I am a proud UCDSB graduate and now work related to the Board. Through efficient leadership and administration and a organizational culture of learning and caring for all, students are achieving amazing things!
Good teachers although I do agree with some other reviews saying that they don't care about you or your children they only care about themselves. I speak from experience as a current student at one of their school's. But what really annoys me is that currently I am doing a history project on british Home children and the school board's wifi policies have banned most of the sources for that project. It's the same thing with my other classmates one who wants to do one on viola Desmond the school board has blocked the sources on that too. THEY NEED TO CHANGE THEIR WAYS!
Anybody who has given 5 stars to this horrific mess of a school board clearly has some research to do. This school board lied to students, parents, and teachers in order to fulfil their hidden agenda of creating mega schools. Due to the UCDSB's fine leadership, our township has lost one of its greatest assets, our only Secondary School. Their relentless attack on rural education has made life so much harder for students and their anti-democratic approach to scrutiny proves to me this school board has nobody's interests at heart. In response to the 5 star comment that was posted a few weeks ago, if this school board truly cared about the well being of children with special needs, they wouldn't have voted to close down the only school in our area. There were many students who did have learning disabilities and even autism that attended the school and dragging them out to another school that doesn't have the resources to deal with them isn't helping anybody. The UCDSB is exactly why school boards should be abolished in this province, they never make the right decisions.
They closed down an amazing school and shoved students into a school where we aren't wanted by the students and some of the teachers, a lot of bullying has happened which doesn't get dealt with and a lot of our grades have went down sense we can't get the help we need. They have ruined a lot of our futures. But all they care about is money and themselves. They never cared about the students from the beginning.
This school is no fun at all, Mr. Cole the so called "Principal", is the worst thing to ever happen #NoMoreCole
I dont understand the hate that it gets. What a failing school got shut down? Its nice here! Good people, M O S T L Y good teachers and not stupid rules. Again MOSTLY. We also get tought really well so we arent stupid unlike Castlefrank. And the rest is just Perfect! To those that say "OhH tHiS pLaCe dUsNt KaRe BuT YoR KyDs!" Well you people can shut up cause here is a very nice place!
