Le Mezzo (Bar) Review

It's always a pleasure to go to the mezzo. The music is cool, the people and the bartenders are super nice. I recommend a thousand times if you want to spend a wonderful evening;)

Nice bar-club in the lively district of St-Gery, we went there 2 evenings (Thursday and Saturday). It is true that there are a lot of people on the dance floor and that it is therefore difficult to find a place there but top music and good atmosphere !! And reasonably priced drinks.

Nice bar near Bourse. They have happy hour on cocktails (2 for 1) till 10PM. Also has a dance floor (small) inside. Good crowd. Not excessively touristy. Drinks are reasonably priced. Also have an outdoor sitting area. Door policy may apply during late weekend evenings

The porter who comes to put the pressure to leave at 22h while I had ordered a new drink with a friend. Or if not again the Mezzo was EMPTY and the porter has failed just to recalibrate .. I think the manager of this box would better focus on this point, there will be more profitability and especially a better picture

Seemed okay staff was night. Was a Wednesday night, and the place was packed. Too many dick drunk guys trying to get girls to dance. Ladies: bring a friend or 4. Service was fine, music a bit too look loud.

My sister-in-law is working and doing a great job I recommend for the atmosphere and the welcome thank you!

I was there in July , meeting some friends that were already sitting outside. When I tried to get inside to buy a beer the bar's responsible person at the door told me that there was a private party inside and that I can't enter. The bar inside was almost empty. I told him that I just want to but a beer but still he didn't allow me to go inside. Only when some friends of mine explained to him that I was with them he allowed me to go inside. Very rude people , awful service.

Bit of a generic night club. However was packed with the usual dancing crowd.

We were 7boys and 7girls. The bouncers invented weird excuses to not let people in. Coincidentally, in fact, they didn't let enter two maroccan guys in our group. After this, we all left the place and we will not come back.

These are not great cocktails but they are good, a tad too sweet but considering the price we will not say anything it is a very good value for money

Pretty box standard bar with very little character. Standard bottled pils is Maes, says enough. Astonishingly they still charge money for the toilets, which I find unbelieveable for any bar. The bar staff was friendly though. Still would not recommend it

Sectarian guardians see racist, incompetent and rude staff, apart from that there is a good value for money, the clientele is very very very young, and the bar becomes a real sardine tin on Fridays and Saturdays .. Impossible to do anything without pushing someone ...

Place to avoid if you want to spend a good evening!

Order of two gins, a double dose served not requested, refusal to pay while remaining polite and sorry for the misunderstanding, the offended waitress blithely insulted us, and forbade the other servers to serve us for the rest of the evening, for sympathy we will iron this lady, otherwise the smoking room was nice, and we could have confidence leaving our stuff in the locker room!

Happy hour pay 1 cocktail get 2 , from 15 h till 20 h

Great atmosphere and their strawberry mojito are super good

Friendly bar to relax or party with friends on a Friday or a Saturday evening!

Small space that quickly becomes full but the dance floor is nice, although the playlist is not always famous.

Bue place for cocktails 2 x 8 in happy hour until 10 p.m.

Worst place ever, the guards are very rude and the owner is very aggressive. I am not recommending this place to anyone!

Exactly the same as below, we werz drinking and chilling when some dude kicked one of my friend out and broke his nose. No reason, I was covered is his blood and the bouncer told me not to call the cops "please".
They should close down this place.

Banal bar with no real interest. Simplistic decoration, not to say sad. Their Grimbergen is really drinkable and foul. Go your way there are plenty of others in the neighborhood that are really worth it.

The bartender super nice especially a brown hair brown long brown and a big black often with cap on the head very competent and a server named ishak who manages the room as it should be brief is seci that I wanted to return labas quite often and of course that say happy hour from 15 to 22 hours every day a cocktail buy a free and a cocktail card that has so many choices that you never get tired short i went for a ride there mntn his ma thirst describe lol good tasting I highly recommend to everyone

good for wednesdays and the weekend , if you are an expat wednesday is the best day to go

Very spacy bar .. happy hour good idea shame the cocktails very badr quality .. for the price staff not very interactive with the customers .. I dripped a pinacolada it seemed to water

Their happy hour is pretty much my favorite thing to do in Brussels when it's nice weather. Everyday from 15h to 22h one plus one cocktail for free!

