Great place. Two good rides and enough play area for the kids. Plus every lego set you'd like to buy for the kids
Great place. Two good rides and enough play area for the kids. Plus every lego set you'd like to buy for the kids
Great spot for kids of all ages, it's like a children's museum with a Lego theme. There are two indoor rides, a theater for extra money, and a snack bar. Most importantly they have hand sanitizer in several locations!
It's not a terrible visit, and kids will definitely get a lot out of it if they love Lego. The staff at the entrance were very friendly and most gripes I have are more about the facility.
Got the feeling that they're severely understaffed. The entrance to the factory tour is unmanned and, as a result, a confusing experience.
Throughout the facility you can see that it's in need of some refurbishment. One of the rides had a long wait due to 2 out of the 7 cars being out of order. Various buttons and activities are nonfunctioning. The racecar building space had plenty of tyres but missing a lot of critical parts (like tyre spacers)
The large-scale model area is really cool, but much of it is covered in dust. The airport build converges with Harry Potter Lego sets, and Hogwarts is quite awkwardly placed in the middle of an active runway. Just a little off.
But the kids had a great time.
Rather expensive, some things didn't work, (game punches, ride, movie) Did like Boston built of Legos, very cool
Worst experience! They made a two year old cry all the way home by not allowing enough time. You pay for a time slot thinking you have the whole two hours nope they kick you out in an hour. Nothing is open you have ask for everything and that s a mission. You can t go on any rides unless you find someone and that takes up half of your hour. Terrible don t go save your money
It was fun for my grandkids 7 and 5. Rather a small place, but they had a lot of fun .
Its a very good place for childrens, a lot of fun in there. Love it
Not a big place but my 4yr old had fun. Probably spent 1.5 hours. Not the cleanest but has sanitizer stations. Food was good and not way over priced. Parking free for first 3 hours right next door.
Because I'm giving 3 stars, I'll start with what I don't like. I can't stand when places refuse to allow you to bring food in because they sell food but then they don't offer did for your allergies. My family is gluten free and unless you eat salads then basically it's tough luck if you want something other than chips.
The staff didn't feel like they wanted to be there and I had to basically fight with the person that I only had 2 people to buy the VR tickets. Overall the kids had a lot of fun but there's a lot to be desired.
Awesome for young kids (went with four 0 thru 6 year olds) & Lego loving adults
I took my 10 year old sister here and we had a blast. Even after 3 hours she was still entertained. The movie was horrible, but that's okay considering it was only 12 minutes long and 4D. Everything about this place is extremely impressive.
I like the experience they offer however, it may be time to refresh the Lego presentation. The movie seemed like a commercial in the beginning but, it got better towards the end. Also, the first room was uncomfortably warm but it was cooler in the main room. My children enjoyed themselves, so I make my rating based off their experience and not my impression that it is overpriced and well worn.
Legoland put significant resources to make what is amazing LEGO structures and more. There was a small movie theater and a amusement go around. They also had a small venue to purchase drinks and small sandwiches. I could see it becoming repetitive for both kids and adults after a few visits- but for now I would say five stars all the way. Everyone will a young child should give that a once over to try it out.
What an amazing experience. It was a little costly for myself and my 4 kids but so worth it!! They had a blast and the employees there were so helpful and kind.
Shockingly unimpressive. Rather small and basic interactive exhibits. Children enjoyed their time here, and at least it s not absolutely insanely priced.
It's a great day trip with the kiddo. We have so much fun creating!! It's busiest in the middle of the day. Lines were nothing later on after dinner! And a ton of the little bag Lego have a coupon on the back so your kid gets in for free with one full price adult ticket! It's worth it! Plus you get more Lego!!!
Very friendly staff. All areas including the bathrooms were very clean. The rides, including the VR were very fun. The annual membership price is very reasonable! We used the parking garage to park, it was a very quick walk and only a few dollars to park for a few hours.
The place has pluses and minuses. On the plus side, the staff are friendly, the rides are simple but fun and the karaoke was a great hit with my 4 year old. The miniature boston legos were absolutely outstanding!!! It is worth a visit to just see those. On the negative side. Cafeteria lacks a lot of healthy options. The place is small.. With limited attractions.. Still well worth a visit if you have small kids.
Nice place for buying presents for kids and Lego lovers. little cute souvenirs available to present to your Mera and dear ones
This giraffe stands tall in mid of assembly square row.
Wonderful did, excellent ingredients, but most importantly super friendly service. We used Roxana for a 300+ reception and their food was awesome.
