Lifes kitchen's goal is to give at risk youth a second chance to better their future. I was part of their four month culinary program and to any who are thinking about doing so, i highly recommend it. I made a lifetime connection with lifes kitchen and will continue to support them for as long as possible

Life's Kitchen is more than just a great restaurant. The fact that this place helps give independence and a path for young adults looking to get their GED and start the rough path to adulthood is such a vital help to our community. The food and service here is wonderful, and everyone is so friendly. This restaurant is a great place to get more than just lunch, but a place where you know you being there has helped make a real difference in someone else's life. I can't recommend this place as a restaurant and an all around amazing organization enough.

They're open for lunch only, and the food is delicious. If you're a BSU student it's only $5.00, otherwise $8-9 depending on what u order. Menu had maybe 8 items when I was there last week. High end fair that's very nicely prepared. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Culinary students work the kitchen, and the front too for the most part. Decor was clean simple bistro style. Perfect place to have lunch, or take it to go. I didn't call ahead, so I did wait 10-15min. for my food. Worth the wait for sure.

What the Life's Kitchen organization is doing for ...

What the Life's Kitchen organization is doing for young people who have had challenges in their lives makes this my favorite place to go for lunch. I love to support their program. The food tastes good and is a reasonable price. The menu has some simple comfort food, and some classics with a twist. Vegetarian options are available.
Parking is difficult here. It is best to plan on parking a ways away and walking on the Greenbelt, or taking the free Boise State shuttle. They are only open Tuesday through Friday for lunch.

Good food. More importantly it fills a much needed alternative for job readiness for the youth.
Worthy of support and also an inexpensive, delicious lunch menu.
We had our staff Christmas party there. This was our 3rd year. Great service. Quick, and all the orders were right.

So if you want some good food and know that you are helping out the local community at the same time. Visit this place, dine on food that the next place these people serve you will be probably double and give these youth a chance to show you what a community that cares about their success can provide. I'm a fan, have been for awhile and had a free moment to spend this week and see the good work Life's Kitchen continues to do for the Boise community.

We organized a special meal for 8 at their dining room last week. The setting was lovely, the food was beyond expectations (!) and the pace was luxurious! We couldn't have hoped for more. And our guests couldn't have been more impressed! I know they do nice lunch, but the catering was really impressive!
