If you are looking for a good place to he in Bora Bora, definetely Le Meridien is the place, it have a strategic position into the lagoon, the views are amazing and the service insuperable, it is right in the middle of the lagoon therefore you do not need anything else, the resort provides you water activities, turtle and shark feeding experiences and more. The shop inside does not have a lot of things so be sure to bring with you all the things that you may need, if not you can hire a water taxi to Ville to make small shops.

I went on a honeymoon, but everything was a dreamland, an island. Unlike Hawaii and Guam, which are full of Japanese people, it escaped from reality. it's the best. I have nothing to say. Hotel and customer service are all 5! I will go there again! ! !

Bora Bora is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. The overwater bungalow's are something not to be missed, if you like the water. We had a dinner delivered by canoe, to our patio. Very nice. :)

The Meridien has probably one of the best location of the island. Highly recommend to take the overwater villas at the end of the pier for more privacy and a unique view. The restaurants are quite enjoyable but nothing amazing. They have a natural reserve of sea turtle you can swim with as an amazing beach and lagoon

Hotel and location beautiful, postcard, as expected. Overwater bungalows simply outstanding, comfortable, functional, fun. Mid-level service and cuisine with high beverage prices (better than the Mediterranean restaurant of the French one), a slightly confusing breakfast. Cleanest Beach, you can take free snorkeling equipment and kayaks. Beautiful, interesting and educational guided tour of the turtle center. If you can do the tour in the sea that leads to swimming with sharks, stingrays and many other fish and admire the coral garden, only this output boat is worth the whole trip - spectacular)

From the time of arrival to departure our stay was magnificent. The staff was very attentive and always willing to go the extra mile. The grounds to the property was always well kept and looked great. We sampled the food in all three restaurants and the quality was good although the prices were on the high side but that s to be expected. Overall a five star experience.

The hotel is nice, but there could be better ones elsewhere. The staff made all the difference at this property. They are very attentive and listen to our needs. We wanted to have dinner at St Regis but it was fully booked. The Excursion Desk lady kept asking for availability, but no luck... So we decided to go to another restaurant. They went all the way to plan out the experience and arrange early pick up by Vaitape so we have some time to explore the town but didn't have to wait much.

The view of the Otemanu is priceless. This is probably one of the best view of it. Food at Le Tepanie is very good, and the server, Gwendoline, was excellent. She provided very attentive service and is a truly genuinely happy person. We love her to be part of our dinner service. I would recommend getting the full board package (breakfast and dinner) since it is definitely a way better deal than a la carte. Also, we got only one day with this package, and the hotel was completely fine with this.

I have to say the transfer from the airport to the resort was expensive, but the overall experience is worth every single penny. Restaurant staff members always try to know us better personally. Front desk staff can arrange virtually anything possible for us. Amenities may be a bit scarce. There's a nice beach and two "infinity pool." These pools are quite a distance from the beach, so when taking pictures, the beach cannot be avoided. Turtle Centre is nice and we can feed them.

Beautiful resort with 10/10 customer service! We felt very well taken care of from check in to check out. Because we are bonvoy members, we were upgraded to a mountain view bungalow for our last two days which was gorgeous (though our original lagoon view was also stunning:) We did the half-board (breakfast and dinner) package that was fantastic and no doubt saved us money. The food at the French restaurant (3-courses each night) was always top-notch and perfectly prepared/executed. We did a romantic dinner for 2 on the beach one night, that had its own special chef-prepared menu that we also got to keep a copy of, that was wonderful. 10/10 would recc this resort for its location (we took a couple of tours and saw some of the other bungalow resorts and feel that this one by far was the most picturesque with water and beach).

Nice resort in Bora Bora with great views of Mt Otemanu, especially at sunset. We stayed I. One of the beach bungalows, which had a nice stretch of sand by the inner lagoon. The Overwater bungalows seemed really close together and much smaller than those at neighbouring resorts, so not sure they are worth the extra money. They had some equipment for complimentary use (SUPs, kayaks, snorkelling gear, traditional canoe) as well as a 30 min sail in a traditional boat led by one of the staff, which was awesome!