My daughter had an awesome time! Between playing, enjoying the rides, watching a movie, playing more = She had a blast. We would love to visit again!
An excellent Lego experience for the money. They have a few rides, and great Lego creations of the Boston area. Buy your tickets online and you'll save $10/ticket. The experience is skewed more for younger kids age 8 and under. The VR ride is very good.
Its a small place for kids to play like a mini indoor playground, 2 rides, small coffee shop with a horrible coffee taste but still its a nice place to bring the kids for 1-2 hours
Great fun! Ages 3-10 will really get the most out of it. Definitely a day/part of day trip.
Our boys 9 and 11 had a great time. It wasn't busy so that made it great.
Definitely overpriced for the quality and experience. I drove down from NH with my 7 year old during our school vacation week. He was excited about the new movie coming out and the experiences your website said would be happening to promote the movie. Unfortunately none of that was to be found. I was very disappointed by the entire experience. 1/3 of the cars on Merlin s ride were broken
The employees were riding the laser quest ride
The employee running the 4D movie walks in front of the screen. Many of the stamps for the fun LEGO passports were not working. The bathroom was dirty and the pipes were making a screaming noise with every flush of a toilet
The overall cleanliness of the facility left a lot to be desired. I felt like I was at a poorly run carnival. Save your money and spend it elsewhere like the Museum of Science or the New England Aquarium. I feel completely ripped off.
Great place if you are looking for something fun to do with the kiddo for a couple hours. Place is clean, staff is friendly and helpful. Only bad thing is this place gets busy and crowded.
My kids had a blast. Great staff. 4d experience was awesome
A fun place for winter! This is a excellent place up bring kids up to the age of say 13 during winter to burn off all the extra energy. The tickets can seem expensive without a Groupon but it's totally worth it. It's indoor and two floors filled with things kids can enjoy. The 2nd floor has a digital tour of the Lego manufacturing process with a short interactive session and has a ride that takes about 1min. Outside that there is a area showing all the landmarks of Boston made out of Legos. Post that is a big play area with couple of rides, a 4-d theater and play pen and most importantly a tonn of Legos. For adults accompanying the kids there is a place to get a bite to eat and coffee!
Warning: I'm sure the place very regularly cleans up the Lego pieces, but kids throw the Lego pieces around, stomp on them, drool on them and put them in their mouth. So it shouldn't surprise you if they get sick after.
My son had SPD but he has found his happy place among the bricks. The people, noises and strobes have been manageable so far!
Visited LEGOLAND today and I am so pleased on how everything went.
Unfortunately some things have changed due to COVID.
They constantly were sanitizing and making sure everything was in place.
All the employees are very friendly and helpful.
But I want to applaud and give a huge thanks to Meaghan! Thank you so much for going above and beyond during our visit. Meaghan helped us get the tools we needed to build our racing cars and was constantly making sure we were ok and other guests around us.
Thank you for the great experience and the rest of the staff! We will be back!
Good place to entertain kids on an afternoon or a morning. It is not really big but can keep kids entertained 2-3 hours. The 4D cinema experience is fun. The rides also appeals to all kids. The staff is friendly and helpful. The place is surprisingly clean and well ventilated even though it can be rather crowded in the weekends. The Boston Lego display is very cool and gives you ideas. The regular entry fee is expensive, look for coupons or sales. The annual pass is a better option if you live in the area.
A few times now I've nearly written a long winded review of this place. Instead, I'll just say this - Me, my wife, and our 5 year old son had a good time here. Younger kids and kids that love Legos will be happy spending half a day in Legoland.
My family and I went to LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Boston and we had so much fun! Right when I stepped foot inside the Boston Lego Replica Room, I was so amazed! Eventually that became my favorite room! There is 2 rides and a 4D theatre, my kids enjoyed their time playing, I enjoyed my time talking to the staff and asking them questions about the Boston Replica. Overall it is so much fun for adults and kids! I recommend you go there!
Going there in weekday will be recommended because there are not so many people. My son love this place very much.
A great place for the child Lego enthusiast. Be sure to book early online to reserve your entry time. Plenty for bricks to play with and a variety of displays. A store is at the end of the exhibit, it's officially Lego but they don't accept VIP cards. The store does have some hard to find sets.
Due to the Pandemic, it was just open for pickup. Create experience even though the whole Discovery Center was closed & just the Lego Store was open. But the whole area around looks like a very fun place to be. Note the Giant Lego Giraffe has a Protective Face Mask on. So awesome.
