LEM Oostende/Brugge NV - LEM Antwerpen NV Review

If I can choose a departure airport, this is Ostend Bruges airport. Small, safe and smooth check-in. Some expansion and more flights in the winter would be a plus.

Being a small airport has great advantages, but it is very difficult to find a taxi at night and reach the city. Rent a car is not open at night.

Nice to come here for dinner with a view of the runway. Still tasty and affordable too!

While others complain about the age. That is what makes this airport experience unique! It doesn't harm the practical fictionally at all. Just a reminder of how some major airports nowadays looked like in the 60s. The restaurant with the observation deck is definitely a highlight.

Intolerant behavior towards the elderly (+70 year olds) ... Federal agent customs thought it necessary to chew off several older people for minutes (even insult) because of their foreign language ... Ordinary (racist) talk and behavior ...

The first time at this airport and I really liked it. Small, compact, not noisy, no crowds of tourists, clean ... friendly staff. All airport infrastructure is here.

Nice small, quiet airport with good destinations: all year round to Alicante and Tenerife for example. Also Bulgaria, but maybe only in the summer months ... Online booking with Tui Fly possible. Restaurant on the first floor with a beautiful view of the airport. Only a drink is also possible. Toilet on the ground floor is free. Sometimes long waiting times during control. Airport was renewed last year and should be better now ...
You can leave the car for free in the nearby streets near the houses.
If parking: the furthest parking lot is a lot cheaper.
The first half hour in the parking lot is free, so ideal for picking up people.

Once you have left via this airport you simply do not want another. Small, easy-going, no long queues, smooth check-in and / or check-out, quiet but pleasant cafeteria, ... Unless of course you are keen on crowds and chaos

Delicious from food. We always eat there when we arrive from a trip.

It is a small airport where most flights connect with Spanish provinces. They have a cafeteria inside and another outside. The staff is friendly and it is comfortable to travel to Spain from here without having to go to Brussels

This is a clean and tidy airport. Smooth baggage handling both on departure and after landing.

Small airport. Not really busy. There is a restaurant / cafe with a view of the runway, but airplanes take off and land only a few times a day. So if you want to spot planes, it is better to check in advance what time a plane arrives or departs.

Good if you live nearby and want to travel to Spain. Otherwise there is little to see or experience.

Very roughly treated by 2 young ladies from security, my parents 80 and 83 was helping

Oct 2019: Our children dropped off here, who left for Rhodes. Very easy and well-arranged airport. More fun than the busy Brussels or Charleroi. You can fly here with TUI instead of the Ryanair. Certainly recommended in October, it turned out. Very quiet. (And close to the sea. For those who bring family, they can make a day trip by the sea.)

Very good experience, very friendly. The airport is small and very close to the city. There are parking lots outside and a pick up point. Cozy and with a restaurant inside.

I had a terrible experience at this airport. First of all, there is nothing, no cafe or shops, nowhere to wrap your luggage and nobody cares to help. But the worst is the hand luggage control - they may take ANYTHING they want from your carryon, they don t bother to explain to you why they take it, to be honest I doubt that they actually spend a little time learning what is allowed to the cabin and what is not, they just assume that they know (if one of them doubts, he just looks at his colleagues and they decide together). They won t show you any paper or instructions they just take your staff from your bag and say it is a rule. And I am not talking only about cheese (they LOOOVE to take cheese from tourists, you can see that smile and definitely can say that they enjoy their tiny power to take your things that you spend your own money on), they can practically take ANYTHING! Food, cosmetics and more, ones they took my tape). If you dare to tell them that you disagree with them they become extremely rude and disrespectful (to young, adult and old people)! They definitely won t try to find a way to save your property before you come back (because they enjoy taking it from you and seeing you upset), people who use this airport usually leave the country forever and this is a reason why they think they can act so. They know that none of their supervisors will hear about it, they know that the tourists don t have time to argue about their things, passengers don t want to have any problems and miss their flight and this is why the workers of the airport can do whatever they want, laugh to your face when you cry about your things that they take. I am curious, does anybody check what is in those blue boxes? Does anyone check what these workers take from people? Or we just assume that tourists only make mistakes?

Small, easy-going. First time via Oostende but if I can choose then it will definitely be Oostende again!

Small cozy airport, although there is not even an information counter. The control goes smoothly, but is stricter here, you even have to put your smartphone separately in the boxes.
The restaurant, after the check, has a limited but sufficient range. Since the restaurant is in the same room as the waiting room, there is sufficient seating.
On the first floor there is also a restaurant, open to everyone, but is not open in the morning when the first flights leave.
In the waiting room, at the entrance, there is a self-service coffee machine.

Very proud of our airport and all the services that work there. Super motivated staff and friendly welcome. Small but nice I would say!

This is the worst airport security ever. They steal cheese, foie-gras and other expensive stuff from the passengers, saying those are liquids. They show a page printed on a color printer with no ref. to any law or regulation. They refuse to introduce theirselves or to make photo or video to orove that. Thus making a claim almost impossible.

Pleasant small efficient airport with cheap parking. The transit zone is very expensive.

Small-scale airport, ideal for going to a warm destination with Tui. Nicely updated in the hall but you can't compare it with CRL or BRU

New Year's gift from the Airport staff has been to go on strike! Socialism at it's finest, idiots!

Old building. Outdated and not very safe. The only beverage machine at the baggage hall was not working. Carts need a 2 euro deposit. Old but clean toilets.

Nice he likes being there. Eat or drink something. Watch planes take off, land and dream away to a holiday destination . . People who leave from there Have a Nice flight . Nice holiday

A little outdated on the outside, modern on the inside. Friendly staff. Nice bar/diner. Could use some electrical sockets in the waiting area.

Airport with 50s retro flair. Hardly flight operations. Restaurant overlooking the apron is recommended.

I like this airport because it is still possible to see your loved ones leave for enchanting places, just go to the brewery-restaurant and look through the large canopy and you will see them get on their plane. Take the opportunity to cool off with a cool drink.

It's easy the get your flights. Not very busy . In high seasons. For my it's was e place for dreaming on moments I was living on the street in the homeless life. De police control my bath let my by their time enoufh for e better mood in meself

Food super tasty, but staff the older, the more rude. Really a letdown
