A must see place! We went there at night so no queue at all! Price is expensive (36$ per person) even for the floor 86th. View was great, explanations about the construction of this amazing building were good as well.
I've heard it doesn't worth paying 20$ more per ticket for the floor 102nd.

Wow! I have been to New York many times but have not seen it from this perspective! If you get cold, rug up. It s pretty chilly up there even with the heaters. The staff were wonderful and made the experience even better.

We had a really good time visiting the Empire State Building. The line started out long but it moves fairly quickly. We had a great time traveling to the top. We caught the elevator to the 80th floor and walked up to the 86th floor. We were worn out but it was great.

Undeniably amazing experience. But I wouldn't suggest getting a ticket to the top floor. For an extra $20, it doesn't provide any outside area, and the staff doesn't seem to keep up with wiping off the fingerprints on the windows. You can see everything perfectly from the 86th floor, and your pictures will turn out better there. Save your money for the taxi ride or food you need later!

The view from the top of the most famous building in the world doesn't disappoint even a bit. We only went to 86th floor but I think it's enough! We went on 1st January around 5:30 pm got a really good night view. Although it was pretty crowded and it took us about 2:30 hours to complete the total tour but I think it was worth it. It's a must see if you are visiting NY.

Nice. Once tallest building in the world, but there are more taller buildings in China and Arab world. No big deal. The building it self does not mean something, than the designers who were so creative, and innovative, and so brave enough to adopt new technology and theory. Amazing engineering advancements achieved almost 80 years ago.

Great views from the centre of everything in the city and great to see at night and bonus of far less people and short queues. Way over priced and extra $20 for extra few floors is not worth it once you're up there, as looks the same as previous level, except closed in. So don't pay extra for 102nd floor.

They only give military discounts If you're active duty so bring your ID. But If you're not, like myself...they still gave us a discount.

It was very crowded but the lines move very fast to get to the 80th floor. If you're ok to walk up 6 flights of stairs to get to the 86th, you can by pass the lines to get to the observation deck from the 80th floor.

Overall we had a great experience, some of the staff were helpful and friendly. However, the older lady @ the observation deck was rude!

We were about to read the sign to find the exit but she yelled out, "Read the sign, exit is that way!" and she hit the exit several times! Relax old lady! Without us, you wouldn't be working at a tourist destination!

Well if you give the tourists a chance to read the signs and not be pushy, impatient and rude, we would find our way!

Anyway, the views were spectacular!

It was an awesome experience. The Staff are well trained and the system set in place organized..The view was amazing!!. And as we accended to our destination in the Empire State Building you had interactive and informative areas with multiple photo opportunities and so much more Please Bring a better quality device to capture this experience than I did.

Very well lay out depicting the history and glory of such an iconic building. Fitting enough, the workers from security check in to the elevator attendees to the photo shop area.... really, really professional mentality and mindset.

Mixed feelings about this one. It's one of those places that are great to visit and you will enjoy it very much but only one time. The view from the top is fantastic you can pretty much see the entire Island. Just make sure you go on a clear day so you can see further out. Overall a great Landmark to visit in your lifetime.

Quite expensive to go up although view is better at top of the rock. Line ups long to see. Great pictures framed and small Empire State Building to take pictures with before you head up in line. Hard to find entrance, need more signs.

Beware that the 86th floor observatory is outdoor! It gave me the creaps first, but got used to it. It makes the view unobstructed and great though! And a very different experience from One World Trade Center - so I recommend both. Everybody gets access to the 80th floor, which in addition to the view through windows (only worth it if it's cold or something) has a small exhibition and a shop. I suggest reading what you're interested in and head straight up to 86th. You need to pay extra to go further up. Also, the interior is majestic and nice and the employees are dressed nice. Cool in itself.

When you think about this being built in 1931 and in only 1 year 45 days (4 floors a week) the tower is pretty amazing. It was also the tallest building in the world for quite some time. Add to that after the second world war a b-25 bomber plane ran into the tower only damaging two floors... wow.

If you looked upon it today it might not be considered too impressive against all of the other tall buildings out there. But make sure you look at this wonder with the lens of it being built in 1931 and how quickly it was built.

