The "purists" do not like it: too generalist, selling also something other than books etc. I find on the contrary that it is well supplied, the sellers of good advice and that it is very practical to be able to also find toys in the same space.

Pretty cool as a place but the prices are not always displayed and I paid 45 for a book advertised at 39 on the website and which costs indeed 39 elsewhere. As I was in a hurry I did not insist and left with the book anyway but it is not a correct business practice. In other circumstances I would have left without anything.

Very pleasant bookshop. Lots of choices in books and magazines, expert advice, qualified and passionate staff. Presentation of new books by their authors followed by Q / A. Interesting. You can also take a coffee or tea break or have a bite to eat. Cool ! Very good address.

Book lover? One of the ESSENTIAL bookshops in Brussels. Lightly off-center but close to the metro! We don't hesitate. In addition many events and literary meetings are organized there (you can have a tea and eat a bite). Staff always friendly despite the abundance of customers (significant detail :-))

Staff wanted to search / keep my bag when I entered. Maybe they thought I was smuggling books in? If this is what you get for trying to support a local business that's ok... I've found the book I wanted to buy in the local library anyway, so thanks Filigranes for saving me money...

Would not it be the Christmas market atmosphere for bobos iphonomanes, the rigidity of the admission rules of the bags (yes to the maximum satchel of madame, not to the mini backpack of gentleman), the susceptibility of some sellers in need of Spiritual communion and the sufficiency of the boss, Filigranes would be almost the ideal bookstore, with its many references, its extended schedules and its atmospheric pianist of the Sunday (totally ignored of the disdainful fauna mentioned above, as one might expect). In the meantime, this place reminds me that perfection is not of this world and I am grateful for this lesson of humility.

I only set foot there for 10 minutes and I immediately felt that I was in THE bookstore to find the book (s) I need. If at first you are a little lost in the aisles, the employees will be happy to help you and will know directly which book you are looking for.

top bookshop for French books, huge range, but far too few Dutch books .. used to be a nicer place than now, lost much of its charm; no corona measures (except smelly gel when entering), there was a lot of people last Sunday, way too much for the small hallways between the books and stuff. Has Filigranes peaked? hope not ..

Stop Amazon

Stop Amazon
Going to Filigranes is an experience in itself.
You are welcomed on arrival.
You are constantly advised by passionate people and really at your service.
You can eat or just drink.
The tables outside since this summer, a very good idea.
So, move and stop the Amazon orders ....
