My son chose here for his birthday. If your kids love leggos then this is the place to be. It was cool to see the buildings they created. Very interactive. We took a class and made our own leggo animal to take home. All day event. The kids were happy and really enjoyed it. That makes a mom happy. No fighting just pure entertainment.

Awesome joint. Ninjago sesh till September 2019. Kids loved all games and activities. Worth it, great value. Pace yourself adults, as certainly tires big ones out sooner. Boston element, with great landmarks Logan airport, baseball grounds and don't forget the superb lifelike LEGO Giraffe outside. Super shops on same street by the harbour. Osh cosh Carter's Clark's etc etc. A whole day spent here easily. Incredible, as ever ingenious Lego capturing every possible angle. 5 stars

I brought my nephew yesterday because I thought it would be fun to take part in the new LEGO Movie themed activities with him. I was disappointed because we never saw the characters to meet in the more than 2 hours we were there, and the movie in the cinema wasn t the LEGO movie. I only saw one additional activity that was about the movie and it wasn t very impressive. He got excited to see the Star Wars scenes, but then half of the animation wasn t functioning. Honestly, I could get over my disappointment that LEGO Boston didn t really seem to make much effort for the movie theme given the hype posted on their website because my nephew still had fun. However, they stay at a 3 star rating because of the staff. We walked in and the three employees at the reception desk barely acknowledged our presence. No greeting, no smiles. We went early to avoid the crowds, but when she said ok go ahead there wasn t much clarity on where to go or what to do so I had to ask multiple questions. We encountered 4 more staff as we went through the various parts of the park. None were friendly, none smiled, none seemed to think that a little boy was super excited because he loves LEGO and that the way to build a customer for life is to make things even a little special by just saying hello, asking if he s having fun....anything. Even when we bought a couple of LEGO kits on the way out, he was so happy to be getting them and the gentleman didn t say one word other than the dollar amount of the purchase, put the receipt on the counter and turned back to talk to his coworker without a thanks or have a good day . It s THAT part of our experience that means I won t be back.

I brought my 6yr old son here and we had a blast. There are a couple rides to enjoy, lots of LEGO building stations and activities, a huge jungle gym with more LEGO s inside it, a snack bar with lots of seating, and a virtual reality ride that was amazing! It s expensive ($5 per ticket separate from admission), but super worth it at least once! I bought the mid-priced admission tickets that came with a toy, and it was a tiny LEGO set. Overall the experience was super enjoyable.

We went on a weekday, so it wasn't crowded at all. The place was great, but if anyone in your group had sensory issues the volume on some of the rides is very loud (likely for when the place is crowded).

My husband and I took our kids ages 3 and 5. They enjoyed the time we spent there. It was a good time but a little expensive for what it is. Also we stood in line for the 4D movie which still hadn't opened the doors 10 minutes after it's start time, we decided to step out of the line. The gift shop isn't overly priced. Not much more than retail store price for Legos. That was a pleasant surprise. I personally enjoyed all the lego replicas. Overall not a bad experience and my kids had fun.

I think it has potential to be a better establishment but the high cost and the rules make it less likely for my family to revisit. I think it s completely ridiculous that parents have to pay. And with the high cost you d think once your that s it, haha nope, you have to pay for VR and other things. It s just too costly to be a frequent visitor. Not to mention the lights went out in the front show room and we couldn t really view the highly talked about LEGOs

This was recommended to us as a half day activity and I would totally agree that it s a great half day activity for little ones. It s quite expensive for one trip but found a discount code online and saved 40%. There are two rides which are quite enjoyable for a 3.5 year old and then there is the Lego, the displays are amazing and interest the adults more than the kids.
The staff need special mention as very friendly and helpful.

First- staff was kind and helpful, they deserve 5 stars! Issue is with the cost vs what activities are available. Luckily hardly anyone was there, which enabled my daughter and I a chance to do the few stations/rides that were set up. Had it been crowded, it would have been a complete rip-off. TL:DR ok if not crowded, avoid if it is

We came here to celebrate my son's 8th birthday. He enjoyed going through the exhibits and riding the two rides. The venue was smaller than expected but luckily we went on a day where it wasn't too crowded so we were able to walk through a few times. We had lunch at the cafe and was surprised that the items were reasonably priced and delicious. When I asked my son if he would like to go back one day I got an enthusiastic "Yes!".

My 2 YO son had a blast, that's all that matters! Has two rides that he wanted to do over and over. Excellent place to bring your kids and just build stuff. You need to bring children to enter or come during adult night. Parking around here can be bit tough. Meters are 4 hours max, but can refill with online app.