It is very funny and interesting place, second floor is amazing
Amazing a great place for the kids and even the adults that want to be kids.
Strictly for children unless you go on adult nights
My son got very upset because he started boat racing with a kid, but kid's father decided that he had to win the race. One of the employees (her name is Rahma) went above and beyond cheering my son up until he was a happy kid again
Interesting the first time but then is quickly becomes very boring
My son had a blast! He especially loved the shooting ride. We had fun competing in the challenge with the manager Chris. The models of Boston were amazing too. We will definitely return!
Very little to do. Gets boring quickly, not worth the jacked up price, even with coupons. Would not reccommend.
Definitely worth a visit. Good place to let kids roam a little bit as the whole place is really just 2 big rooms. Would have gotten 5 stars but they play the same music the entire time your there and it definitely starts to get under your skin. Eat before you go, the cafe is pretty pathetic!
This place is beyond shameful. Half the electronic appliances don't work, the videos at the entrance room are blurry and out of focus, and there is no air flow so it's hard to breath. There are almost no employees to help. The "creative workshop" is literally just giving kids a small bag of Lego pieces, and seating them in front of a screen that tells them exactly how to connect them to each other, while a supervisor is watching over them, visibly bored and yawning.
If I were Lego, I would revoke their license immediately. It's a shame that they use Lego's distinguished brand, for a place with such poor management and of such low quality.
-- Edit following the manager's reply: LegoLand's owners / managers have provided the same reply to every negative review here, saying how sorry they are. Thing is, I don't want their apologies. I was writing my review to reflect the way the place is being run right now, with signs of neglect all over. Words are cheap. It's easy to say you're sorry and move on. When I visit again and see that they have actually dealt with all the issues, I would love to revise my review. ---
Pre bought tickets online. They promote it saying "dont wait in line". Well they only had one line to get in for people who bought tickets already and people who needed tickets. We waited outside in the cold for 20 min. Not very organized. Also alot of things were broken and out of order.
Expensive, expensive, expensive. The food court is expensive, they say food is not allowed but if you are able to sneak food in you are better off. I paid close to 20 bucks per kid just to play in a play pin. I was hoping for more educational, informative about Lego, different rooms to visit with themes.
Great place to bring a 6 year old! They were having issues with the air conditioning, which made it very uncomfortable the first 2 rooms that you go in. Fun play area. Awesome area with cool structures built. Clean bathrooms. Two rides. One of them stopped working when we were on it and we had to walk off of it. Very busy place. Parking garage close by. No charge to park there for first 3 hours. Overall, lots of fun.
If you are planning a visit to the area this is a must stop and see fun experience for all ages. The staff here is incredible. Andrea went above and beyond expectations for customer service. Made sure myself and my family enjoyed ourselves at all times throughout our visit. There are so many things to see and do make sure you are not a on time schedule to make sure you do no have to miss anything. Your will be greeted by a smiling face from the lobby to the time you exit.
We went through just the store and they were very good with the COVID-19 restrictions, one way path though the store and they were limiting people in the store. Once in the kids were in thier happy place with lots to see and buy.
Brought the kids here and they totally had a blast. It been one great day with the kids. Just eat before you come, the prices are way too much
Great for kids ! We spent about almost 2 hours, train ride with laser gun shooting to legos on the walls, building cars, etc.
I brought my daughter here for her bday and I had the most wonderful experience even though some of the attractions were shut down due to covid the staff were still Amazing and showed how much they cared the manager pulled my daughter to the side and said since it s your birthday I would like to show you my office and showed her all of the things she created it was amazing the store employee was so informational and helped a bunch I will definitely return after Covid the interaction with my child and the staff was amazing they also gave my daughter a goody bag for her birthday I can t stress how great the experience was
Pretty disappointing. I know Lego takes pride in their attention to detail, but this attraction clearly does not share that value. Everything feels very dated and over-used. In their brochure they advertise "New for 2018: Star Wars Episode II," Which is 16 years old and the exhibits certainly look that old, I doubt the glass has ever been replaced, it's covered in scratches and there was trash and random blocks just tossed over and sitting in the middle of these otherwise dusty dioramas.
The 4D theater is a neat idea, but for the kind of 3D they're projecting on the screen, they use 2 projectors and one of the projectors has a malfunction that gives everything a yellow sheen...that you can only see with one eye. It's difficult to look at, gave me a headache.
95% of the staff is clearly phoning it in, with dead stares, no enthusiasm and not even bothering to pretend they're not reading from a script. I brought minifigs for my son to trade with the staff as suggested in the brochure but none of them felt approachable and so I was glad I kept them in my pocket and didn't tell my son about it.
