The hotel was clean, and the location puts you within walking distance of two subway stations. Their add suggested a hot breakfast, which did not exist anymore, and during my stay I was woken up in the middle of the night by another resident propositioning me for sex, and there was someone slinging drugs out front of the building.

This is the first time I write a review and I believe Lexington Inn is the worst place that I have ever lived!

I booked one night of room #404 in Lexington Inn on Sep 11, 2014. I simply need a place to sleep several hours and would go to JFK to get my mother in law whose flight arrived at 6:00 a.m. on the next morning.

However, I was beaten by the hostile environment of Lexington Inn. The hotel looks like very dirty. The floor carpet looks like over 150 years old. And what made me very angry is that I was waked up at 3 a.m. by impossible and ceaseless itch. As I just had a shower before I went to the bed, I am very sure that the bed is not clean!

Moreover, as the hotel is next to a high way, I could not keep myself from hearing the roaring engines all over the night.

Finally, I managed to escape from Lexington Inn at 5 a.m. and had a nap in my corolla. If you would like to try the hell trip in NYC, you must not miss Lexington Inn!

Booked this hotel last minute after my flight into JFK got delayed, and I ended up missing my connecting flight. I read the reviews only after booking a room, and to be honest, I was expecting the worst. To my surprise though, the room was actually pretty good. It was comfortable and clean, staff was friendly, and I didn't face any problems. There is some noise at night (the usual traffic and sirens) but you can't really expect silence when staying at a hotel in Queens. There is no free breakfast though (as advertised when booking), so that was a bit of a let down. But overall, a great budget hotel when you need a room for the night on short notice.

Hotel staff aka the man sitting at the front desk was great. He was super friendly and gave us a great recommendation for a place to eat. The rooms are not super clean especially if you get one with a jacuzzi. You should probably scrub the jacuzzi down before using it. Also the rooms could use more amenties ( towels, soap, etc). However for the overall experience, area and convenience I will say it was good. There is parking in the back, stores nearby open 24/7, and food places everywhere (some also open 24/7). The free breakfast wasn't really a breakfast and if I was staying here id probably tell you to skip it.

Bugs, we went into the room and on the door was bugs. It says bed breakfast hbo..it doesn t have breakfast and they don t tell u. They give u a slip with the amount and room type and it says on there no breakfast but if u don t actually read the piece of paper u don t know..there s no hbo in fact there s only 20 channels..the hot tub doesn t work And if u want to sleep in not gonna happen 6am cars are slamming on their horn..they act like they have all these extras to get u to stay here but they don t have anything then when asked about the t.v they say what room are u and fondle with papers stare at the computer till u just walk away..

My husband and I booked this hotel for a weekend stay in the city and we checked out AS SOON AS WE CHECKED IN. I picked this hotel for access to public transportation and the parking lot. Upon arrival, we were greeted in the parking lot by the biggest hoard of rats I've ever seen. We were brave enough to get out of the car (the rats were running underneath my car as we were trying to get out) and scamper inside to find a dingy, hot, smelly, unwelcoming lobby with an already disconcerting exchange taking place in the lobby-a guest was bargaining for a light bulb replacement in her room and the hotel staff was arguing with her that it was not possible. Eventually they caved, but after lots of theater. Staff almost refused to help us check in upon arrival and I had to ask to be helped-there weren't any other people in the lobby so I don't really understand the delay-the guy was on the computer-he could have at least told us he would be a minute. Once checked in, we were led upstairs into a smoky hallway, with loud exchanges from neighbors with paper thin walls. My guess is that they have some colorful long-term residents? Once inside; the room was filthy, stunk of cigarette smoke and swisher sweets (if you're at all sensitive to cigarette smoke, don't even bother attemting this one.) there was garbage on the floor, the front of the cigarette-burned tub had broken and fallen off and was askew on the floor, when I turned the light on, the bulb popped and we didn't even look in the bathroom or turn down the sheets. My husband and I have stayed in some questionable places and I would consider us on the low end of the spectrum in terms of fuss, but this place was beyond exception-I definitely felt prompted to share our experience. Upon immediate checkout, the staff refused to refund the room stay, though we turned around immediately. Staff offered to "spray the room" to satisfy our discomfort, as if the smell was the only problem! After getting out of there and finding a clean option near the airport, I checked my bank account to find that hotel staff had charged my card TWICE for this nightmare. I immediately contested the charges with my bank and am still dealing with this gross exchange weeks later. Don't bother staying here - no matter how tough your resolve might be. It was dirty, there was poor service, and we felt generally unsafe. This was by far, my worst hotel experience.

