Professor Franssen is amazing! Great instructor that truly cares for every one of her students. I have full confidence in referring everyone in to train with her. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Probably the nicest locker facilities of any lifetime. Yoga studios are great. Lots of free weights but more limited options for fitness machines. Pool is pretty small but is a standard length. Small running track around the inside of the fitness floor above the basketball courts

Gym needs to be open until at least midnight. This location is in the heart of downtown Minneapolis, yet it has the strictest hours. Most families that need to get to bed by 10 live in the suburbs. Many people who live downtown or nearby do not live a suburban life and want access to their local gym late at night, especially at $100/month. Please extend gym hours until midnight or 1:00AM.

Actually Open until 8pm on Sunday as of 4-19-15.

Has most amenities available at other gyms and tons of equipment and a nice variety as well. Staff is friendly and keep everything in good condition. it is a bit pricey but you can definitely get your money's worth from what they have to offer.

Thank you Katy! I thought my bag was stolen and was having a complete breakdown. She went through security footage frame by frame while other staff searched all the lockers. They found my bag! What a relief!!! Thank you.

Super great experience today, very professional staff, very courteous on check in, equipment in good working order, clean locker rooms. Great way to spend a layover, rather than being stuck at MSP airport I took the train, checked in, worked out, had a snack, worked on wifi, and boom, back to the airport! Would definitely recommend.

A truly comprehensive place for working out and all things wellness. If you live within 2.5 miles or so, they will even send a shuttle to and from your home M-F. They have yoga classes, spin classes, cardio classes, a swimming pool, a fully functional spa/salon, racquetball courts, and basketball courts among much more. The staff is very friendly. Rates can be pricey, but they do have a special rate for families and those under 27.

Long time member of this excellent gym but had to end my membership due to drastic cut in income flow (joined another lower-cost health club). Used the Target gym and St. Louis Park location often.
I'd be happy to rejoin if my situation improves.

Good facility, but I found it inconvenient enough (I don t like to routinely pay for parking) that I couldn t make a habit out of going.

I found a location in the suburbs close to work that has free parking, lets you rent lockers, has racquetball, and is far cheaper.

This is a very decent, renovated Life Time facility. There is a lot of cardio and lifting equipment, and the focus is on class exercise, so there are lots of rooms for spinning, boxing and other activities. I have never seen it too busy (apparently lunch time it the peak), so it works well for a morning or evening workout session.

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM, they will not let you cancel your account unless you write them a letter. No matter how much I have tried to tell them, and despite not having any written contract and terms of service, they have continued to ignore my requests to cease and desist. BUYER BEWARE

Beautiful space and a gym full of amenities. In my experience, it s kept clean and is a really nice place to work out. I really wish the hours were open until 11pm at night instead of 10pm (10pm closing means you can t really go after 9, which is kind of a bummer). But other than that it s fantastic.

Great gym with one fatal flaw - shady pricing policy.

1) Ordered PT session on the lifetime website for 75 LT bucks. At the gym, staff member announced that I actually have to pay $120. I asked why and did not get a coherent answer. After some talk, I did the session for $75. What was this $120 about? Nobody knows. And that happened 3 times.

2) I did Metabolic assessment for $99 right after I became a member. 6 month later, I wanted to repeat it. I went to the PT desk and they told me that I have to pay $249 for the second metabolic assessment. I clarified that I mean the most basic metabolic assessment that they did last time, NOT the advanced one. They told me, yes, to do basic metabolic assessment the second time costs $249. In the end I ordered it on the website and did it for $99. Did the PT desk try to scam me or something? What was that about?

3) And, finally, the situation that made me thinking of cancelling my membership and looking into other gyms. My girlfriend was interested in becoming a member. We live together and have the same mailing address. I though I could just add her to my account for extra pay. Nope. Two issues emerged. One - I have to have a mortgage with my girlfriend in order to get her on my account. Every gym in the US looks at mailing address only, what makes you so special, lifetime? And the second issue - the price for us having a joined account was $169. If we join separately it will be $75 each or $150. The sales manager told me following: "Yeah, you better have separate accounts, it is cheaper." Maybe Lifetime is not aware, but the whole point of joined account is to SAVE MONEY ON MEMBERSHIP COST. Your price of joined account might make some sense in your weird corporate environment, but from the consumer side it makes absolutely no sense at all.

