great hotel. Mackinac island is worth more than a full day, must stay overnight. Shop, eat, walk, bike, horse carriage. History. Sites.

Great location if you are looking for a downtown experience, but I prefer staying off the beaten path a little!

The best hospitality on the island. The place is very clean colorful and best service placed in the middle of Main Street minutes to walk anywhere. Recommend it with all my heart.

Stopped in while visiting Mackinw Island. Found the Liac Tree to be clean and presentable. Staff friendly and inviting. Did not stay there during this visit however would consider during future visits.

Very pretty and nicely decorated. Really pricey for not being upgraded in a while. Microwave in room was so old it was yellow. Sleeper sofa not comfortable at all. Couch pillows were non-supportive. Trim lacked attention to detail. Exceptional view from the balcony down on Main St. Horrible vibration during the middle of the night from AC unit.

Amazing hotel and spa it's always such a joy to spend time here.

Spacious, clean, and well equipped rooms, friendly check in, relatively reasonable rates. Prime location by docks.

Just returned from staying at the Lilac Tree. Rooms are wonderful....very clean and nicely decorated. Staff extremely helpful and very friendly. Nightly turn down service was an unexpected perk....cookies delivered to your door. Definitely returning!

From what I could see outside as I walked by it was a really nice place.

We were amazed by this room. Two tvs and a living room, sinks are more than enough. Bed is comfortable. Very clean and cozy.

Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean and spacious, and staff are friendly and accommodating. It's charming, and in keeping with the style of the island.

This place was wonderful. The location was right on Main Street overlooking all the activities that was going on. At night if you are in your room they would come by with milk and cookies and if you weren't in your room your bed would be turned down and a little mint would be placed on your pillow. For the main Suites the mini fridge was complimentary. The suite we had was large enough for 6 adults and we loved it! The staff was so pleasant and kind. Beautiful place

Nice location, right downtown in all the action. Quiet nights as well. Sister hotel of Chippewa which has a lot more options.

Last year we had a room to the street side with a balcony this year booked too late liked last year's room better book sooner than later

The massage I received is the best massage I have ever had. I have never felt so loose and relaxed. The rooms in the inn are very clean and unique. The view of the lake and main Street were great from our balcony. They have a large space off the lobby that they store your stuff after check out so you can explore the island without worrying about your luggage. We went on a ghost tour during our stay and they said it was the only hotel they don't have ghost stories about so there is a plus too haha :)

Great location. Been a long time customer of the Lilac Tree. This year the rooms were in poor shape with peeling wallpaper, musty smelling bathroom , couch that sagged and made sounds every time you sat down, cracked tiles .. I was informed by hotel staff that it was due to Covid and inability to update and provide regular maintenance. I truly understand the challenges that must of caused , but the prices did not reflect that and was very pricey for the condition of the room and no housekeeping / room service . They did say some rooms had been updated - they should of given us one of those rooms . Very disappointed in this years stay .

The smell of this place is unbelievable! It's beautiful and so are the people working there.

Visited the island bookstore under the lilac tree hotel

So my family and I took a trip to Mackinac Island in December and it was so beautiful! We stayed in this hotel because during the winter it's the only hotel still open but it was still very clean and well kept. A nice family hotel. The staff were very welcoming and made you feel at home.

We visit Mackinac Island every summer. This was our first winter trip. The hotel was wonderful, and the staff were so nice. We will definitely make the trip again in the winter. When we do we will be staying at the Lilac. Thanks for making this a trip to cherish.

This was an overall exceptional stay in every way. Location is super, right on the main road downtown, and that made the balcony an especially favorite spot to hang out. Excellent staff, well-trained and very friendly. Nice rooms, no complaints on the price, if you choose to go here you understand that it will cost some bucks, but I believe totally worth it. I didn't get to try out the spa amenities this trip, so I'll save that for the next visit. No question, we'll be back.

Beautiful hotel...close to everything on the main street. Rooms are spacious and offer plenty of seating to visit with friends and family in the evenings. I would suggest getting a room with a street view versus an island view. We had an island view room and this is basically the back of a house or business behind the hotel. Ours was a view of a dumpster. See pic. Room had a mini fridge, sink, keurig, two flat screen tvs, couch with pull out bed, extra chairs and a table. The decor is old fashioned style very cottage cozy.

My wife had a pedicure that she says was outstanding.

This hotel is beautiful. Great staff, gorgeous rooms and a perfect location. The only downside is there is no pool. With a balcony on Main Street, a huge suite room and nightly snacks, who cares?
