My husband and I did the day and night pass. It was totally worth it to go late at night. It wasn't crowded like it was during the day.
Amazing.. Got there just after 8am and went straight to the top. Great views of NY. 1st time we have visited here but would defo go back
What a great experience to visit the Empire State Building. The last time I had been there was about 1962 when I was 10 on a school field trip. My wife has been up there about six years earlier than I. It was great to go up in that together with my wife after not having been there since we were children. We did the highest level (you have a choice of whether to go to the very top level or the lower one). There was plenty of opportunity to take photos from all directions. You are not herded through so you can take your time viewing New York City from all angles. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing this and spent a couple hours up there taking in the fantastic view. I highly recommend doing a trip to the top of the Empire State Building as a part of visiting New York City.
1st tallest building in New York. Nice views from sky gallery.
This is one of my favourite buildings in NY. We enjoy this visit a lot.
Don't miss it
First trip to the BIG apple from Houston, TX and we went up to the top 102nd floor to see New York at night and eat desserts on our 15th anniversary together (12 yrs married). It was breathtaking!! The city at night looked amazing!! I loved the trip to the 80th floor with the history of how the building was made and the pictures and videos. Very informative. The 86th floor was great too the open terrace for viewing. But it was very cold and windy up there. The 102nd floor was closed in so a lot more comfortable to view the city. You do have to pay more to see the 102nd floor. But in the end it was worth it. We don't come everyday to New York.
Joined the new Observatory Platform today on 102floor fully Glas and a 360 degree view over NYC worth the money impressive
Always The best. But be careful at 8 PM it's full of People because everyone buys the New York City pass that allows you to go 2 times the same day.
Beautiful view! Go during sunset, you ll be amazed and get awesome pictures!
Beautiful and historical high rise. They have well qurated exibition on the way to top floor.
Breathtaking view. Splurge for the Express tickets. Saved so much time.
Great experience visiting the observatory deck at the top of the Empire State Building. Loved really getting to see a 360 of the entire city (fun fact it was one of my first real jobs growing up in NYC) 1. Be sure to visit the skyride simulated tour over New York and the audio tour that they offer when you visit the observation deck. Best time to go (dead of winter when it s icy cold) quick lines... also get your tickets online before you go.
Excelent site for visit whenever you want. I aprreciate USA for the architecture that it has. I love Los Angeles, for me it's one of the best cities around the world. I love New York, I love Los Angeles, I love Washington, I love Las Vegas, I love Houston, I love Miami. I love USA, I love the world.
Tour is too short, too strict! View is obviously amazing - hello, it's NYC :)
Nice building Mr. Eiffel The best place in NYC to see it all from above !
The lines inside were extremely uncomfortable. And it was far too expensive to go to the top! I was born in Manhattan and wanted to show my children the city. There is no reason that it should have cost us almost $300! Unacceptable!
Fantastic view of the whole city. I loved the ability to walk completely around the observatory so you could see the city from all sides. definitely take time to gaze at the statue of Liberty while you are up there.
At certainly times they have the very top decks closed off for safety due to the wind and cold. Keep that in mind if you are trying to visit in the Winter.
Still upset the took my daughters balloon and didn't give us a claim check to pick it back up. a must visit if you are in New York. Close to Subway and path train stop in midtown. Expect at least an hour wait. Views are stunning day or night.
Exaggerated reputation but yeah ask questions for more, also be careful when you are buying citty pass ticket, if you don't buy correct one you can't not enter at night time as we could not. All my NY trip I been tricked absolutely by City Pass company which its the council. The tickets are so tricky.
So rich in history. Visiting the Empire State building was a great experience.
It's so scary outside the building but damn the view is amazing
Fantastic, well worth the visit! A must do once in a life time thing.
We done this tour & booked in advance on the website ahead of our trip, we also added the Lunch deal at Tacombi for an extra 20$, which included a cocktail and was well worth the 20$. it ment we had a lunch booked in advance also. Empire State Building is iconic & it was on our bucket list but we did feel a little underwhelmed. Im glad we went to the top and saw the iconic views, but at the end of the day its just another sky scraper and you can catch the same views from any rooftop bar. the elevator ride up was pretty cool as it had a video in the ceiling. if we had gone at peek tourist season with all the huge ques i would of been very upset. The fact we walked in and out with no ques made it worth the trip. i think maybe Top Of the Rock would of been better, because you actually get to see the ESB instead of being in it.
Went at about 1AM.... no lines, no wait... incredible experience. It was far better than I thought it would be. Take a coat or jacket, strong winds and COLD when we were there (April). I anticipated it being windier and colder at that altitude but it was far more so than I expected.
Cool place with astonishing views and history behind. I absolutely love how people in the US can capitalize the story and make it so entertaining.
Famous Empire State Building. Booked my ticket ahead of time, so I didn t had to wait in the line. View from the top is amazing. Once in a lifetime experience. If you re visiting NYC must visit this place .
