Have been a patient for a year now and enjoyed this place before but I'm going on a month of trying to schedule an appointment. Have called multiple times (I call everyday at this point) and can't get through to a human. I have also filled out the online app request form 5 times with 0 response. I've never experienced anything like this... Has anyone else had this issue? Are they going out of business or something? I cant fathom they're dropping the ball this often.

I've been a patient of Dr. Owen since 2002. He delivered my son, and has taken great care of me since then. He is very thorough and takes the time to answer all of the questions that I have. He is easy going, so and makes the embarrassing questions not so bad. The staff is very pleasant and professional. I have referred Lex ObGyn & Dr. Owen to many of my friends.
I've seen Dr. Karen Schell for 3 years and she has always been very professional and kind. The staff at Lexington OBGYN Associates has also always been very kind and professional. There new office is very large and comfortable.
I have nothing but positive things to say about Lexington OBGYN. I recently just started seeing Dr. Adkins. The nurses and he have went above and beyond my expectations to provide me with the best care.
Lexington OB-GYN seems to be extremely disorganized. While they have a nice waiting room and the doctor's are average they are never on-time. The two times I have scheduled appointments they have been late. The last appointment I had with the practice they were two hours late for the appointment and then I ended up seeing a nurse practitioner and not a Dr. While waiting, I did not receive any updates as to when I would be seen besides I was next in line. People schedule appointments for a reason. I would go to a minute clinic or prompt care facility if I wanted to sit in a waiting room all day and not see a doctor. Overall I would not recommend this facility or Dr. Karen Schell or Dr. Tracey O Carbajal. Unfortunately it is one of the few in the area that is an obgyn.
Always have a super long wait, the staff doesn't seem very concerned either, it's my first pregnancy and a lot of the times I feel like the concerns I express are not cared about I understand that they may be normal but as a first time mom I need reassurances.
If I hadn t been waiting for an appointment for weeks and could wait to find another doctor, I would have walked out of here already. The over booking and waiting an endless amount of time is beyond ridiculous. I m in here once, maybe twice a year, and more than not, I ve had to wait. I ll be finding another doctor to visit after this appointment.
Dr Parrot is the best! Ive met almost all the drs while pregnant with my first child and he is by far the most personable and easy going. Soon as our daughter was born he grabbed a phone and took our picture because no one else was in the room. Highly recommend. 4 stars due to long wait times but overall a great office.
Consistently waiting for over 1.5 hours to see the doctor every visit, staff is always confused on if you ve peed or had your BP taken so they clearly don t care about your well being and they never relay questions or concerns to appropriate personnel. You re just a number and a paycheck for these offices, stay away.
Every time I ve came to this clinic I ve waited almost an hour in the waiting room and then an hour or mom in the patient room before I ever see a doctor. 2 hours past my appt time is ridiculous.
First of all, I am sorry for waiting a week to write this review, Dr Ashmun. You were wonderful and deserved to have this review posted immediately. When I arrived at Dr Ashmun's office, I was on the verge of an anxiety attack that did manifest during my appointment as uncontrollable crying. Dr Ashmun and her staff handled it with flying colors. I explained the source of my anxiety (as best I could in the throes of an anxiety attack), and she was very understanding, empathetic, and helpful. She worked hard to put me at ease and at no point made me feel like less of a person either due to my anxiety, its cause, or my history. I have had repeated bad experiences with doctors in this area in the past, and Dr Ashmun went a long way towards lessening that and helping me start the process of once again feeling safe with healthcare providers in Kentucky. She is an excellent OB/GYN to go to if you are like me and have serious medical problems, bad past experiences, and/or a questionable past that you have worked hard to come back from. She will give you the opportunity to show willingness and to show that you are not the person you used to be. There are a lot of us in the area who honestly and truly are making new lives from fresh starts who need doctors like Dr Ashmun. Don't abuse this recommendation--or Dr Ashmun--if you aren't one of us, please.
Lexington OBGYN Associates is a warm and welcoming practice. I had high blood pressure throughout my pregnancy and they took every precaution. The physician spoke to me at length about my questions and concerns each visit. Nurses readily returned all my phone calls within a very short time. The front desk staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful. My experience in labor and delivery was wonderful. The nurses were encouraging and kind. My delivery was quick and easy. I recommend this practice to all women.
