This castle was believed to be one of the most beautiful castles in the world at a time. Though its small in size it is indeed very beautiful. There is a moat surrounding castle and you can take boat ride in that.
Castle staff welcomes you with honey wine.
It is surrounded by a golf course and looks beautiful.
The garden of the castle is very beautiful as well and there is a maze too.
They allow offices to have conferences etc and also host birthday parties and weddings

Beautiful place to go, lovely gardens and walks with plenty to see. The castle itself is well run and almost is on par with a National Trust site for presenting its historical knowledge.

I've been to a fire works display here before, last year, and it was fantastic, with the food from all the independent food vans/stalls amazing.

There is plenty on site, falconry displays, tours and a decent play ground for the little ones, I'd recommend looking online at all their events as well as they put on a lot over the year.

A very lovely castle with great gardens and surroundings. Only down side is the every costly entrance fee. As a one time holiday visitor a yearly ticket with unlimted access is no good to me.

Nice castle and beautiful garden. The price is a little bit too high for tourists- the tickets are valid for one entire year but you can t just get a cheaper ticket for visiting a few hours. Unfortunately the toilet facilities are not really clean and smell bad..

We've now been twice to Leeds castle and it's a lovely day out. Especially if you have young children. Falconry, history, wild birds, loads of green spaces and lovely staff. The medieval festival over the bank holiday was really good to for its sheer size and variety.

Plus point: Free car park.

Plus point: Free car park.
Negative: Queued for 1.5hrs to get into the floral festival. Staff were very nice but the entry system is flawed to say the least. I work at LGW and people start to get very agitated if they are held in queues for more than a few minutes!
The entry fee is steep, although it does allow for entry for 1 year....not that I will be going there anytime soon after this experience.
The price of refreshments is also astonishing. My advice would be to take your own food/drink with you and find a quiet spot down by one of the lakes.
So much more could be achieved here, along the lines of the interesting falconry show, where you have an 'up close and personal' view of the birds.
Overall: Could/should do better.

Nice place to see. The queues to go inside the grounds are not too bad if you bought the ticket online. The queues to go inside the castle itself are terrible. We went inside the castle at around 4 pm but you still had to wait 45 minutes. We enjoyed very much the Maze where we spent over an hour, trying to understand it and we did it 2 or 3 times. We had a nice fish and chips. Not expensive, the only unfortunate thing is that they give you wooden forks, they are useless to actually do anything even to pick up the chips. All in all nice but they could do something about the queues maybe limit the amount of people that can go in. It does become tiring to stand up for over 2, 3 hours just for the queues and going through the castles rooms etc.

A great day out for everyone. Picturesque walk from the car park to the castle and gardens. A fun play area for the kids, plenty of areas where you can sit and have a picnic and if you fancying getting lost there is a maze!!

The gardens are beautiful, even in the winter. The grotto is lovely, but we were a bit disappointed with the castle. It's not as good as Ever and entry is more expensive. We enjoyed the day out though.

Lovely grounds to walk around, a fine castle with lots of interesting things to look at throughout. Entry maybe a bit pricey but they seem to have plenty of things going on, helpful knowledgeable staff, and the tickets are re-usable for a year which is great, wouldn't mind going back it's a great day out.

Went for motors by the Moat for the third time, the show is set in beautiful grounds with lots of different types of cars to look at. A small something for everyone. It's not the best car show in the world but it certainly isn't the worst. Would recommend for a chilled out day, also good for non petrol heads.

We traveled from Folkestone to Hollingbourne which is an unmanned station. We walked from there to Leeds Castle but it was a bit difficult because of no proper pavements and crossings were nonexistent. There were no directions but we were saved by a dog walker. However we had an amazing day and there was so much to see and to do. There are several parking areas and disabled parking areas which are nearer to the ticket offices and the entrance to the castle grounds. There are wheelchairs if needed and there is a land train that one can use, if tired, but there may be an extra cost on your fee.
There was a Christmas Market and we were spoilt for choices but we particularly liked the curry spices, chutneys, Christmas Puddings and the handmade goods.
We toured around the castle which was beautifully decorated with numerous Christmas trees, floral garlands and special themes relating to Paddington Bear, Sleeping Beauty and the Nutcracker Suite, etc. The children had a lot of fun with the rides and I certainly wanted to have a ride on the carousel!
Just a word of advice, when travelling by train, depending on your location, the nearest station may be Bearstead. Some people may find the entrance fee expensive but your ticked lasts a year. So take a picnic when the weather is warmer and really explore! Bearsted Station apparently is the Leeds Castle station stop.
I visited the Flower Festival yesterday which was absolutely amazing. However there were so many people, which is great for the event, but it involved waiting some time. However it was worth it but one just wished that you did not have to rush. But at the end of the day it was nice to see some of the beautiful blossoms and to share this time with other people.

This really is the loviest castle in the world. We went on a beautiful day and couldn't have had a better experience. Not too expensive and the wildlife was great, fed some ducks out of my hand, great for kids!

Beautiful! Visited a little by chance! Moving on the bike we saw the signs and, considering that we could not just grind miles and then say "we were in GB !!" having seen nothing, we said to ourselves, "why not?" Assuming always that they are selling a product, I admit that I was pleased to be a victim of the seller who gave me what I was looking for! Including the w.c., which after a few hours in motion ... ! Interesting the story and the visit inside the castle, where you can feel, despite the restyling suffered in the different eras crossed, that the luxury of the primordial era of the castle would now be uncomfortable, let alone how the miserable lived! It was worth it!

Absolutely brilliant place for a family and groups of friends lots of food and drinks to choose from but highly priced so I would advise to take your own, entertainment before and after fireworks plenty of things for kids to be doing, Maze, bird display and a few kids rides. The fireworks themself are truly amazing and worth the ticket price.

Leeds Castle is always an amazing day out, we have an annual ticket. The kids can just run freely and safely, there's loads to do and now with the new crazy golf, the kids are even more interested in returning again and again. Always a fun filled day out

Beautiful castle! Lots of playing spaces for kids (located outside on the castle grounds, so only for dry/sunny weather).
Tickets aren't cheap, although they give you access for a whole year... That's not so useful if you're visiting just once, on vacation, and living (very) far away from the castle.
Anyway we had a great time at Leeds Castle!

FYI: the castle is quite accessible to people with disabilities/wheelchairs as well.

Leeds Castle is lovely, but it is no lovelier than the numerous National Trust or English Heritage properties in the area. At just under fifty pounds for two people, plus extra charges for audio guides, mobility transport, it was poor value for money.
The atmosphere is reduced by being unable to escape loud music and sales speak from the conferences.Exhibitions are perfunctory, and seem secondary to the numerous money spinning opportunities.
Money would be better spent on NT membership. Don't waste it lining greedy pockets.