Great view of Manhattan NYC. Quick tip: Go early when they open and avoid the chaotic lines and crowds taking turns just to take a single photo. You will have a better experience.
Well worth the time to visit. Security is strict so leave yourself an extra hour to get through, if you're visiting on a weekend. The cost to go to the top was around $50 You can get a VIP tour for around $80.
Great view without glass so you'll be able to take great shots without reflections in the pictures.
With other words, an amazing experience and a must of you visit New York.
What can one say! It is always overwhelming! Of course queues can be an issue and I recommend purchasing tickets online ahead of time, or maybe a citypass! Beside the queue, just going up in a 3d elevator is already quite fun! Once you are up there, it is simply amazing! Plus, contrarely to the One World Trade Center, at the Empire State the view is open air, so that you stand on terraces and look beyond. Bring a jacket or a cardigan!
As you would expect. Amazing views. You selected the day/ night pass...by getting there earlier in the morning meant the queues were short.
The buildings from above look like toy models. The views are breathtaking really nice. Don't recommend going right after sunset because that group will stay there for a while specially on summer.
Despite being to New York several times, This was our first time ever to Empire State Building. It was a great tour we recommend to anyone. You have some amazing views from the top observatory area and great picture settings big you want to make some great new memories this is a tour you definitely don t want to miss. The staff is absolutely wonderful. It s a must do
The view from there is just awesome.... Worth visiting and money .... Unfortunately the floor 102 is closed but 86th floor is also the tremendous.... Visit here at evening so that u can have both sun and stars view. Trust me sunset looks outstanding from here. Must visit place if you are in New York or New Jersey
Based on the ratings from other visitors, I was not disappointed at all. I would recommend it as one of the things to do when visiting New York. May be even better at night though.
Came here on a Girls Trip during Christmas. It was wonderful, there was no line and we went right up. It was very cold and windy at the top, but the view was well worth it! Gorgeous!!!
The view is even better at night. The entire city comes to life at night and that can truly be captured from the deck. A must visit at night. You can take a closer look from the fixed binoculars and that doesn't need a penny to put in. It's free for everyone.
Visit this first and you are able to see your best laid out plans. Great views, this is a must do.
Everyone should go here at least once in their life, incredible.
Very beautiful building but the security is very tight make sure you have ID no exceptions
Such a great experience. We went on a great day. Top floor was closed but still 80 floors up was breathtaking. Also the getting through everything can be a little confusing but just follow the signs and trust the process. It will lead you to the ticket booth then to elevators etc.
The Empire State Building is a 102-story[c] Art Deco skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. It was designed by Shreve, Lamb & Harmon and completed in 1931. The building has a roof height of 1,250 feet (380 m) and stands a total of 1,454 feet (443.2 m) tall, including its antenna. Its name is derived from "Empire State", the nickname of New York. The Empire State Building stood as the world's tallest building for nearly 40 years until the construction of the World Trade Center's North Tower in Lower Manhattan in late 1970. Following the September 11 attacks in 2001, it was again the tallest building in New York City until it was surpassed by the new One World Trade Center in 2012. As of 2019, the building is the seventh-tallest building in New York City, the sixth-tallest completed skyscraper in the United States, and the 45th-tallest in the world. It is also the sixth-tallest freestanding structure in the Americas.
Worst staff work here !!!OMG very rude and unprofessional people on the top of the floor ! They didn t even give a port to change my phone!! Never come back! Place was good though with nice views from top!
If you didn't have to wait at every turn of the building, especially going down, it would have been a much more enjoyable experience.
The view is what you expect. The lines, however, are spectacular. We went in the evening and it took an hour and a half to get through all the lines to get to the top. Then you get to stand in even more lines to get out. Unless you have a love of queuing, splurge and get the VIP pass.
You can go in the lobby at no charge. To go up to the observatory there is a charge. Lights on top of the building are cool and change based on events.
My friend Jack loves microwave food. He also loves bubbles and pandas but his greatest love is the empire State building. We went there together and I held his hand and he had a cry it was pretty touching really.
I really want to see the light of the city, we got here at 9:30pm and went to the top. Wow it was so very cool the moon was bright red and so lovely. I would do this at night. Very few people are here.
To get to the top probably took 10 minutes and that was because I stop to read and their was one line. We had no problem going outside and get any picture we wanted. It was lovely and the place is clean the staff is very nice, they did keep people moving alone.
Definitely better than just seeing in movies. The view from the top is magnificent. The experien e is really one of a kind. Once your in new york definitely worth the visit. Very windy and cold on the top so wearing coat and gloves is really a must. Ofcourse you should go early as the line can ve really really long with a quota for the nunber of guest per day. So come early. Or line early...
Is there something more iconic then the this building ? A must for first timers in NY
A must visit in Network..Once worlds tallest building. See the skyscraper of NYC from above
Very interesting building just because of the appearance in so many Hollywood movies.