One of the tallest buildings in the city. I started counting the number of floors it has and I missed the count almost 10 times. A huge, massive one and a great sight for all the spectators coming from different parts of the world. Wonderfully constructed and must visit place apart from the world trade center just to see the magnificent monster standing so high!!

Kinda pricey to go to the top, more of a "so I can say I did it" type attraction. Good views of the city, but super crowded as you'd expect. Binocular machines charge by quarters, so I guess bring those if that's your thing. Some small museum type exhibits on the way up detailing the building of the ESB.

Expensive and crowded, which is pretty representative of most of the city. The people outside trying to sell the passes to multiple tourist attractions are incredibly rude and almost enough of a deterrent for me to not want to go into the ESB. It was fun to do once and if you haven't done it before then I would recommend it, but I'm not going back.

Was kind of sceptical about visiting especially for the price, but it was totally worth the hype the Empire State Building is something you have to see in NYC and the view is memorable totally worth it ! The pictures too were touched up and looked great , the tour had a lot of interesting facts about the building which made the wait to the top pretty pleasant . Strongly recommend going at night!!

Second time in 15 years that I enjoyed the great views. The handling of the visitors (buying tickets, security check) has been improved substantially, we were very quickly on the 80th floor. We didn't have a Skip the line ticket, and we didn't miss it. Stating the obvious: if you stay more than one day in New York is advisable to check on which day you have a good view, no low hanging clouds. On Google maps you can see at which times it is less busy.

What can I say that hasn't already been said about this New York City icon. Very beautiful decor - so very clean and shiny. We went to the 102nd floor (extra charge to tour - that you can purchase on the 86th floor.) Either observation deck is worth the view. I just wanted to go to the 102nd floor - which is much smaller and is enclosed. It is not like the 86th floor. You can go outside and feel the breeze and sunshine on the 86th floor. Both floors are FUN to visit. Just do it if you have the chance!!

How can you not love the most iconic building in New York City's history? The Empire State Building has been a constant in New York's ever changing vibrant life and to view all of that from the top builds you up with a sense of happiness that can only be felt in person. When you visit, and you should, take the time to see the city in all the directions. Peer through one of the binoculars too see the reach of the magnanimous city below.

When in New York, do like a tourist and visit this iconic piece of architecture and engineering marvel, views are beyond this world, make sure you pick a nice clear day so you can get the best views. 102 floors, 1,250 feet tall, 1,454 to tip, incredible this was finished in 1931, the Big Apple wouldn't be the same without it

Empire State Building is one of Manhattan's top spots to visit. From the immaculate entrance to the iconic rooftop views of the entire city. Visiting this iconic building is a must do, if you don't visit the rooftop you have not seen Manhattan. Panoramic views from each side of the building are breathtaking. The pictures and experience are once in a lifetime, there is no city like New York and the views can't be replicated anywhere.

Excellent experience. We visited twice in one day (part of our CityPass). Morning was crowded but the process to get to the elevator and to the top was fun with all the exhibits on the 2nd floor. Evening (after 8pm) was not crowded at all. It was beautiful to see the city lit up. Definitely would recommend!

Well the view is a 5 star but the extremely long lines and the staffs un professionalism takes it down. Also WTF with making people climb 6 stories to reach the observation deck.
Management should learn how to run the tower by seeking advise from a similar Chicago attraction.

Incredible views. It sounds lame, but the first time I ever went here and looked over the city at night it literally felt like magic. I've been here a couple times but only at night, so if you have only been in the daytime, I definitely recommend coming when it's dark out as well. It's pretty pricey to get up there, but something I think everyone should do at least once in their lifetime! It's also really cool how many travelers from all over the world are visiting at any given moment--you'll hear so many different languages being spoken all around you at once!

Yes it is one of the most touristic places in NYC, but it is for a reason, the view and the experience is amazing. When i say the experience, if you minus the line and the waiting time, but you do take few minutes to look and read the info about how this place was built, in days when they did not have even half of the tools we have today, you just feel that you have so much respect for the people who built it, and the experience of visiting the building become much more special.

the view is no less than amazing, and if you have guests, this is a must on the list, they will not forget this place so quick..
