Anna A Coulson Review of Le Meridien St. Julians, Malta

Check-in:
Not great. Greated by snobby receptionist lady who told us to pay an extra 50euro a night for a room on the waterside. Mind you it is not peak season and the hotel wasn't even half full. We paid $280 per night to stare at a parking lot. No warm welcomes.
Room:
(538). Clean room but the toilet was in separate area away from sink, shower/bath. It was super awkward getting into the toilet room since it was so small. The toilet water would splash onto my legs since the room was so little I couldn't step away while flushing.
The air conditioner didn't work the 2 nights we were there. Frustrating. The last thing we wanted to do after a long day of traveling was have someone come in and fix the AC or have to move rooms after just unpackaging.
Other:
Roof top pool/bar was not open.
Couldn't even open mini-bar/fridge in the room unless paying or calling hotel reception.
Disappointed for the price we paid. This was La Meridians chance to wow their customer and they failed. Remember a little bit goes a long way. Too much competition to be treated like a nobody.
