Beautiful grounds ... looking forward to visiting the castle again
A lovely castle . It was a nice visit to Leeds castle in October. Staff in the castle were really informative and friendly.
Beautiful castle and grounds to visit during summer and spring. Carry a umbrella when you visit. Parking is free. The day pass can be converted to season pass for free at the reception. The ground have beautiful gardens and couple of lakes. The castle has a moat and looks medieval. Accessibility for people with special needs is excellent but first floor didn't have a lift. The staff are helpful and curtious. The castle is a long walk from the gate. But there is a mini train which transports people to the castle for a nominal fee. There are few attractions firvtge kids and a souvinier shop.
A history of outrageous privelige & an epitome of who you know to get on maybe but an almost perfect venue to see a band, take a Sunday picnic or take a walk & talk with a new girlfriend. Don't buy anything as the prices in any of the cafes are, by a long measure extortionate ! !
Great for walking about a castle. Photography permitted throughout. Kid friendly. Lots of parking.
Great day out plenty to see for all the family, they are always having special weekends hope to go again.
Magical place, beautiful setting. Well worth a visit
We visited today on a school trip with my daughter and her classmates - it is a great day out, with a castle tour to start with and then a brilliant educational 'play' with the kids after lunch....
Highly recommended!
Best castle so far, there is a lot more than just a castle
Amazing food beautiful view of the castle x perfect evening
Really enjoyable day. Grounds and Gardens are spectacular, Castle is very well maintained, staff are very friendly and approachable. Would recommend if in the area.
Very light rain perfect weather for viewing castle and grounds.
Visited this superb attraction yesterday. Despite it being the school holidays albeit right at the beginning the road train from the car park to the castle was not running due to maintenance. Why wasn't this maintenance done last week. It is a long way for a young children to walk (and for the older ones too). We had brought a picnic but decided to leave it in the car so therefore 2 of us had to walk back to the car to collect it. This meant that I personally had to do the journey 4 times in 29 degrees of heat.
However the weather was wonderful and the venue attractive and interesting even if a little pricey.
Lovely castle to visit. There was a lot of interesting history behind the castle, and there was a lot to see and do. The birds that live on the grounds were great fun to watch, and the hedge maze wasn't too difficult, but still a good time. There was a flower festival when we went and the whole castle was done up with flower arrangements and it was absolutely stunning.
We've been coming here for years and always have a great time. The spotter's trail round the castle makes it fun for kids. The road train and the boat (in summer) are fun.
Great day out. Lovely castle and grounds. If anyone finds the ladybird brass rubbing let me know where it was please
This is amazing day out there is so much to do for both adults and children. The grounds are beautiful amd the inside of the castle is amazing. The only reason it wasn't 5 star is because it's massively expensive so I'd advice anyone who wants to go for the day to bring a packed lunch.
In a sumptuous garden you will find a beautiful castle with a very warm staff.
Fabulous evening with classical music, spitfire flyover and spectacular fireworks
Absolutely loved it! We purchased a freedom pass which last for a year and a day from purchase date. It gives you free access to boat and mini train for the duration of your ticket. We also saw a falconry display and my son loved the large small kids play area.
Great for a day out.
Beautiful location and great place for the Philharmonic orchestra and Film nights
A lovely castle Its gardens, the labyrinth, the grotto and, of course, the interior. A bit expensive even if you get tickets in advance.
Enjoyable. Kids liked the new play area. Didn t like the expensive, limited menu. Castle is nice but I ve seen better. Doesn t quite match the hype. Other, more modest castles are superior and more reasonably priced. Would recommend to a friend, but I doubt I ll be back.
Brilliant day out market was good and then to have a lovely roast dinner
This is a beautiful place, has falconry, inside impressive but could do with better commentary. Wished I taken the audio set to listen to as I walked around inside castle. You can but Bird feed for the birds. Good photo opportunities. Food good in one of the restaurants we had eaten in. Wished I had been able to spend longer enjoying the birds of prey. If you can't duck like me be prepared to be buzzed by them, claws combed my hair, on fly by overhead. :)
Lovely day out, with stunning views. Lots of walking but not too hilly and a good path all the way round. We went just after lockdown so the castle was closed and the restaurant restricted. No bird shows either. Saying that we had a picnic with a gorgeous view of the lake, and an ice cream and cold drinks over near the crazy golf. Crazy golf was also lots of fun a really new looking course.