I recently transferred care to Lexington OB-GYN and I had a wonderful experience. The staff was helpful and friendly and Dr. Wells was very professional and down to earth. I m glad I chose this practice.
I'm a transfer from another clinic and not impressed. I've been waiting over an hour to be seen when my appointment was at 11:20 and it's 12:20 and still have not been called back, but everyone else in the office has been. NOT HAPPY.
Always had a wonderful experience. Whether it be for yearly exams or during my first pregnancy. I have seen all of the NPs as well and they have all been wonderful!
I m going to preface this with the fact that Dr. Ashmun and her APRN Tiffany are awesome! Don t have a single complaint against them and are honestly the reason they are getting such a high rating. Because, man, their office staff are not the greatest.
Imagine calling in a refill of your RX on a Monday. Pharmacy states you are out of refills, they will fax the office for more (even though you went for your yearly 2 months prior and refills should have *definitely* been sent in then!!). Tuesday goes, Wednesday goes so you call the office during your lunch break. They are adamant they sent it, so CLEARLY it s pharmacy s fault. Thursday comes (still without a refill) so you send a kind refill message through the patient portal. Friday comes and still no refill. Being the hard worker you are (and spending ~17 of your 30 minute lunch break in conversation with your pharmacy), you try calling the office again when you get off work *a few minutes early* at 4:53 (because everywhere online states the office is open until 5:30) and it going straight to the emergency after-hours line. 37 minutes BEFORE the office is closed!! How unprofessional is that? After-hours doesn t begin until AFTER the office is closed. Or update your advertised business hours. And one week s notice is not enough in advance for a prescription refill ladies!!! Even when they should have originally been sent in months previously.
Lexington OB/GYN has been nothing but wonderful for the duration of my pregnancy! From the time I walk in to the time I leave, I feel like the employees really care about my health and the health of my baby. The front desk is always pleasant and happy to answer any questions I have about my visit, and I have never experienced a long wait time for my appointment. At other offices I have had to wait up to 2.5 hours and that has never happened here! Most importantly, I feel comfortable with the nurses and clinicians I have interacted with. This is my first pregnancy and I have a lot of questions, along with a few unusual symptoms, and the employees never make me feel like my concerns are stupid or invalid. Furthermore, I always get a quick call back when I need to speak to a nurse over the phone, despite the office being busy. All in all, I am so glad I chose Lexington OB/GYN for my care, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to be treated like more than just a number on a chart.
I am currently waiting in the car for My wife to return for probably the 5th time in the past couple weeks. We always have an appointment, we are always here early. Why is it that every single time we are here she is waiting in the waiting room for well over an hour before being called back? Why is it that once she is called back and put in a room that it s another hour before a doctor ever sees her? This isn t a review reflecting the doctors and the treatments received but to whomever is doing the scheduling, for the love of God you are terrible. Spread apart the appointments more, make less appointments in the day, hire more staff, do whatever you have to do to make this system better. Why have an appointment if you have to wait for two hours??? Why not schedule our appointment 2 hours later?? It s a pretty simple concept. I m a business owner and I would never do this to my clients because I know I would lose them in the exact same fashion you have lost my wife and I as clients. We will complete the medical treatments we have started here but you can guarantee that we will never be back again. There are like 6 OBGYNs on the same floor as you all that I m sure are more courteous and respectful of others time. DO BETTER!!!!
She is the BEST!!! ALL THE STAFF IS AMAZING!!!! She worked with me to find the right bc and she is so nice and understanding and the staff where do i begin there so nice and funny and really wanna help you ! This is the best place ever!!!
From my experience the attention to personalized care is worth the wait! My doctor has delivered me both times so I never mind to wait when they communicate to me he is at a delivery. I love nurse Robin and being able to call the phone nurse anytime was of great help during my pregnancy.
I m a patient with Dr.Schell and I absolutely love her attention and care! I love being a patient at this office they really do an excellent job. I chose this office for my third pregnancy after a positive experience with my 2nd.
Decent service.. Except every single time I am here.. I wait 50 minutes to an hour and a half in the waiting room and then another half hour in the exam room. It's nuts! Plus they told.me they were going to do a pap smear.. Did it.. I called back 2 weeks later and no one had any recollection of it ever getting done or processed. Had to make another appt and wste time in the waiting room.. and not even for a doctor. For a freekin nurse! No one has time.for this!!
