Guided tour to do at all costs.
Attention: there are people and places (available at the Tourist Office) leave very quickly!
Must visit place when you are in Ottawa
Glad to see the best light show ever at parliament of Canada
The guide we had in the central block was terrible due to her rude behavior, and it made the whole tour pretty disappointing. She didn't seem to like to have any kids in her tour group because she frequently told those who had babies not to disturb her, which offended my eye. On the other hand, the guide we had in the East block was super kind. And for the sound and light show, no other show is as fantastic as the one on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. It was the best show ever!
Always a good tour. When I was a camp counsellor, a few of us brought a group of kids and booked a private tour. We found out things you don't normally find out since they changed it for the kids. The kids LOVED it! I wish I had the name of the person who brought us around. She did a great job.
Great place to visit. Especially for the night light show on the history of Canada. Really gives an idea of the many events that have shaped the country.
I received a tour of the Senate Chambers, library, and Peace Tower, and it gave me a deeper appreciation for our country and its rich history. It's easy to be critical of the politics, but seeing the different parts really puts into perspective the humanity behind each person and representative that occupies Parliament. I would recommend doing some reading and research beforehand to gain a better appreciation of all the intricate details of Parliament.
Was to bad it's under renovations. Would have loved to have a tour
It was a nice experience for me to go there for a visit. The place is really beautiful. It resembles the whole Canada. It is a prestigious place for the politicians. It's worth visiting there. I would highly recommend everyone to go in there & take a look how beautiful the place is.
Parliament was terrific! My wife and I visited in July of 2016 and we took appreciation to all the history. We were able to watch the Changing of the Guard ceremony and that is something cool to experience. At the time, there was a lot of construction going on, so it didn't help the turnout of our pictures. It was still great to visit and recommend everyone see it at least once!
The tour to the Parliament was just awesome! Everybody is kind and helpfull and being inside this important building is an honour.
It is a government agency. It is located on Parliament Hill in the country's capital, Ottawa. Its construction dates from 1859. Wellington St, Ottawa, ON K1A 0A9, Canada.
This is a fantastic place to visit and the building is a remarkable venue. We did a tour in French as the English tours had sold out which was disappointing. Make sure you get there early to get an English tour as they run equal amounts of both.
It was the best tour we did in Ottawa, the guided tour is very good, the guide commented that we were privileged because soon the parliament would be closed for renovations, so they were moving and many areas had been removed. The tour is free and brought lots of history and culture information, very cool. The library was simply stunning with several details. Above you have a panoramic view of the city.
This is where they decide which direction to shovel all the enormous amount of tax money they squeeze from the country. It's ok though because they always spend it wisely.
Nice place to discover history of Canada! friendly staff !
Really nice place to visit. The tours are free, however you must get the tickets at 90 Wellington Street (across from Parliament Hill).
It was amazing Experience. Enjoyed lot . One of guider give whole information about parliament. It's so huge & beautiful. Near parliament there are lots of heritage buildings. Lots of people visiting this place each & everyday . I felt like i was in kingdom or castle.
