I had a protection order in place and was ignored by the officers. They put me in danger and when I asked for the them to look in to my cell phone being hacked I was ignored. They aided my abuser to furthur torment me and did nothing. They should be ashamed of their treatment and lack of investigation.
Nice people but they wouldn't let me pet a K9 Officer, 0/10 for that part.

Officer Bell did a wonderful job with helping me gather information about a hit and run I was involved in . She did a very outstanding job by providing me with a very detailed police report. I have never seen anything like that! You deserve a raise!!
No good, the way the conduct their investigation are very questionable.
I had a few questions to ask over the phone and the officer I spoke to was brilliant! Very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Nice to know we have such personable folks looking out for us.
The police came out to my apartment after a cat jumped into my window that had possible rabbies...The poor thing couldn't make eye contact and moved very oddly I was afraid to go near it and I have two curious young boys in ny home. It was in my room and I was afraid to go in my own room at 35 years of age Lol. An officer showed up right away! Very friendly in black gloves, tusseled a bit but managed to grab the cat and toss him back out of the window. Thanks so much!!!
I don't know about the department itself but the 2 officers that I have had to deal with have exaggerated the truth and lied about traffic violations to make the fines a higher price. I believe they're more interested in writing tickets than they are public safety.
I love my LPD. Car got broken into once and they were fast and super nice when I called it in. Even when receiving *ahem* a speeding ticket, still nice :) plus they do a lot of community outreach.
These cops are corrupt and up to no good their a sad excuse for law enforcement
My family and I just stopped in at a local gas station where we got to witness a great act of kindness. A car pulled up to a pump and an officer pulled in behind him. The officer walked up to the car and I thought my kids were going to witness something not so family friendly . Instead they got to witness the officer buy the gentleman some gas. What a wonderful act of kindness!!! He didn t have to do that but he did. I call that some serious above and beyond! Thank you officer for your service and kindness!
As I write this, the Lenexa police department has a 2.4 rating. That's ridiculous. They deserve better. The challenge is that happy people usually don't say so. I have had nothing but good experiences with them and I have lived in and close to Lenexa all my life. I have also traveled to 47 states. We have it pretty good here. The last ticket I received was in Lenexa . . . and I deserved it. I wonder how many bad reviews come from people that can't stand authority and hate to follow rules. My guess is that many of them likely hated their teachers too. Just a guess. One more thing, if you call them racists, at least spell the word correctly.
Very terrifying I belong to a autistic community & Ive heard so many stories about hate crimes against disabled people & against autistic family's. Like boys blowing up mail boxes. I cant believe this stations police officers still say BOYS WILL BE BOYS! It's so sad when a autistic teen is told be another normal teen that "he hates him for being different & he will blow up his house. I know it's a mailbox but that's too much for me. Shame shame on this office
Is there a way you can give a negative star? At first I was thinking are the police in this area really that bored???? Then after reading all these similar posts of how the police is bothering more people just as much as they are helping is really sad. I'm another unnecessary victim and I guess in my case I either looked suspicious (have had the cops called on me multiple time for this - no citations or punishment from them) or driving on a goomy sat afternoon while BLACK! It's ironic when you start recording the people who is supposed to protect the community that is more like harrassing the community because they have the power, their behavior changes. In my case as soon as i put my phone up to the rear window to start recording 2 officers turn off into a parking lot just to loop around then get back on the road and continue to follow me. It's really SAD. I was literally followed almost 5 miles to my friends driveway in a residential neighborhood and when I parked and got out of the car they just rode past and stared. What made it worse was the fact that toddlers were playing in the yard next door with their parents and they are observing me like I'm the bad person. I felt like the neighbors created a negative stereotype against me and my friends just for being followed. It may be a part of your job (I have family in law enforcement) but if you are THAT BORED help other jurisdictions with some of these unsolved theft and murders, or go volunteer, but leave the good people ALONE.
Got followed today for driving around with my seatbelt on, good tags, and obeying speed limit. But then I was told I didn't stop right behind the white line at a stop light. I honestly have no idea why this officer followed me in the first place and really needed to find a reason to pull me over. I was just headed to the park with my mom, grandma, and 19 month old son in the car.... doing NOTHING wrong. Seriously ridiculous!!!!!

Horrible experience with one of the women officers.
I ve been stopped in Lenexa twice within the past two years. Both times I have had nothing but nice and personal officers that would let me off with a warning. I have also talked with a detective before and he was also very friendly and helpful towards me. Great police work here guys! Keep it up!
Thank you for using volunteers for appropriate community related tasks. It gives interested participants a productive outlet and allows regular policemen/women to focus on the safety of the Lenexa community.