We were in paradise for our honeymoon, great place and very friendly staff. We spent 6 days in relaxation, the excursion with a bath with sharks was a unique experience. Unfortunately I can not give 5 full stars for some precautions that in a hotel should be so: the souvenir shop is very surly and my questions seemed quite annoyed (he wanted to sell me as a monoi oil a coconut oil, instead of the classic monoi oil is the spa), the next day I went to change with the addition of difference; other flaws are the menus of the two restaurants: always the same for 6 days ... a menu change at least once a week is a must for such a structure. However, this paradise is worth trying!

Fantastic location, amenities and service. However, the quality of the dinner restaurants could be better, considering the prices and the hotel category. Also, the airport transfer is excessively expensive (alternative is to take the free Air Tahiti shuttle to Vaipate and then the comparatively cheaper hotel shuttle from there).

If anybody is trying to find good deals on hotels visit HoteIR ven. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!

A gorgeous resort in front of Bora Bora island. Bungalow on the sea are nice and they have a glass on the floor where you can see the sea inside you room. Room are clean a full of things and complementary accessories. You have a balcony where you can have bath sun and splash directly into the clear and blue water. Breakfast is good. The only negative thing is that I felt myself to much in a golden cage and I did not really felt the local feeling.

Great class, great site, exceptional breakfast, wonderful ladyboys team, excellent restaurants.
Glass-bottomed piles, bottle offered for our wedding, I thank the management.
Roberto, boss of the pearl of Tahaa had recommended us some waiters and other receptions to say hello to them they treated us very well.
We thank Ken and all the team of the nautical activities for their kindness and their gratuitousness and smiling, we wandered by boat, by kayak, they did all they could with an extreme kindness thanks to all the team .
We regretfully remove a star with regret for the excessive price of the shuttle that could have taken us for a few hours to visit the capital of Bora Bora, it should be free for the residents of the hotel.

My wife and I just got back from our honeymoon her...

My wife and I just got back from our honeymoon here. We both had a blast and felt that this hotel tops all others, considering what was inclusive and cost.

Positive Feedback:
1. Hotel Room: Over the water Mountain View Bungalows are a must! Beautiful view, your own deck, and the in floor beach view was amazing.
2. FREE on-site activities: stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling gear, large size chess game, volleyball court on the beach.
3. Hotel Location: BEST VIEW of all hotels and directly across from Motu Mute Mountain. Absolutely stunning view.
4. Restaurants/Food: they have 4 different locations on site. They have two restaurants and the Miki Miki Bar as well as a bar below.
5. Free wifi in the room and in business center.
6. Shark Reef Full day with Lunch: We did this fully day shark reff snorkeling adventure and had a BLAST! The Guides "Papi, Timi, Crazy" are so much fun and they show you so much. We even got to hold onto a shark as it pulled us through the water. Crazy fun and first time but was a blast. I recommend doing this activity.
7. Massage: This is also a must, we did a couple 80 minute massage with body polish. So relaxing and wonderful couple experience.

Other feedback:
There were a few things I felt that they could have done better on. It seemed that at the breakfast omelette maker/server was never smiling or in a good mood. All the other staff in all other places were great. They were a little slower than we would have liked for serving and seemed a bit under staffed overall in every location. I also felt that they should have more servers walking the beach and serving rather than having to come to the bar to order and then have them bring it back to where we are at.

About other reviews: After reading a few negative posts on other peoples feedback, I can only agree really on one thing. The service was a bit slow. I also noticed people mentioned no wifi and breakfast costs money; however not sure if it was our package or not, but breakfast buffet (which was amazing) was FREE and we ate every morning their. Wifi was also FREE.

I also fee that the price for this hotel was average (not too expensive, not too inexpensive) considering the location, amenities, etc. I mean it's Bora Bora so everything for anything is going to come at a cost. Drinks are definitely expensive so my recommendation is to go to the mainland the first day for $26 (USD) round trip, and buy a bunch of bottles of beer and liquor as well as some snacks as that will save you hundreds and hundreds easily. Most of the premium cocktails are around $20/drink. Beers range from $7-$9.50 per drink. Then the typicall cocktails range around $11-$15 USD.

The only thing that I wanted to do and didn't get a chance was the deep sea fishing. It was too costly for just my wife and I to go because there was just us two and to make it affordable we needed to find another couple who wanted to do it. Even then you're spending $500 USD per couple OR $1,000 USD if you are willing to pay and can't find another couple. I really wanted to do this, but wasn't about to spend $1,000 USD for this.