Really fun for adults and kids. The place isn't very big and I'd recommend going on a slow day as i can imagine it'd be a nightmare when packed with kids. The premade display Lego city was incredible. Depending on how many kids in your group (and how busy it is) expect to spend about 2-3 hours before you get bored. The Lego gift shop afterwards isn't anything special, and Amazon will always be cheaper, but your kids will demand something. Expect it.

We had a fun afternoon at the Legoland Discovery Centre. We knew before going that the centre is more of an exhibit with a decent size interactive area where the kids can play with Lego, and our kids (ages 6 and 4) were okay with that. We spent about two hours here which was plenty. The gift shop didn t offer much in terms of variety, mostly Lego building kits I would have loved to see more apparel and household items (like mugs, towels, etc.) similar to the gift shop at the Legoland Amusement Parks.

It is definatly worth atleast 1 visit if you have never been. Glad I went but not the price with "extras" not inc with entry price. Was expecting it to be bigger but a lot of activity for kids to do.

Buy tickets online ahead of time

It will save you a good amount of money than if you just pay at door. Plus you can see all the add ons. Garage needs a credit card to park. 1st 3hrs are free.

Inc in cost of entry tix:
* Lego models of Boston major landmarks
* Starbucks inside(comfy chairs & power outlets)
* there are 2 rides
* jungle gym
* build class
*Lego's everywhere

Not Include must pay "extra" for:
* activity pac (good for young kids)
* VR ride (1 min tops was expecting more)
* Starbucks food/drink

Very dirty. Pretty sure the place hasn t been cleaned in weeks from the looks of all the dust bunnies. I get it that kids play places get dirt tracked in but this was dust and grime! Huge dust bunnies in the slides and play areas.
Kids had fun tho. It s a good hours worth before they ve seen it all.

I went with my son as a chaperone for his school field trip. The children were excited and had a good time just going on the "Wizard " ride and running around. The workshop they attended had them work.in teams which taught about working together as they assembled this gear model. The 4D movie was good but we did not like the spraying water...it smelled funny to us. They warn you about it before hand. We had to being the children down stairs to eat their lunch on the floor in the lobby as they did not allow them to eat at the tables upstairs since they did not buy their food. I think an exception could have been made since we were the only school group there at rhat early time but whatever. My son loved it, me not so much but it is about our babies!

Very fun place to bring some kids. Overall it is kind of small and really the time is spent in a large room for the kids to play around either building or climbing over stuff. It is located in a trendy part of town adjacent to a parking garage. Not an all day thing but a few hours can ve apent easily.

First time there. Took my 5 year old daughter since we were in the area.
I wasn't sure if she would enjoy it but she loved it!
Yes , overpriced with discount to $25 per person.
I thought the 4d movie was cute and funny.
Rides are a little short but not awful.
There are legos everywhere to play with and a play area. I was there 3 hours and my child still refused to leave! ( we just sat and watched, which can get boring but as long as she was happy that's all that matters)
Yes, the place is small and one big open area with a cafe in the middle.
The gentleman in the craft makers shop was pleasant and so were some of the other staff .. only a few need to show a little more excitement working in a childrens venue.
Gift shop was overpriced as any shop would be.
Parking was free right in garage next to the facility ! I'd go back.
** suggestion to maybe fix all the broken buttons in the Lego model room, and add more in there to press**

My son loved it so much. He asked to go back again. We had fun as well. The 4D movie was great. It was only 15 minutes. Which was great. He didn't get bored sitting there. He liked the ride where he could shoot the bad guys. He loved the VR ride. We will definitely go back sometime. The only thing I would have to say is it was not easy to find. There is no signs saying legoland this way. It can be confusing how to get there. Google maps didn't have good direction. But as far as that it was a awesome trip.

I went with my son and his 2nd grade class for a school field trip and we all had a blast. Everyone that went with us had fun and enjoyed themselves including the teachers and parents who chaperoned. There's all types of interesting and fun things to do and see here for all ages, not just for kids. They have a large room called Miniland which is full of intricate replicas of all different iconic Boston landmarks that are all made entirely out of Lego's, some of which have buttons you can press making parts of the display come to life by moving, lighting up and more. They also have rides, which were a huge hit with the kids especially the interactive laser gun ride where you are on a mission to save the Princess by shooting all the bad guys and hitting targets along the way. Another favorite was the Lego race VR experience that's moving chairs make it feel like your really there. There's so much fun stuff to do here no matter what your age there's something that will interest you from pressing pennies to building Lego creations to running, climbing and playing inside the Lego City Play Zone. There's a small forecourt where you can sit and have lunch and a rather large gift shop that has almost every Lego item you can imagine. The facility as a whole is very clean and organized and the staff is great and always happy and willing to help with anything you may need. It's definitely worth visiting at least once. We just went a week ago for the first time and we're already planning our next trip so that should say it all.

