I checked myself into the detox and it wasn't bad at all in there. Seeing some of these reviews had me worried. Staff was great. It was also very clean back there.

Wonderful employer, great benefits, even better coworkers!
My experience here was mostly bad. I was bakeracted after my miscarriage and the night staff were some of the most terrifying people I have ever met and I m shocked they have their licenses still. I m a travel nurse and understand the ropes of nursing. I witnessed a nurse pushing a patient away from the nurses station. (What happened to hands off facility? Thats abuse.) The night CNAs instigated fights with the patients yelling at them, calling them crazy, threatening to take their food away, refusing to check a blood pressure of someone feeling unwell, etc. it was traumatizing to see how some of these nurses and CNAs behaved. Treating people like roadkill. I stayed quiet and just observed. The day CNAs and nurse were heaven sent. They opened up a room for me to grieve and not be agitated. They checked on me often and sat with me when I needed them. There was one specifically from the children s unit who came and talked with me for quite some time. Gosh I wish I remembered her name, but I will remember her face and spirit forever. She truly gave me hope and courage to fight my depression. Her along with nurse Amanda, and those day time CNAs who sought me out and talked me through the worst of it, I will cherish you all forever and use it as a reminder of compassion in my work. I can t thank you enough.
My husband was having a mental episode and was baker acted by police in lake county and taken here. Not 48 hours later he was released in a delusional psychotic state of mind. They did not give him his regular meds even tho I called and talked to a recovery specialist they gave him something he told them he had taken before and didn t work for him...You cannot talk to a patients Dr treating them..at least I couldn t.. and they made no attempt to contact his regular psychiatrist. His nurse tech even told me this is not the place for serious mental help..hell this is not the place for any kind of mental help obviously.
I am truly grateful for LifeSteam. They cared for me when my own family was the ones to hurt me. Thank you LifeStream.
I attempted a long time ago and went willing and didn t even want to stay i could hear people yelling in the ward where the admissions were I eventually just flat out said i was fine so I wouldn t get put in there it sounds bad but trust me it was for my own health i opted to just go see a Psychiatrist instead and got diagnosed with depression and anxiety then was given medicine that eventually I just kinda gave up on because I just couldn t force myself to take something i knew was just a temporary fix for a forever issue so maybe find elsewhere to get mental health care because this place isn t it
I recently spent 3 days there. I honestly don't think this place helped me at all. Only thing they done was keep me doped up. The charge nurses were rude. The techs were more professional than the nurses. No therapy was given just pills to keep the patients calm.
Do not go to this place. I was admitted to this facility 12 years ago, and I still suffer with PTSD from the way I was treated. They are abusive, and they seriously treat people worse than anything I have ever seen. Dr. Valente was the main doctor at the time, and he needs to have his medical license revoked. All the staff there need to be thrown in jail and treated the way they treat their patients. I pray karma serves all these people well.
Staff was very nice and the rooms in the back were very clean. Sitting in the waiting room had me kinda nervous because it's a little dirty but once I got in the back it wasn't like that. Just wish their was more stuff to do while you were there. Lot of sitting around watching tv to pass the time.
If you need help this one but you one that is a hospital to help you not to serve but of the help I gotten in others is one thing treat patients with respect and get help