To all those who are traveler's expecting to be by JFK....this hotel is not close ! Whoever rated this hotel a 5 is out of their minds! Let me just start with the fact that they gave me a room that was filthy! And when I requested a clean room I was refused! Hair was all over the bed and bathroom. The room wasnt cleaned! The previous occupants clothes and garbage was still in the room! The guy at the front desk was so dam rude and disgusting I dont even know how he is allowed to be the face of this establishment! He only caters to who he chooses and you'll see why. Everyone else will be treated like 2nd class citizens. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS

Check in was quick, but as soon as I get into the room I'm greeted by roaches. It was late and paid for so we toughed it out. Had to make sure to shake out everything before heading home. And also the front desk personnel in the morning wasn't trying to give me my cash deposit back. Every rude a.d sneaky.

As a last minute resort, my boyfriend and I chose to stay here because of a power outage in my apartment in the middle of the night and this place was nearby and available at 3am. Was charged 100 for 8hrs. Apparently its cash only. My room stunk of cigarettes. Chair was broken and there was hair in the bath tub. Shower curtain rod was broken on one side too. The lights, toilet and AC were the only things working. Someone was going at my door handle turning hard sometime after i checked in. Oh and lastly no breakfast was available. I would never stay here again.

LISTEN STAY AWAY!!!! Smelly unprofessional, rascist, thieves own by Indians....just stay away! We booked 2 weeks in advance $390 for 3 nights all confirmed....driving from half way around the country, to hear the reservation was declined...with no communication to us and now it's $300 per night for a smelly sex shop. You were WARNED. No customer service what so ever! Did I mention how smelly and rude the "manager" was?

I almost didnt walk in due to the people smoking right in front of the entrance and not on the side. Entering my room I noticed the ac cover was laying aside the wall, mattress covered with stains on the corners. For $120 it was meh. Prob wont return. Furniture should be cleaned and fixed.

Twice in 3 nights had to change room. Requested non smoking got opposite. Too many complaints about this run down shack. I wrote the manager requested partial refund still waiting. Where are the health and building inspectors in New York city. In the condition of that building how are they permitted to open. You have to fix your bath tub no shower lever. The cupboard smashed. All night people screaming in the hall way. IF this is what New York is advertising to attract visitors you might as well stay home or go elsewhere. Not even worth a minus minus star. Why these folks need to keep copies of your hot I'd what none sense is that?
Like going star bucks and you have to provide your ID and they keep a copy.
Is this a plan to run a scam from india

Really bad place! Employees are rude, all Indians, the place is dirty! People yelling in the hallways at all hours of the night! Smell like pot! The room card worked only once. they replacement cards didn't work, mold in shower curtains and shower wall, electrical outlets didn't work, only two in the entire room. Very small room! The elevator is Nasty! Found dirty bed covers and pillow shames. If you want to have a good night sleep dont stay at this hotel.

First of all the staff seemed rude and had an attitude. They take a $50 deposit in cash only which was annoying. Because most hotels take the deposit in card. The room seemed okay. A little dirty perhaps. The blanket was cheap and uncomfortable. There is no glass or even cups to drink water. The price was comparatively cheap but this is not a 3 star hotel. I would not recommend this.

I cant give less than 1. Honestly, worst hotel that i went till now. Here is what happened, I booked hotel for 1 night and Jan 5 7pm, i checked in. When i was going into my room on 3rd floor, I heard a women screaming and shouting from another room, I ignored and went into the room. After 30 min, one guy was banging all the doors on 3rd and 5th floor. I heard a big bang sound later and I got tensed and decided to leave the hotel. When i came out of my room, there were 15 policemen and they asked me to take stairs and go down. I went down and without even wanting to know what happened, I left the hotel and booked another hotel. Now, the hotel management is not willing to talk about this incident and they didnt refund my money, on top of that front desk ppl are talking crazy as if they dont know what happened on that day. Horrendous hotel, awful management, 0% SECURE. IFYOU WANT TO PUT YOUR LIFE INT RISK YOU HAVE DOORS OPEN IN THIS HOTEL. GOOD LUCK !!!!!