Wow, I must have really been rushed, to just leave a stars review. Let me expound, I LOVE this place, I wish I had had one growing up (tbh I revert to my 10 yr old self each time I walk in the door.) The staff is incredibly friendly, and helpful, even if you're just a big kid and don't actually have a kid with you. Of note, last time I came, just as I was going in, I was stopped at the door. Turns out a child got separated from their parents and no one was allowed in or out til it was resolved. I don't know if this is a normal policy in stores, but I think it's kind of awesome. Kudos to a staff and company that cares.

Overall it was fun. We had kids ages 7, 11, and 14. Everyone enjoyed it. We went mid afternoon on 4th of July weekend and the crowd wasn't too bad. We hardly waited in lines. The 2 rides and virtual reality were fun. Lots of stations to build your own Lego creations. The reason I only gave 3 stars is because, it was really warm in there. The air conditioner was minimally working. We asked if it was broken and they said no, it's always warm in there. It was cooler in the 4D movie theater. I wouldn't recommend going on a warm day.

Wholly underwhelming. Everyone on the staff seem to be bored or annoyed at questions and outwardly rude with the exception of the gentleman that was working the kingdom quest ride. He was friendly and energetic but literally the only one we encountered. It was our first visit and we were hopeful for a fun day. Very crowded and many parts of the play area seemed dirty and sticky. (I am not a germophobe and expect that a kids play area will not be completely sterile- but I just felt there wasn't a clean surfaces anywhere.) The employees also failed to intervene at certain points in the play structure when certain other children being excessively rough. I saw several kids leave the structure crying. Not good... I had a coupon which is why we decided to make the trip. I would not pay full price to go back.

This place is great for indoor play and includes fun for multiple ages. My children (4 and 5 yrs) had a great time. The only complaint was that the lines to get inside were unorganized and the staff scanning tickets for people who bought before showing up and pass holders were so slow that the convenience of having ready to scan tickets made no sense.

Small, two very short rides with long line's, not many activities, false advertising with the Lego Movie 2 on website making it seem like that was available in it's 4D theater, also bought the tickets with cheap "exclusive" Batman Lego shooter which was pretty cool but not worth the extra $20. Thankfully my 5yo had a blast for one hour but we will not be back. It's an obvious cash grab.

This was so fun!!! I thought it was so small from the outside view. Once inside I was totally wowed. The 4D moive theater was surprising in the best way. The automated drive through mission was entertaining. Playing in Legos is somehow relaxing even in a room filled with kids and families. I must say the kid and adult size bathrooms really makes the little ones feel important.

Expensive but fun for the kids. Two rides included in admission price, as well as a movie and all the hands in activities. An additional virtual reality ride is extra and so is the "activity pack". Can't bring in your own food either. But it entertains all ages and is a fun little day trip especially on a rainy day.

Great place to have fun! Not a whole day event but still keeps you busy many hours. Our 5 year old had blast. Granted though we are lego fans. Our kid's dream job is to be a chef at Legoland. I hope one discovery center will be opened in Denver, CO soon.

My grandson loved the place. There wasn't much activity when we were there... Couldn't even get a cup of coffee... Small Food court with no variety... Overpriced. However, if ur a little boy or girl and you love Lego's then this place is for you. I would go again if the tickets were not so much. Having to pay to get into a place that only my child will enjoy seems like a total waste of money. Especially when Mom and Dad go with the child. Over $60 to get in is worth the one time visit but to pay it again would be a waste. When the fun is over you make your way to the gift shop where you can easily drop another $100 or more in a blink of an eye. Next time I'll use the $60 in the gift shop...

I can't remember exactly, but I think garage parking is free for the first three hours, $2 for four hours, and $15 for five hours. Metered street parking is available for three hours for $2. Parking at the strip mall is for the stores only, park at your own risk (signs for towing).

We purchased the discounted tickets online for visiting after 3pm. They are normally $15 but since it was spring break it was around $17. Visiting at 3pm worked out nicely because it wasn't very crowded. We were able to look at the Lego displays while taking our time instead of being rushed by a long line behind us. We knew the place was going to be small with limited activities but we were fine with that, so we weren't too surprised when we explored the whole center pretty quickly. Some might describe the discovery center as a glorified play area and weren't happy with it. I didn't mind so much because I didn't have high expectations for the place. My 4 y.o. had fun building and playing. I do wish there was little more for my 10 y.o. to do. Although, to be honest, not sure exactly what that would be. I thought as a "discovery center" there would be some stations of "how it was made" or "how to build xyz". There is a master builder room where the kids learn how to build something, but I think they were at designated times and only accomodate 15 or so kids. There is the really neat Lego Factory Tour when you first get on the second floor though. There is a cafe that sells Starbucks if you need to stay sane The cafe also has sandwiches and snacks but they are a little pricey. Keep in mind though there are a ton of places to eat around Assembly Row if you want more than just cafe food. We probably spent about three hours here and had a good time.

