African Pride Irene Country Lodge Review

It is a beautiful place. The staff, the facilities and food are all amazing. The gardens and the lake are super refreshing! Loved it.

Great hotel, although this is a luxury hotel, it is due for a renovation as the furniture in the rooms feels dated. This is a personal preference coming from a person who prefers modern and contemporary design cues. Service and amenities are excellent. It s a great spot to unwind without leaving the city, you will feel detached from the city once on the property.

Lovely place with friendly staff at reception. Makes you feel welcome and very excited to be here. LOVE the view from my room.

My family and I came to Irene country lodge and I must say this has been a world class service, I have never been in a place where all the staff from receptionist to the restaurant that treated us with the same respect, the same energy, I am astonished , let s just say Irene country lodge will be seeing my family and I and I will definitely recommend them to family and friends, and I want to say thank you to Mr Sean for just being amazing and going out his way to assist us. The food was amazing. Keep up the good work

We stayed at Irene Country Lodge for only one night during a road trip up North, and it was well worth it.

The rooms are huge, with a nice outside patio, bed was comfortable, and they even provided foam pillows on request. We also ordered room service, which was efficient, with good food and the wine selection was not bad either.

One minor issue is that I wanted a spa massage on the evening of our arrival, but even though the online booking system showed availability, the Spa told me there was none when I called.

We will definitely stay there again, as it feels like you're not even in Joburg!

I enjoyed my stay. Staff are so friendly and accommodative, doing everything to make you feel special.

Stunning location, stunning rooms, the place is just so calming, it's a really great place to go to if you want to get away from the city but you don't want to drive too far. I usually don't repeat stays, this will be the exception, I'm definitely visiting again, this time for longer.
I'd suggest dinning out, the in-house restaurant is just okay, limited menu options, not for foodies.

I have never had such an unbelievable experience at a venue

The best part about this venue is that everyone is willing to help you - they approach you before you even have to go look for a staff member.