This hotel was perfect for me...Staff great, no complaints, tell them what u need and they will make sure your needs are met..I want to personally thank the female "D" . She was very helpful, but first visit staff was not friendly at all. I was suppose to stay (3) days but extended my stay. I felt safe & secure as a female traveling alone. I would definitely stay again. If u have to go anywhere ur room is secure because they give u a fresh card, upon interning ur room...Thank u Lexington, in a time such as this "COV-19) u met all my needs.......thank you...

STOP AND READ.....!
This was the worst hotel I have even being in my life. I'm not from New York and I had an event to attend, I wanted to fine somewhere that was close to the venue but this was a mistake...
The room smell like death. The sheets and comforter had hair all over it. The Curtains was so dirty I was scared to close the window.
I had to go on the road to buy Lysol, towels and sheet... luckily I didn't need to sleep because the even was all night. They didn't even had a iron in the room... This was just bad.

If you are coming for a bed and shower then leaving you're set. Unfortunately the floor or shower weren't particularly clean (random stains on the floor, whiskers in the shower). There was almost no sound proofing from the windows or door. We could hear people arguing in the lobby, talking on their phone in the breakfast area and traffic outside. While there is free parking there are only 10 spots.

My boyfriend and I booked a room here online as you can see the pictures look great. However once we arrived we realized the pictures were deceiving. As the elevator was molded dirty and falling apart. We booked a room with a jacuzzi we were told this was the only room with one. We paid 170$ we got to the room and as soon as you opened the door we were smacked with pure funk the ceiling was collapsing damn near it was dirty the jacuzzi was so small I don't think it was for adults and it was also dirty the room was very tight worst experience in my life. I don't recommend this place I ask for a manager couldn't get one. And the men at the front desk were extremely nonchalant

Can you give negative stars! AC didn't work. Everyrhing was grimy. Even the handles on the dresser was covered in grime. Didn't even have all the sheets. Stains on what were there and hair in the bed.

As soon as you walk in there is a very strong odor of underarm sweat. Very gross! The lobby is full of supplies and remodeling material that appears to have been there forever. The elevator is disgusting. There's so much things smeared and spilled and hand prints all over the walls I did not want to touch anything in there. The room was actually not bad at first till we noticed hair in between bedsheets and none of the mirrors were wiped down. Also I found 2 old rotten muffins behind the mini fridge after looking for something I dropped back there. I feel cheated out of 150 dollars I will NEVER go back there!

My Boyfriend and I stayed here for a night in order to attend a party close by. When we first walked in the smell of weed smoke was overwhelming. The rooms are pretty comfortable. We had a small refrigerator and a nice television. The biggest issue we had was concerning The bite marks my boyfriend woke up with the next day so beware of potential bed bugs .

Costumer service in this place was horrible, the front desk person during evening hours was the rudest costumer service I ve ever experienced in my life. Not to mentioned the place was very dirty and old building, when I booked my staying with them, they advertised it as to served free breakfast and there was not any breakfast at all . I won t recommend this place to anyone neither will stay there ever again.

The guy in the front desk was a mallu and he was busy watching indian mallu porn. We called him a lot of times but still he didn't show up since he was busy watching his favorite indian porn (Devar bhabi affaires). I hope the guy sitting in the front desk will have more time for the guests instead of watching porn.

Rooms are clean, but there is no coffee maker. Our room was very loud, it was directly behind the reception, there was always loud talking and despite requests to be quieter, there was no improvement. Our room door was open twice after cleaning

Dirtiest hotel ever, personals are rude, no breakfast, forget about parking, if you by any chance will book a room here, you will park in Jamaica hospital parking building, 24 hour rate is $14. No tea pot in the room, no microwave, oldest and dirtiest furniture is here. Conditioner works with loudest noise so you need to turn it off if you want to sleep. If i had a chance and it wouldn t be urgent, i wont stay here. the pictures show the dust and dirt. They clean restroom, change towels everyday.

It's a shelter motel and they always try to rip people off,at breakfast if you don't get up early to get first you won't get any, also it smell, never again!!!!!If you don't believe me then go ahead see for your self, you will regret it!!Also if you complain about whatever it might be they quickly want to kick you out of there, and for any reason that you have to stay in there due the reason that there is no rooms available no place else they will tell you no that there is no room, and it's all because they complaint that you previously did!!Another thing I had to call the front desk manager to inform him that his staff are vacuuming the hall way at 11:38 of the night. I was like come on it woke me up from the noise, so my suggestion is first make sure that you look for a room some place else!!!