Positives: The recreations of the Boston landmarks are well done and the highlight of the experience. My son and I did get some enjoyment out of the, "Build and test," race cars, and just fiddling with blocks in one of the other areas. The cafe seemed to have good but limited options (though when I asked for butter for my muffin, the guy looked at me like I had 2 heads). There's also a play area, which if you go when it's not too crowded seems pretty fun for the kids.
My 5-year old seemed to enjoy himself and we managed to spend about 90 minutes there, but it's not something I'd enjoy returning to.
Something important to know. This is the Legoland discovery center not a Lego Land amusement park. There are only two rides that come with your ticket. The third ride is an additional five dollars per ride. This is the type of place you would spend half a day. And it s geared towards kids 12 and under.
My kids had a blast and loved every second of it. The ride operators were extremely friendly. The 4D 15 minute Lego movie was a lot of fun, but unfortunately the stuff that makes it 4D was not working. No wind, rain or snow. My wife of course was happy about that but the kids were not.
There is free three hour parking in the shopping center area just west of the building. It s where there are a bunch of stores like Bed Bath and beyond. In addition to that there is a parking garage west of where the Legoland is that has free three hour parking as well.
My boys, 9 and 7 had a blast. We had a coupon for free admission for the children, which was great. My older son loved building a mosaic in the Master Builder academy. My younger son spend most of our visit playing on the playscape. The best part of the visit was getting to meet Emmet.
This place is almost so wonderful. It fills a great niche for areas that kids can run around and be creative indoors during the cold months and rainy days. The price is expensive for what it is but for local families a membership is pretty manageable.
My review is so low because they make the space a sensory assault. They pipe in repetitive, jingly music at 3 times a healthy reasonable volume. One room that could be s great quiet building space has a strobing disco ball that makes me, as an adult without sensory difficulties, nauseous and dizzy. We all get so stressed out being around all of this that we can only stay for an hour or two at a time. From the spot I'm sitting now in the main area I hear three different each too loud jingles battling each other. The Merlin's Magic ride also needs a good greasing and squeaks loudly.
That also means this space is basically completely off limits for kiddos with sensory issues. In today's world, with all the knowledge we have, I expect a company like Lego to do better than this. So many of their toys are beautifully designed to support kids' development, for all kinds of kids. Legoland absolutely can and should do better.
Great place for kids! Lots of different activities : learning , physical and just fun! The 4D movie was good TIP: sit in the high seats so you don't get as wet!
They didn't have a lot to choose from for food and it was high priced. It says you can't bring in your own food but you can bring a back pack ...food storage ;)
I believe the price is unreasonable only because they charge parents to go in to "monitor our kids! " The only things parents can do are the 2 rides which is about 3 min long and the theatre which is 15 minutes. This is in my opinion more of a play place and should only charge admission for children!
High price of admission was hard to justify given how few activities there were.
This place was amazing!! My 9 year old daughter and 8 year old son loved it and had a blast. ( so did my 30 year old boyfriend) we had a great experience and the staff was friendly and helpful. Prices were great too!
Was here a few years ago when it first opened. Like the fact that they give everybpatron a free brick and the models on display. The place is tiny though. Feel like a playatea instead of a supposed theme park
Great place for children. Very interactive and tons of fun.
Great if you have time, however not the #1 choice. Meant for families with Kidz 10 under, and the 2 rides are just ok
It was nice but small. For 5 of us we paid $130 which seems like a ton for walking through a room with built legos in it. They offered a 15 minute movie in 4D, it was fun. Bathrooms were okay, we did not eat there but they offer food and coffee which others said were over priced. Ryan was amazing when we got to the store. He wad so kind, helpful and considerate. I wish there were more employees at places like him. He offered to trade legos with the kids. It was great. He made our experience today.
Went to an adult night as a date and anniversary gift for my boyfriend. It's pretty cute. Good little pit stop for the night.
Great place for kids and adults. Interactive fun. Easy parking.
So much fun! They have rides, food, an interactive movie, souvenirs, a Lego City display, a playground and of course...LEGOS!
Took my 6 year old there for his birthday. What a great place for the whole family. Surprisingly affordable too
A fun place for winter! This is a excellent place up bring kids up to the age of say 13 during winter to burn off all the extra energy. Impressed with their covid awareness and safety precautions!
