Very nice hotel. Good location, beautiful views from the balcony of the room, 24-hour lounge, spa, gym, pool ... moreover, two pools - another one on the roof of the building. All this make your vacation unforgettable!

Thank goodness this place is closing for refurbishment on Oct 1. It's old. Really old. Service is excellent and location is superb. So once they've completed refurbishment in summer 2018 come back with confidence and stay at what will be a Marriott.

I don't think this hotel deserves its 5 star rating. It's not terrible, but it's not a comfortable place to be right now (I'm typing this from my room). The 'air conditioning' is a hotel-wide system, and right now (mid March) it's set to heating rather than cooling. The room is too warm for my tastes. The only way to cool it is to leave the door to the balcony open and hope nobody wanders in during the night.

Unfortunately for me, there's a concert going on somewhere near by. It's noisy and getting noisier. This and other niggles have left me wishing I'd booked the Hilton instead.

One of the reasons we chose this Hotel was for the spa, but on arrival we discovered it's closed. Happily it opens tomorrow.

Beautiful Hotel!!

Beautiful Hotel!!
Amazing Staff!!
Awesome Stay!!

Me and my friend were treated extremely well during our stay.
Everyone was very warm and easygoing.
We had no issues or complaints and only had a great experience.

I Definitely Recommend staying here if your looking for a place in Malta.

We've organized a conference here, sales department was semi flexible, they've charged us for the smallest things, rooms weren't set exactly as we asked for. However, introducing changes with technical people was very comfortable and quick. Conference rooms didn't have windows and it wasn't easy to set right temperature. Photo presents view from the terrace, which was really relaxing :)

It's a very big hotel with long corridors. Rooms are alright, but some rooms are with a view on the wall and we had to pay a lot more to get a room with a sea-view and it was not a hight season. The restaurant on the bottom floor is very nice. The breakfast is very good.

Very good hotel 5 *

Very good hotel 5 *
We stayed here for a week at the end of May with half board. The luxury rooms with sea view are spacious, with terrace, bathroom with bath and shower, bathrobes, kettle.
The indoor pool is beautiful, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, accessible from 6h to 22h. Pool with solarium and bar on the 12th floor.
The gym is very well equipped, also available free of charge to the occupants of the hotel.
The breakfasts are very well stocked, and the dinners at the restaurant Taro worthy of a gastronomic.
The walk by the sea is very nice and offers many bars and restaurants. Access to Valletta is fast, by taxi or bus
... we do not see negatives to mention .. a very good week in Malta

What to say apart ... Wow! An incredible place! Remember to visit the pool and the rooftop bar ... but also the spa and swimming pool on the second floor. Listen to the piano bar in the evening and enjoy ... a tourist agency or help free on the ground floor for the organization of your visits!

I am regular at the gym for squash. Reception is very friendly and helpful and follows the covid protocol. The changing rooms are spacious and very clean. Only the squash court need a bit of maintenance. But overall very good. Looking always forward to go there.

Very classy hotel, worthy of a movie, staff very helpful and smiling, heated pool but a little cold at this time .. the door of our room rubs the floor and does not close itself, restaurant top, breakfast very complete , some default here and there, not bad but limit for a 5 star hotel .. where my 3 stars.

A five-star, standardized holiday, which will soon change brand. Well put. The rooms are spacious, functional and comfortable, but the place is soulless. The outdoor pool has a nice view, but is not large. Fairly good value for money for Malta.

Great spot, the hotel is ideally placed between St Julians and Sliema
Bus access very close with lines to La Valetta or heading north
Rooms are large with shower + bathroom and a small balcony with a small table and two chairs, no free wifi in the rooms (!), tap water has a strong taste of chlorine
Only choose the rooms with sea view or you will end up looking at the car park
Pool is on the top of the building (except all the pool nozzles are not working), too bad it closes at 7pm.
Spa (indoor pool) is nice but often crowded, sauna and steam were working partially, and the steam could use some serious cleanup.

The food was fantastically prepared and served, the service was excellent and the personnel on duty willing to explaina nd assist in any query or difficulty. The area where we had the event was well prepared and decorated. The music was nice , plesent and soft enough to let you speak clearly. In a few words a wonderful evening with friends in a great restaurant.