But if'd know before how long I will stand in a line, in different levels of building, I'd rather go to another interesting sightseeing of NYC.
Disappointed because of longstanding queues.
Great history and magnificent views but the lines were ridiculously long! Be prepared to wait between 1.5-2 hours. Advisable to purchase tickets in advance and get the VIP access; otherwise, go before 11 am or after 9 pm. The day and night pass will allow you to return on the same day.
Its an awesome building, really cool to see and take some pics. We enjoyed much the stay.
The view at night was amazing and so much more mesmerizing than photos. The staff were both efficient and friendly - this is an absolute must see location for a trip to New York.
I really recommend going in off hours but if you really want to see it go up at sunset it's the place to be when the Sun goes down
The Empire State building was a little expensive. I ve read that top of the rock has the same experience for a little bit less but I m still glad that we visited. We stayed in the theater district and walk straight there on the first evening of arrival. It s a very easy walk. It s very crowded at the empire state building so I would say don t go on holidays.
We visited at about 930 at night and got a beautiful view!!
Definitely worth visiting. Go at night, avoid the lines and see NYC with lights
The observation areas are well kept and very good to look out from. The open air observation on 86th floor is very memorable and nice. Good place to tour. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the long waiting lines. I saw and heard many people expressing exhaustion from standing in the long lines. Overall it is a very nice place to visit and has no big flaws if you don't mind waiting long in a line.
Fantastic!!! A lot of fun for anyone who's exploring NYC.
One of my best experiences in NYC. Wonderful view of the city. You have to go through a little bit of security but overall it doesn't take long to get from entrance to the top. Friendly staff!
This was one of my favorite places to visit in NYC. The view of the city is spectacular.
OMG! This historic building has it all! Loved the pictures in the lobby showing "her" history. We had just left the top of the Trade Center so chose not to spend the money to go to the top.
The views are breathtaking but be ready to pay if you want to go all the way to the top floor. The whole experience was excellent, but they could do better at spacing how many people they let in at one time otherwise you end up with an elevator traffic jam and people having to use the stairwells to get from one level to the next which in my opinion is unsafe if an emergency were to take place.s are breathtaking
Its not the experience you imagine. Worths the visit, but there are some things that make the experience less beautiful. You will have to do a lot of queues to get up there, and when you finally arrive the place is FULL, you cant even move sometimes, and you have to wait to someone leaves his place to have a look at the city. And then, more queues to go down the building. So you will have to go with all your patience. And its not cheap at all, it was like 35$. Good luck.
Way over priced to go to the top and the information attendant didn't seem too happy to answer the same questions. We were not allowed access to the old lobby entrance without paying and there is renovation equipment everywhere blocking the view from the ground. Needless to say we passed on this attraction.
A beautiful view from the top of the tower, and the elevator is so much fast
I had the best time here! Visited during the night and it was amazing, not too crowded, very nice people and unforgettable views! So much history to this place, it almost made me cry
Absolutely amazing!!! It's the greatest thing I saw during my visit!
It's $40 to go up to the 86th floor . Always plenty of people but the wait is not too long staff are very to families with little ones and has stroller you can bring them but it's difficult to get around once you're up there because it gets really crowded . Bathrooms is accessible also for wheelchair and also there is changing tables for little ones.
What can you say about this famous landmark? Lines can be long, so plan ahead. I've been here a couple of times, once during the day and once at night. I think the night-time visit was the better of the two. It's easy to get to and there are many drinking and dining options nearby.
Very interesting exhibits. It's was raining and had no view. I just wish they had laminated pictures inside of the glass walls showing the view for those raining days. We were taking my daughter and her husband for their first trip. If they had pictures of the view, they could have at least had some feel of the majesty of NYC.
The views are outstanding. Get ready to pay a pretty penny for it, though.
The history..the courteous staff..the view..i mean c'mon..its the EMPIRE STATE BUILDING!!
Absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. I went up at midnight and in my opinion I thought it was the best time to see the view. No lines and only a few people and every employee was nothing but smiles and polite. Thank you for providing me the opportunity to enjoy and show respect and admiration for all of New York's historic beauty that continues to grow with each new day when a new day begins.
The building is awesome you can see a lot of history there you can feel the history there is a lot of warmth and with the guys put themselves through to make that building I just wish I was part of it I'm glad to be a New Yorker
Completely breath taking! The overall view is indescribable! i will be visiting again the next time i take a trip to New York!
If you have plans to visit, definitely think about visiting right at sunset.
Amazing views across the city. Highly recommend going during the evening as queues are minimal and its stunning seeing the city all lit up at night.
Interior is immaculate and staff very friendly.
Suggest purchasing a city pass and using for entry.
its really beautiful... fast organised civilised city... really wish i could live here... very clean and convenient