Overall, I still gave this 5 stars because although a little slow service, the whole experience was a blast and once in a lifetime. I wouldn't stay at any other hotel and mainly because price and location and activities they provide.

We stayed at Le Merdian on our honeymoon, and it was the one of the best relaxation places! I love being quite and not a big fan of crowds, and my husband loves water activities. So it was perfect for us to enjoy the resort. They offer many water activities, so while my husband's enjoying diving, I just enjoyed laying down at the beach and our 'overwater bagaloo' balcony. :) Very friendly staffs and good food! :)

We just got back from our amazing honeymoon at Le Meridien Bora Bora. From our arrival in Bora Bora to our departure, Le Meridien staff made our honeymoon wonderful and we were blown away with the service. We were a little worried about transfers to/from the airport, however, Le Meridien made this a smooth process. The staff was very friendly and made us feel very welcome at all times. As a pleasant surprise, our gorgeous bungalow was available as soon as we arrived to the hotel before check-in time so we were able to enjoy our bungalow a little earlier than expected! Additionally, the breakfast buffet was spectacular! We loved every second of our stay at Le Meridien Bora Bora! A truly once in a lifetime experience.

Over water bungalows - gorgeous natural design. Large and spacious. Giant soaking tub. Glass bottom floor to enjoy the sealife below. Natural light from every wall. Hot HOT water in the shower.

Beaches - multiple areas to enjoy the beach, so it feels less crowded than it may be. Plenty of open area to swim and snorkel. Fish are super friendly. Staff offers water equipment.

Turtle sanctuary - was the best, swimming with the turtles and cleaning them.

Food - breakfast buffet was my favorite.... tons of options from bacon to passion fruit. They dont hold back on the truffle oil in the truffle fries.

Staff - Best part of Le Meridian. Amazing, family type of staff. Willing to help at all cost. And I absolutely love and revere the fact that the resort embraces and respects homosexuality. It was refreshing to see it celebrated so openly.

We booked the Heremoana wedding ceremony to take place at the resort. From the minute we stepped off the boat from the airport, we were blown away by everyone we encountered. It's surprising to stay somewhere where the employees take the time to get to know you and remember you. Vaihau checked us in and was so friendly and accommodating. When we had our ceremony three days after checking in, I noticed her run over to the stairs so she could watch the ceremony and she looked like she was watching her own sister get married. My husband jumped into the water when he heard a man drowning and helped Mateo rescue him. The hotel wrote us a very lovely letter thanking us for it. Mateo was also incredibly thankful and always took time to talk to us whenever we saw him. I emailed the concierge to book a tattoo appointment in Vaitape well in advance and Cyril took great care of us. He also attended us when we checked in to make sure all of our transport was booked and we had everything we needed. Once we got our tattoos, everyone we talked to at the resort remembered and when they saw us, asked to see what we got.

Last but not least, Jennifer and Chloe helped us organize the wedding. I cannot even begin to express the gratitude and love we have for them. Every last detail was perfect. Everything was on time, the hair and makeup artist was wonderful, the photographer was wonderful, and we didn't have to worry about a thing. They were so friendly and personable and cared so much about our ceremony. I have been recommending Le Meridien Bora Bora to everyone I come across.

The resort was beautiful, but the staff is what will make sure I come back to this resort again in the future.

A show. Paradise beach, a truly exclusive place but also a bit expensive, but perfect for a honeymoon. The only flaw is that there is no kind of entertainment or music and the days end with the closing of the only bar at 11pm. For the rest, highly recommended for relaxing.

Had a wonderful couple days stay at the hotel. From welcome, to support throughout, and even multiple gifts - I felt like a valued guest. Property is beautiful - on the lagoon and facing Mt. Otemanu. We went for a beach hut though the overwater bungalow was tempting. Decided against the latter as no beach around :) Our hut was a good size and great quality, with lounge areas in and outside, and lagoon and pools just out the door. Multiple restaurants, bars, and infinity pools - the hotel offers a lot and yet gives the privacy you want. Breakfast was good but not excellent - understand the difficulties with supplying. Connection to/ from airport a bit pricy (~95$) but organized well. All in all, a blissful stay and I hope to be back.