The place they are nice but when you arrive you are always checked (to know if you are Belgian or foreign) and then they will put you on the table while waiting for the service which is of poor quality. The staff walk past you and don't even ask you if you've already ordered. But hey, there are those who will judge and say: (Ah, but maybe the bar was bandaged) the answer is: No, the bar was not bandaged! It's just that the staff don't really have the desire to take care of all the customers. For the Menu ?! Ah, you must have internet on your mobile, to have access to the list of all the drinks or services of the bar.

During week a lot of event Spanish and international, drink have not much alcohol but price good for Bruxelles average

It's your standard enough pub. We popped in as we seen seats in the window. There was a limited selection of drinks and we had to wait a while to get served which was strange considered it was quiet. The tables and chairs felt sticky and uncomfortable.

Big disappointment for one of my favorite bars !! We spent a pleasant evening with my friends and my husband last night, when one of the porters annoyed my husband at the bar when he ordered for the third time. I thank the barmaid for being on our side against the stupidity of the porter. Unfortunately the disrespect repugnant me, I will not put a foot.

I do not have anything against the establishment itself, I have nothing to say all is top. But the reputation of it, it makes the entrance to the exit and the sorry to say that but the so-called porter (with no visible identification card, the small North African) makes control at all goes. From 1: I was there a month ago for a bachelorette party (so with a group) He refuses me access because he thought I was not with (after assistance leaves me back with the group). From 2, A week ago, I went back with 3 friends on a Monday so in the middle of the week when there can be many people, The same thing refuses us access. The reason? We are not accompanied so-called, while the bar was half empty at 22:30 .. And 3 last night, August 11, 2018 around 21:45, with two friends, We made the happy hour so already to the inside. We consomme and again the same, come back and told us: If at 22h we are not accompanied he will put us out. . So here is abuse of power or I do not know but he abused!

Sexist bouncers, sticky floors and bad music. Stays open until early in the morning, but not really worth it.

Bar empty or packed (never in between), bartenders "forget" some cocktail ingredients, toilets are dirty (and pay even if you consume!)

They do or don t let people in based on their ethnicity

I will be sincere: during happy hours: they don't know how to make cocktails, I hope that a baman comes after but we did not stay to check.

The service is bad, the atmosphere is zero.
The guards are taken for I do not know who a black devans with his card and another card without a walk in the bar. Music anything.
The black work at Media Markt is nice while when you give him money he does not let you in the Bar it's a shame. Good fun to you really anything next time I call Police thanks.

This bar is pretty cool, the happy hour is between 15h and 22h and it's 2 cocktails for the price of one!
In addition, the atmosphere is relaxed, the bar is big and the music is very nice (American rap, latino, commercial music remixes ... The dancefloor is always on fire!) Most of them are students between 17 and 25 years I would say who go there and it is right behind the MacDo has purse.

It's not too my style to say bad things about a place the bar is great the atmosphere is there but you must absolutely see your doormen because super unpleasant

Racists. I (Dutch girl) went there on Saturday night 30th of June 2018 with my boyfriend and two of his friends (all Arabic) and the guy at the door (black guy) refused and literally said 'not those three'. I have never ever experienced that with my Belgian white male friends. I was so mad and still am disgusted that this happened and that I live in the street next to Mezzzo. I will never ever go there again and discourage everybody to go there. We went to Bar des Amis instead and had a great time. We are so lucky to live in a city with such diversity, embrace it. A bit of kindness will make all our lives greater.

Usually the only place to dance around Pl. Saint-Gery but full of aggressive guys and staff. Make sure to check your coat and pockets.

Good music for the new year, good dj. But too small for the world that is accepted inside!
