Great old-fashioned hardware store with an amazing stock of the things you need. Lots of personal help too. This is a branch of the store of the same name in Arlington.

This is a hardware store where real people serve you. It was a pleasure shopping there.
No coin valves. Counter person couldn't help. Or didn't want to? Oh well someone else gets my business.
Has everything we need, even for a smaller store. No disappointments.
Needed an air filter for an older Toro lawn mower they were the only ones that had one nice O fashion hardware store with a little bit of everything and friendly helpful staff Disregard my lack of punctuation and poor grammar it's the speech recog nition
Took my order for plexiglass cuts, Said it would be ready next day. I called late the next day And some frustrated woman says, we can't do plexiglass cuts. What? Advise your employees on your services. You wasted my time & lost my business. Go to Wannamaker Hardware in Arlington, They did everything i needed & seemed more experienced. Not that teenagers cant do things. I experienced the same issue at Home Depot, the associates didn't even know what plexiglass is!. You get what you pay for.
you can find some special parts here, even you cannot get it in Lowes, I like here, good customer service.
We had a similar experience today. Staff refusing to wear masks. Almost every customer followed their lead and didn't wear a mask. Social distancing not being followed by staff or enforced for customers.
It is a local hardware store that can help you with almost anything you need in a pinch and don't have time to drive to a bigger store for. Good quality products at high prices. Local service (personalized, genuine, nice, but slow).
This is a really good local hardware store with helpful staff and a large inventory of the things you need if you take care of your own home.
Great service and knowledgeable staff. They have a good selection of most household needs.
Friendly service with almost anything you could need for a home improvement project or the like.
Beth McHugh, the assignment manager is great!! She is always helpful and very knowledgeable!!!
I called to ask if Ace offered tool sharpening services. Joe answered and was snotty and dismissive. Sorry for being a female asking how much to sharpen an axe.
He was flustered and snarky and said there was a range of prices for axe sharpening and acted as if I was an imbicile for asking such an absurd question. I then called Bedford. Nice guy, good mood, $4 and said an axe is an axe. I didn't bother telling him of my experience at Lexington.
Buh-bye Shattuck - keep hiring jacknuts like Joe who don't think women should be allowed to ask questions and you might see a 50% reduction in sales.
Couldnt find any help. Felt like a small overpriced home depot...
This place is a small cramped local hardware store. Fortunately, the staff is friendly and very helpful in locating the right parts for home projects and emergency situations. It's definitely better to ask them for help than to browse.
Big selection for a small place. If you come in close to closing time they won't be very happy and will just tell you to get out since they want to go home. Well just one person's experience with one staff member.
Parking is so limited that its impossible to find a free spot most days. Store had a good variety of goods available. Floor staff presence would be great with regards to helping find items...I don't want to have to hunt down some help!!
Excellent and helpful service. I was looking to replace some screws and bolts and the staff did a great job guiding me and finding the exact size I needed for my job.
Stay away from this place if you care about your health during the pandemic.
Was waiting in line and had to listen to all the clerks boast they wouldn't wear a mask - that the "governor" couldn't make them wear a mask. Meanwhile all us customers, including the elderly ones, were respectfully wearing ours. Now I'm a staunch believer in civil liberties, but to run your business with no respect (and I use this word pointedly here) for the health (and lives) of your customers -- is reprehensible.
I was feeling so angry when I walked out the door that -- I admit, and against my better judgment - I remarked to the clerk holding the door that "so you're too cool to wear a mask." He flew off off the handle and tried to fight me outside. I'll admit, I used an f-bomb here. But I was ready to fight the guy and stand my ground, when he came charging in my FACE and deliberately BREATHED ON ME from his maskless face. At that point I went back in to ask for the owner -- and when I did, the guy behind the desk claimed, with a smirk on his face, that HE was the owner. Meanwhile the other employees (all of them maskless and in the habit of crowding customers in the aisles, I had already noticed) looked at me like hells angels might look at the guy who knocks over the bikes outside the poolhall.
I got out of there.
These guys should be glad the governor is letting them stay open at all. I don't care what your politics are - the way these clerks acted is a disgrace on liberty and our democratic duty to protect the weak.
Very limited supply of spray paint, and nothing in a navy blue.
The tools I sought were on sliding panels three deep. Very hard to see the deepest where, of course, was the part I was seeking.
Good selection of adhesives, epoxy and glue.
The staff (2) both remained at the register while I searched. I had to go to them three times for help with location of items.
Very helpful. Reasonably priced, right in line with the big box retailers. Cab be tough to pull In and out of the parking lot. But plenty of space to park once you do.
Possibly my favorite store in all of Lexington. I go there weekly for items to complete every kind of home project. Very knowledgeable sales people.
Old fashion service and great cost. Saved me time and money.
Support local hardware stores! A lovely clerk assisted us with an electric drill issue.
Had to go in today to pick up a quick electrical part. Will not shop here again after 30 years. Staff was totally unprotected ..., unbelievably, no masks, no gloves, including the cashier at checkout. Also had a couple of young boys wandering around the store oblivious to spatial distancing. Truly unbelievable selfishness and ignorance. Won t get another nickel from me.
Good service and good selection. Convenient and close to Lexington center.
It was nice to walk into a store and to find everything you need. It's also nice to have such knowledgeable and helpful sales people. It's not a big store, but they always seem to be well stocked.
Gotta love your local Ace Hardware.
Has almost anything you would need for quick repairs or projects.
They squeeze a lot of stuff into a small store.
Local service. Used to be fully independent but now owned by Shattuck Hardware. Still great service.
Great place it's like going to your home town hardware... much more pleasant than the big 2 hardware stores
Helpful, friendly staff always seem to have what I want.
Feels like a mom'n'pop but don't be deceived by the small front...they are fully stocked with multiple rooms in the basement. Help is always nearby so no need to wander around for a half hour trying to find an employee. A homeowners dream for easy pickups and last minute fixes.
Staff very helpful and they have a great selection even being a smaller store