Mostly fantastic! Arrival at the airport, boat to the hotel, the over water room gorgeous, views all around were amazing. The food was good but nothing to write home about. I would rank it average when compared to other resorts. The expense of food and drinks are off the charts. Was approx $24us for a cocktail. Domestic hinanu beer was approx $7.50.. about normal. Dinner buffet was good but again, off the charts expensive. We only ate there once. My wife didn't feel well (not food related) and only ate a little. We opted to leave early, the hostess felt bad for her so she discounted our meal. The discounted price was still over $100us. Also, there was termites in our room. We can deal with a few termites, but we called room service 2 separate occasions 24 hours apart and nothing was done. No one came to check or address the issue. Finally I chased down the house keeping manager and got a can of spray from her. Sprayed out own room and solved the issue on our own. Later we crossed paths with the hotel host and he offered us a new room. We opted to stay where we were as we took care of the termites. All in all it was a good experience. I would recommend this hotel to others. Good overall with some glitches.

The lagoon is amazing, so are the over water bunga...

The lagoon is amazing, so are the over water bungalows, don't ask for end of pier( costs more but view is worse, and there's zero privacy) instead opt for mountain view
Boats come far too close to the end of pontoon meaning your relaxing holiday is marred by near constant engine noise

Now for the reasons I'm only giving two stars

WILDLIFE: The overwater bungalows are deviod of marine life, with only a small colony of three to five sardine size fish living below your viewing hole.

FOOD: the food is mediocre at best and damned near extortion, avoid the polynesian buffet, the food is horrible and you're looking at $200USD (8700xpf+)for the privilege.

Likewise the lunch restaurant is also massively inflated cost wise and tastes bland, the mahi mahi burger is $30USD and does not come with any sides.
Pizza $25USD is large however poorly made, with half inch thick cheese and a pastry base instead of dough.

Tepanie was ok food at a slightly inflated price, however was still priced beyond the quality given.

MAINTENANCE: our room had lifting panels, damaged or drip marked paint, the glass door was beginning to separate also the curtain had torn free of it's rings, the sinks had plugs that would spring out of the basin and the safety rails were quite flimsy.

Now for the good
SERVICE: everyone greets you with a smile and is happy to help where they can, the cleaners also do a fantastic job.

BED: the bed is super comfy.

VIEWS: as you'd expect to lagoon and mountain view is incredible.

Next visit to French Polynesia, we will leave Bora Bora out, and spend more time in Moorea, the accommodation, culture ,food and activities all far surpass Bora Bora as a whole.

That's not even bringing in the cost difference.

The hotel and the service was great.

There is only one thing below my expectation, the see is too shallow and not much undersea life to see when u go swimming around ur water bungalow

The hotel and service are really comfortable and comfortable ~
The only flaw is that the water near the beach is boring, there is nothing to see for snorkeling, there are no fish, coral reefs and other creatures

The management of Le Meridien ruined a trip of a lifetime. Our family traveled over 5,000 miles to Bora Bora. Our beach villa was infested with termites. At night the droppings from the termites would fall onto our children while they were sleeping. The droppings landed on the floors, eating areas, and seating areas. Management's response: We treat every six months, we will need to close this villa and re-treat". They did not offer to re-locate us. I called management to our villa three times. The situation got worse each day, and at night the termites would land on our computer screens. By the third night, our kids were sleeping in our master bedroom suite. Upon return I reached out for a fair monetary settlement. Their offer was one night free. If this was my resort, I would comp the villa for the week, and offer another trip of a lifetime at no charge. Instead they are slow to respond and their offer lacks sincerity. Bora Bora is beautiful, the natives could not be nicer. The water is gin clear and the diving is spectacular. It s a shame that such a wonderful trip would be tarnished by such poor management.

The place and the structure are so enchanting that they leave an indelible emotion in our memories.
The bungalows are really cozy and quiet. We recommend those in front of the mountain, to face the sea directly and be able to swim in total freedom.
Excellent breakfast although we would have expected a little more variety on the restaurant menu.
We stayed for two weeks and we were able to participate in various excursions, among which we recommend bathing with sharks that, I want to point out, live in total freedom and are attracted by the food that is offered to them. Highly recommended! Sooner or later, we shall back.