There is an activity lanyard that you can purchase for $5 in which the kids search for embossing stamps in each area. If they find them all they receive a badge from the Lego store to put on the laynard. I was told this was a fairly new activity because there were probably two stamps missing. But the kids were still able to receive their badges. The rest of the activities in the pack can be done at home.

at first, when i walked up and saw the prices i was floored, but thankfully it was not that much. we arrived just as they opened and did not leave until 3:00, me and a 5 year old grand. he did everything at least twice and some 3 times. the classroom with the baggie to build a lego item, and the 4 D movies, i liked the best, he liked everything. FOOD was outrageous, so either bring or don't eat. finally left around 3:00 so we could beat traffic (fat chance in Boston), and when we were walking out, he wanted to know why we had to leave. i think he'd have spent the night there. great innovative displays and interactive displays

This place is pretty small but would be worth one trip. I dont think any of the electronics actually worked (in the first room, during the first ride or any of the buttons in the boston lego city room). The 4D movie was cute but the two rides and Virtual reality literally last two seconds. It was ok. The legos they had there are the same legos I have at home so nothing new there. My kids did like the climbing area.

Best suited for you young children, but my 11 year old had fun. Not much for parents with infants to do as even the slowest ride won't let them in, so bring a partner to switch off with if you have one. Got an activity pack for 11 year old and she enjoyed collecting the stamps.

The kids thought it was great. But they had no idea what it cost, so of course they would. Dad felt it was grossly overpriced for what it was. Let's be clear: it's $25 a person, with no discount for kids, and that's only IF you book online ahead of time and select a 30 minute window for entry. To be fair, we went on a weekday in the middle of the day and it was fairly empty, which was nice. But, it made it painfully obvious just how small it was. The entire facility the size of a large restaurant. Had it been, say, half the price, I would have felt it was an expensive outing but worth it for the uniqueness. At $100 for a family of four in a place where the kids had seen and done everything in under an hour, it felt like highway robbery. Also, a fair number of the interactive exhibits weren't working properly, which was annoying, especially given the cost. The cafe has snacks, coffee, and candy only, so don't plan on a meal there. Basically, this is a second-rate children's museum that is ONLY Lego themed and costs 5-10 times as much as one would typically cost.

Steep entrance fees but we had a free kid pass (pay 1 adult). They should really just charge per kid not per person as adults are only standing around. Each legoland has displays of the city it s in. We spent a few hours here. Indoor play gym (no shoes), 15 min 3-D movie, build a race car section, legos Legos legos. There s an overpriced cafe and bathrooms are fairly clean. Really cool place with lots of interactive areas for creative play. A great spot to spend a rainy afternoon with the kids. I particularly like two areas: there are some incredible models of Boston highlights, plus there's a cool set of indoor tracks where you build your own lego car and race it, Kentucky Derby style.

It can get a bit zoo-ey at times, particularly since some of the local schools use this as a field trip destination.

Regardless, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip there with the grand-kids!

Food in the cafeteria was expired, bricks in some of the stations was in low quantities, sound in the cinema was severely off balanced, staff was nowhere to be seen. Don't be tempted for the activity package - it is banal. It is nice if you have a Go Boston Card and need a few hours to burn. Don't pay for it specifically.

Great climbing structure, changing tables in the rest rooms was to see, food in the cafe was good, the rides were good, my six year old loved the wizard ride and did'nt want to get off. Parking was easy at the parking garage. We loved it so much we got a membership, it helps to have a little one really into legos.

I wouldn't pay normal ticket prices for entry. We had a buy 1 get 1 offer which made it pretty worth it. The lines are completely disorganized and not very clearly marked. It took just as much time to get admission for prepaying as it did to just buy tickets there. The rides were the highlights - there was a 2 minute castle ride at the beginning and a little flying ride once you were inside. Basically you're in one big room of Legos. They did have a play area which was good but a lot of kids were getting scared they couldn't see their parents the whole time. Otherwise, it was just time for your child to play with a lot of Legos. It was good for somethibg to do but a maximum 2 hour stay for little kids 5 and under probably. Was just expecting more interactive activities.