Gorgeous castle stunning views. Well worth a visit.
Very nice well maintained and you can certainly enjoy a few hours
Very atmospheric place. Worth visiting even cold times as the territory is absolutely lovely.. You could spend the whole day wandering there .
Magical place. Loved the massive garden space and fun maze.
What a magical place!
The main entrance was covered due to being on restoration but there was still so much beauty and history in every room and gardens! A wonderful experience.
This place it's beautiful. It's great to go there for s day out with kids/family
Nice retreat and activities. All it needs is a spa.
What lovely castle. Lovely gardens to walk through. A great day
Anyone who can do it at least once should visit here. The environment is very nice and cozy. The ticket is valid for one year. We'll be back again.
Had a superb day out, we were looking forward to seeing the wildlife, particularly the Peacocks, all gone now, such a shame..
Went to a wedding and stayed two nights
It was absolutely fantastic.
Had a great day at Leeds Castle, Lovely grounds, nicest I've ever seen.
Loved it. Well kept. Tour guide briefly explain the history to you. Amazing landscape. Not too crowded.
Very beautifully situated castle, just a pity that you are almost looked away at closing time.
A really fun day out in the sunshine! lots of walking though so if you have many small children or are disabled it might be difficult with the steps and hills. But they do run a castle train to make it easier to get around this! I believe More
Lovely place well organised very good for kids day out
Wow!!! What more can I say... The castle is splendid and set in the most glorious grounds which took my breath away. Good for all ages. Super falconry display, get lost in the maze and explore the grotto. Just a lovely place to enjoy a great day out, especially if you are blessed with good weather.
One of the most Picturesque places i have been to. It is so well looked after, friendly staff and lots to do it is a full day out!! And even then you might not get to squeeze in everything that's in offer.
Nice updated castle. What you might expect a castle to look like if it had been updated through the years and lived in, well, because it was.
Having just arrived home from Leeds Castle after celebrating the 80th birtday of my sister in law with all the family members. All the staff were very helpful and prepared to help out with any requests. Service was second to none. A wonderful day made special. Thanks to all the staff on duty
Beautiful gardens, love the maze and dog collar collection!
Great place for the whole family. Historic site, fun for kids of all ages.
Historic castle and neatly organized english gardens!
Beautiful Long walk ....Calm Water flowing....Beautiful Birds Surrounding and Standing in the Midle with Majestic Look 'Leeds Castle '...good for day out walk and picnics
It's a good family day out. Quite expensive though and a lot of walking around.
Great day out for the family. If you have young children, there is so much to do. Train ride from the car park to the castle, boat ride across the lake, huge maze, 2 playgrounds, mini golf, falconry... And that's all in addition to the impressive castle!
Beautiful gardens and amazing castle. You must see the library and dinning hall in the castle.
The Butcher's Arms classic car club would like to thank all the members of staff and all the visitors that made Motors by the Moat a fantastic weekend. Fun had by all.
Thank you
Beautiful 900 year old castle with glorious grounds. Bit disappointed by what you could see in the actual castle, no kitchen or service rooms. Would go back to stroll around the outside!
Lovely spot, great grounds, loads to do and see. Great day out.
We went on the bank holiday Monday, obviously there was quite a few people there but we still had a very good day wondering around the grounds, going into all the attractions which there are loads. The wildlife that is there is numerous especially the ducks and the swans of all different breeds. There was a little tented encampment where the children could do colouring in, playing musical instruments, making bracelets and all manner of things. No I mustn't forget the maze you must try that. And, to top it off the tickets you buy on that day last the whole year so you can go again whenever you want to for that year. I must not forget the castle itself, full of History and learning.
Beautiful grounds leading up to the castle. So well maintained. Lots of info during walk through the various rooms internally.
A truly English castle, one of the most beautiful. Spend the day exploring g history and gardens, watching bird of prey flying g displays and feed the birds. The only place I have been able.to feed the black swans! Come for a day, come back all year! Make sure there is.plenty of space on your camera card, lots of photos to take!
Enjoyed the whole experience. Great and interesting place to visit.
Enjoyed the firework display but other entertainment was disappointing.