It is really too bad. The gym is great. But I'm sick of its pricing policy and constant attempts of staff to scam me on extra services. I think my girlfriend and I will join another gym not far from Lifetime when they finish renovating it.

Looks like I was right in the beginning and Lifetime is for people who does not count money after all.

P.S. Finally canceled my membership. So, what was the straw that broke camel's back? My birthday present. I turned 27. They gave me a free PT session, which was nice. What else... Oh! 30% hike in my membership cost! Yup, that is right. I paid $81, and for my birthday I got charged $107. Now, isn't that a neat present? That was my new rate! Bottom line - you you make less than $120,000 - it is not a place for you. It is a great gym if you can get past the cost. If not - there are other gyms literally blocks away with same amenities and for half a price.

This is the best Life Time of the half a dozen or so that I have visited (in MN). Everyone is extremely friendly. The facility is clean and well maintained. It is definitely worth the cost.

Laughed at me on the phone and then triple billed my account. Had to file a dispute with my bank.

Typical gym cancelation process it sounds like from other reviews.

Asked me to send my bank statements over unencrypted email.

Purchased a day pass to this club while visiting the city for a weekend. This gym was awesome and so well kept. I really enjoyed the layout, the variety of equipment, and the friendliness of the staff. My day pass experience ha shade me consider getting a full membership back home due to this great experience.

While the club was clean, I was VERY dissatisfied with the "Womens executive Locker Room". The locker room is not separate from the main womens locker room at all. The men have a separate entrance, but the women are all in one room. The locker room is a maze and you get to the "executive area" you need to go to the back. Made me glad that this isnt my norm ar l gym. If it were, I would NOT pay the extra.

Best customer service I've ever had at a gym and I've belonged to quite a few. Wouldn't trade my membership for another gym great classes and had excellent luck with personal trainers as well. No it's not the most affordable but you do certainly get what you pay for when you come here.

In addition to this club being one of the most expensive in the area, the parking situation will run you an average of $6 per visit, so factor that in to your budget. If you go to the gym 4 x week that equals an additional $96 per month.

The hours are pretty clearly designed to accommodate only people who work 9-5 downtown.

The final straw was when this location opened post Covid-19 and I was never informed. I found out my gym was open again by seeing the charge on my credit card statement. Full price for only partial use of the club.

I had to call and email several times to even get someone to respond to me and was told there was "nothing they could do to reverse that charge."

Obviously, I cancelled.

Fine place to workout, has all the equipment you need and more but is often dirty and not well maintained (hair on equipment, dustballs on floors, etc.) Also as noted in several other reviews the pricing policies are shady and unethical:
1. Prices go up every year but the services included go down. Specific examples: a. Lockers used to be free, now you pay extra to use an overnight locker. b. Classes used to be free, now majority are paid classes.
2. Cost of additional classes (i.e. Bootcamp, Alpha/Xfit) is more than joining a standalone Xfit box.
3. I was out of the country for an extended period so was told I could put my membership 'on hold' and easily reactivate it automatically upon my return. I returned this week and was stopped and harassed three times, finally was told I had to meet with a Membership Specialist to re-sign paperwork and get my membership re-activated.

It's terribly disappointing when a company claiming to support "wellness" is actually a greed-driven corporation with no values.

Gym is great but service not so much. The staff is only as helpful when you reach out to them. But when it comes to being overcharged, account set off hold and not knowing about it, they won t help out with that. I got charged for 2 months off my maternity leave when I wasn t supposed to but they didn t do anything about it. They didn t even tell me they unfroze my account! I give 3 stars because of the gym and a lot of the staff is still friendly and helpful to their extent but not the ones who are working on commission.

Super disappointed that they dont offer a women s exec locker room, but they have a mens. Staff doesn t seem interested in providing information on why this double standard is acceptable. My wife and i would come to this location otherwise.

A spacious gym that has dramatically improved by leaps and bounds with recent renovations and new equipment. Yet it still keeps operating hours for a downtown that existed 20 years ago and not today. There's more people living in the downtown, that number will only increase over time and it would be great if the gym stayed open to midnight during weekdays and 11pm during weekends so that busy professionals don't have to drive out to St Louis Park to get in a later workout.