Well located hotel but not immediately by the sea

Well located hotel but not immediately by the sea
Rooftop swimming pool
Urban beach down the street
The rooms are large but could use an upgrade. Taps, lighting. floor tile.
Good general reception but the buffet is not at the level of 5 stars. .. any dishes of international cuisine. .inefficient table and drink service .... it's long ... The day of our departure we had a midday meal there ... 2 hours for a starter and a main course each ... everyone seems comply with rules but no efficiency.
Do not take a 1/2 pension, there are dozens of nice restaurants at the foot of the hotel. .
Decent breakfast
Be careful, no one speaks French there. ...
Lots of cinema, but nothing five star
The rented room supposedly had a sea view ...
Yes ..... a small balcony between a wall and air conditioners !!!
Ps: Also beware of the excursion office on level 0 ... Despite the saying, no excursion in French and shuttles poorly indicated and driven by poorly behaved and overwhelmed drivers

Check-in:

Check-in:
Not great. Greated by snobby receptionist lady who told us to pay an extra 50euro a night for a room on the waterside. Mind you it is not peak season and the hotel wasn't even half full. We paid $280 per night to stare at a parking lot. No warm welcomes.

Room:
(538). Clean room but the toilet was in separate area away from sink, shower/bath. It was super awkward getting into the toilet room since it was so small. The toilet water would splash onto my legs since the room was so little I couldn't step away while flushing.

The air conditioner didn't work the 2 nights we were there. Frustrating. The last thing we wanted to do after a long day of traveling was have someone come in and fix the AC or have to move rooms after just unpackaging.

Other:
Roof top pool/bar was not open.
Couldn't even open mini-bar/fridge in the room unless paying or calling hotel reception.

Disappointed for the price we paid. This was La Meridians chance to wow their customer and they failed. Remember a little bit goes a long way. Too much competition to be treated like a nobody.

Need time to relax? Want something that will lift the weight of the world off your shoulders? Are you staying in the best hotel on the island? Even if you're not - the spa and service given by Le Meridien will be an absolute delight to your mind and body. Aromatherapy massage with dimmed light and wonderful body oils (all are available for purchase at the spa desk!) will soothe your senses and make you relaxed to the full.
The ladies who take care of you will explain everything that is being done and take care of you in the highest quality. Definitely recommend :)

Large room with bath, shower and terrace. Very clean. Breakfast is very extensive and lots of choice. Every morning someone is standing at your request to bake an egg or omelet, with or without vegetables. Very friendly staff. Nice swimming pool on the roof terrace with beautiful views of the sea. There is also a swimming pool, sauna and fitness room within the hotel. Is very well located. Many eateries nearby.

Excellent hotel, great view and nice food. Staff are super helpful. Rooms are clean, but a little dark for asians. The one problem is with the elevator. They are using a new system, but i had trouble touching the buttons, and more often, i touched the wrong floor.

Warn a few years ago at Le Meridien.
I can only say we liked it very much. Centrally located in St. Julians. Room top. Breakfast buffet rich and always everything there. Staff very good. I can recommend the hotel unreservedly.
Lots of good restaurants nearby. Public connections are very good. Car garage also available on request.

Like this SPG hotel. Amongst the better ones really. The room assigned was large and faces the bay. Can't get any better views than that surely. Located right in the middle of Balluta Bay, there are heaps of restaurants in the neighbourhood that you'll be spoiled for choice. Cleanliness, comfort, service and security are important for me. This Meridiem just about scores full marks.

It s located in such a convenient location (between St Julians and Sliema) and some of the rooms feature an incredible view over Balluta Bay and the homonymous church.
Check my Instagram to see what I mean @giuseppecannavoo.

All the guests have free parking which means no more hassle to find it outside trough the extreme traffic of Malta.
Breakfast was well made, staff was super nice and the Spa much appreciated.
Jamie and Chiara welcomed us during the check in and made us feel like home since the first step.
We had the chance to try out also the Atrio restaurant at the 3rd floor where we had a wonderful dinner and an exclusive service from the waiter Manuel!
Giuseppe of the bar was amazing as well!

With the well equipped 24/7 gym I was able to maintain my workout routine even during my holiday so that was a big plus!
Our room was very clean, very silent and with the perfect temperature inside which made our sleep perfect. Wifi connection was on point as well.

I am more than satisfied of my overall experience, definitely something to repeat!

Very large and spacious family room. The location of the hotel is excellent. Poor attention to detail, however, that leaves you perplexed in a five-star hotel. The breakfast is abundant but qualitatively not much.

We stayed in a standard double room, which was a generous size.
There were ice machines in the hallways which was handy.
There is a nice large spa area and a small rooftop pool.
There was a vast choice for breakfast, the coffee being especially tasty.
The hotel is in a good location to explore the bay.

Beautiful hotel and amenities. The customer service was exceptional especially Henry and Mario. Some tourists above our room were excessively noisy so we made a complaint and they fixed the issue no problems immediately. The day spa was glorious well worth the money we spent. I would definately stay here again. Best hotel of our 3 week trip.