Entry price seems a little steep, but it's a great way for your Lego fan to spend a day. Parking is easy (free if I recall!) and the displays are pretty cool--Logan International looks pretty awesome when the lights dim. Until they build the Lego park here in NY it's the best we're going to get for a while. There are a few rides and a short 3D movie.
Good place for kids to play, they also have a good range of collectibles for collectors.
TIP toronto is bigger than here
A place for children to have fun and develop their motor skills.
Very cool LEGO display of Boston. Fun place for a snowy evening with the kids. Small although each area keeps the kids attention for at least an hour...or more. As a parent time can creep slowly as it s small and limited things to do. And no windows. All in all we had fun!
this place is super cool - kids love it here. the movie is pretty entertaining but, space is limited and the activities for kids can get pretty repetitive after a while. Facilities are clean here and there is on-site food. and the ride at the beginning is always a blast!
The children love Legoland. There are many things to do. It even includes an indoor ride. It has a cafeteria where you can buy a hot lunch. It's a little pricey for a large family.
I heard from others that there was very little to do and to be honest we could only spend about an hour in here before we tried everything there is to offer. We did encounter one employee that was rude and def needs training but it seems they had only person cover the 4d theater and the verticals carousel ride which was fun btw. But otherwise it feels overpriced and underwhelming as well as the only other ride the kingdom knight themed one had a broken screen and incompressible theme. I don t understand how guns and knights make sense. And the screens don t register the shots properly. Good for an hour for the kids but not super exciting unless more activities are added.
Our kids had a lot of fun there. We expected it to be larger but I won't consider that something negative. I think this would be a great place for kids birthdays.
Fun for kids if all ages, but beware: it's LOUD! All the music and videos/movies are extremely loud. My kid has some sensory sensitivity and there were some things he couldn't really enjoy due to volume. I get that the music and videos need to be loud to be heard over the noise of the patrons, but this was unnecessarily loud. Otherwise fun.
Great place to take a child and let them explore their creativity. The price is affordable and there is no time restraints.
Lots of fun. My only real issue is you have to walk directly through the gift shop to leave.
Please keep your expectations low. Yes that's right, this is and Legoland Discovery center and more like an play area for kids. You can spend min 3 hours here if you step in and much more on the crowded days.
Very few indoor rides and same building activities for kids are available. This location is at the city and you cant expect free parking unless you find some spots near Assemble row. If you want to try free parking try getting tickets in the morning session. There are always paid parking which you can find easily.
Your kids will enjoy here that's no doubt. There is an cafeteria inside this place. Free Movie theater in 4D. We had an awesome experience with the VR. You have to pay $5 for that if it is not included in your tickets but its worth the price.
You can pay personal parties here like birthday party, meetings etc., upon reservation. There is an Lego store in this place and your kids will love it.
I would say that you gets tickets when there is some discount or promotions happening and make sure you don't try to visit when it is very crowded as you will lose so much of time and you wont feel like playing in the crowd.
I would not say its a waste of time or not worth it but you can visit and a good place to be indoor.
Book online to get discount, but you have to select a 30 minute window. It's a small place but our kids were completely absorbed in the Lego racers build and test. At least four different 4D movies running, sit in the front row to avoid being soaked. Value for money if you spend the whole day there. In the area there are good restaurants to choose from to eat lunch, and then re-enter in the afternoon.
We went for my sons 4th birthday(not a party). We picked up our tickets after ordering online (very reasonably priced if not buying day of). There are 2 sections that you have to watch/activity your way out of. Was difficult for my son to focus at first but when the activity part came up it got easier(picture with the large screens). You then enter into the master builder display, which was very cool and interactive. My phone died shortly afterwards so very limited pics of play area. There is a small cafe with good salads, small(personal size) cheese pizza, the sandwiches werent that good. Play area is very large with lots of different activity centers. Can build/race your own race car, karaoke setup within the "girl" lego area(hate calling it that but cant remember the name of that line). 2 rooms off to the side with instructed building and a no-shoes climbing area. 4D movie every 15 minutes (warning you get rained on) and a ninja test thingy where you have to work your way around lasers in a narrow room(kids loved it and 4 levels). You exit into the gift shop which was not way overpriced. Found it to be comparable to the stores i go to. Ticket includes a 10% coupon as well.
Lost a star for 3 reasons. 1- the "background"music was so loud that you had to holler even if the person was next to you. You have a buiding with kids running around and it was ridiculously warm in there(multiple parents i spoke with said the same thing) and a lot of the touch screens were so worn out that you had to practically punch the screen to get it to sense you.
