Dear Will and Staff,

Dear Will and Staff,
My greatest gratitude for taking such good care of Marc during this pandemic and making FaceTime possible. They let me talk to my love as much as possible. Thank you Niki and God bless you for the FaceTime and helping get daily visitations with Marc is fabulous.
With all my love and gratitude.
God bless all of you in this time!

This review was posted on middle of October and updated November 1. First of all, nurses seem to disregard call lights, Majority of the nurses are Inconsiderate and do not care, I'm speaking for the Harborside Division. I'm observing what I see while I visited.

Gruesome and poor care in my opinion. Majority of people are here to do their work and get out. Nothing more, call lights are seldomly answered, taking 3 hours from what I heard when my father called. The atmosphere is depressing as the nurses seem expressionless and dissatisfied with their work. The facility when you enter is amazing and beautiful, when you get into the rooms is outdated, some air conditioner units are updated, some are not.

The compassion for their work is non-existent and the dining area is fancy. However service is incredibly lacking, the employees are their for only the money it seems, they do not really try to serve people with care.

Physical therapists are great and kind from what I know and heard, that is a great plus. Kind and friendly to their patients.

Food is subpar but nothing was really expected from a rehabilitation place.

Some receptionists are nice, overall it seems there isnt a quality manager for the place. The downgrade of service is apparent when you enter the harborside division. I do not speak for the bayside division as we were not located there.il

Poor communication , and safety precautions! My father went into this facility COVID-19 negative AND exited COVID-19 positive exposing my family! PLEASE be aware! Check on your loved ones! Demand residents to be tested along with the staff!

Our mom has been at Life Care for many years now. The staff is attentive. The place is clean! We live out of town so always appreciate the staff's ability to take the time to help our mom do a facetime visit. Thank you Life Care Center. Congrats on your Five Star rating. You deserve it.

My mom was at Life Care Center of Palm Bay last year and again this year for residential rehab after her hospital stay. The staff was extremely helpful and dedicated to their residents. The facility is well maintained and clean. Hopefully my mom won't need rehab in the future; but if she does I will use LCC of PB again.

Aside from nice surroundings, good PTs/OTs and pretty good food, this place is not even close to satisfactory. During my mother's stay she had issues with the phone and her meds. When I complained to Jason, ADON, I was given a long explanation about these issues. When I interrupted his lengthy explanation, I was told that I was being "confrontational". WOW - real professional!! To compound things, after complaining, my mother was given a series of cognitive "tests" without explanation. Also, they do not answer call bells in a timely manner (my mother was left on a bedpan for 1/2 hour!!). I guess they don't believe in management pitching in.

Will and most of the staff were very nice and helpful when it came to getting a Covid test or making a visitation appointment. However, it was like pulling teeth to get information about dad. Dad was recently released to come home. He was brought by wheelchair in the life care van. He was about half way off the chair when the van door opened. I asked why he wasn t belted in and was told the wheel chair didn t have a seatbelt. When the driver put the chair on the lift it tipped. If family had not been there to catch him the 94 year old would have been on the ground. Also, dad came home without the DNR, without his clothes...except fir 2 shirts and slippers. He also was sent home without any paperwork.so we still don t know about his therapy or anything else. When asked about his arm dad said he fell...family wasn t notified if that happened. We re less than pleased with the facility! The family should always be informed since it s difficult to visit due to COVID issues.

My husband was in Life Care Center last year. The staff were wonderful. The facility is lovely and well maintained. When released he went back a few times a week for physical therapy. If he ever needs rehab again Life Care Center would be our first choice.
