Amazing location, outstanding service, overwater bungalows are unbelievable! Onsite restaurants are pricey but food is good. Loved the breakfast buffet in the morning!

A gorgeous resort in front of Bora Bora island. Bungalow on the sea are nice and they have a glass on the floor where you can see the sea inside you room. Room are clean a full of things and complementary accessories. You have a balcony where you can have bath sun and splash directly into the clear and blue water. Breakfast is good. The only negative thing is that I felt myself to much in a golden cage and I did not really felt the local feeling.
One of my favorite most beautiful places in the world
We visited the Le Meridien June 13th through the 18th for our honeymoon; this was definitely a paradise vacation. The resort was breathtaking when arriving from the airport. I would advise future guest to include the half board package with your stay because it covers all your breakfast and dinners during your stay. You will not have to stress about all the added expenses to your bill when checking out on the last day. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. I have brought the Tahitian greeting "La Ora Na" back to Texas. I would also recommend future guest to stay in a water bungalow. It is more beautiful than the pictures you see online. I enjoyed diving/cannon balls off the back deck into the lagoon. I felt like a little kid making splashes in the pool. FYI all the tv channels are in French so I advise you to learn a little of the language if you want to watch tv before going to sleep. Everyday we spent most of our time at the beach looking over the lagoon. It would always put a smile on my face looking over the water knowing that I am on vacation in Bora Bora!! The activities, Kayaking and paddle boarding, are free and they are fun. If you want to exercise and have fun then I would suggest paddle boarding all over the lagoon but try not to fall off! I also recommend you participating in the shark and ray snorkel excursion. I would never have imagined myself swimming with sharks, stingrays, and manta rays before this trip. It is an experience you will never forget and your friends will enjoy hearing the stories and seeing the pictures of your wild adventure. Anyways I am sad the trip ended so quickly. Thank you staff and management for a wonderful stay at your resort. My wife and I hope to visit again some day.
Thanks!
Best place for honeymoon. Great resort in an amazing location
Hotel with an exemplary organization. The staff is friendly, polite and courteous. Possibility to paddle board or kayak with incredible views . The hotel has a private lagoon with a variety of magnificent fish . A little more for the Turtle Center . This place is definitely worth a visit !!
I really admire this marvellous hotel with its scenic beauty!
My daughter and I stayed 2 nights and it was fabulous, especially the activities team of Tom, Jay, Thierry, Mateo, Ken :) They sang, taught us how to paddle board, prepared the kayaks, shared stories and made us smile..enhancing our stay! Accommodations where very comfortable. Loved the glass bottom floor in the room. I would definitely stay again
Very nice resort in a very beautiful setting. Many activities are available on site and the size of the place makes it seem to the client that there is no one in the complex except them.
In addition the food is very good which seems to be an exception in the region!
However two negative points: first the gym is not ideally located. Another really negative point, some of the staff fall too easily into silliness while a simple cordiality is expected which is heartbreaking and unpleasant.
The 5 stars are just deserved.
Little extra: the turtle care center.
Spent 5 nights here in January. The entire staff was absolutely WONDERFUL I couldnt reccomend this anymore to anyone. Safi made me we feel like I was being welcomed back home. She truly is a kind and wonderful human being... I loved it here!!!!!! Feeding this fish while eating is very enjoyable aswell!
We had a dream holiday in a sea stilt with glass floor. Paradise setting
Very nice place to stay.Excellent service, wonderfull people. We will go there again.
Our honeymoon was punk d - not for lack of funds or planning but because of poor choice in resorts. Our story is a little long but worthwhile if you value your money and health at all. You can see the full story on our Facebook review.
1. Food made us super sick on separate days. I fell ill on the first day, my husband on the 3rd day. Most entrees are fish (raw or seared). Not what you want when you are sick.
2. They ignore any requests you make. I.e. Far bungalow (even when willing to pay), simple updates on excursions they book for you, simple medications are not available on resort. They promise a honeymoon package and don't deliver it.
3. Turn-down service is non-existent. Rooms are filthy!
4. Staff is simply an army of morons. No common sense or experience in providing top tier service. I would have received better service and cleaner rooms at a motel 6.
Update: We wrote this descriptive letter to see what the resort would offer to make us whole again. Pleasant Holidays, agency we booked through, offered a whopping $400 voucher for a future trip. This figure isn't even 5% of what we invested in this trip. Le Meridien offered nothing saying that we should have alerted them of the issues when we were there- which we did and they offered no help even then. This place is a train-wreck. Go to Saint Regis or the Intercontinental if you want any hope of a good time!
Truly 5 stars! Amazing location and thd staff couldn't do enough for you.
We stayed in OWB and it was awesome. The glass floor is really different than other places. Service at hotel is over 5 stars. When we booked transfer to main lsland they asked us our whole plan. While on island we changed plan and decided to take earlier boat back. To our surprise the boat guy knew our plans and asked us any particular reason we changed it or just. They always keep a tab of what we were doing for our safety. Restaurants are really good and bars had good food as well.
Fantastic in every detail awesome staff. Beautiful attention to detail from everyone and so many activities one needs to be here 14 days at a time. Coming back next year.
The service here is excellent! Everyone always greets you with a smile on their face. The on-site turtle center gives you extra free activities to do besides the beach. The room is clean and the AC works well. Paying up for one of the rooms with a better view is worth it if you're going to be around for a couple of nights.
Except for a minor nuisance issue, this place is excellent. Its location is top notch. Lots to do at the resort, we wish we had a few extra days to just enjoy the resort itself. They have a lagoon area, a few pools, swim up bars, a turtle centre, and many more features. The glass floors in the over the water bungalows are amazing, and one of the largest when compared to the other resorts in Bora Bora. We were lucky to visit after some apparenr major renovations, so its a much nicer place than years ago (apparently). They do offer a daily boat shuttle at different times, to get to the main village area in bora bora. But if you are doing activities, it was worth it to just pay the extra amount to get the activity company to pick and drop you off right at the resort. The staff at the breakfast buffet, and at the restaurants, were particularly wonderful and pleasant. An excellent experience overall.
P.S. sunsets here are amazing.
Super hotel very luxurious. Bora Bora is a splendor
Amazing place to unwind and enjoy paradise. The activities such as swimming with the sharks, sting rays and turtles was amazing. Jet ski tour was a fantastic experience to see the islands. The turtle centre was an unreal experience to see and witness the efforts to help preserve green sea turtles. Some of the restaurant staff service levels and attention to detail has room for improvement
Good but not great hotel. Overpriced for quality. Understaffed. Worse part was myself and other guests were bitten by bed-bugs:(
Amazing hotel, great staff, wonderful overwoter bungalow
My grade is 5 and praise. Wonderful place in a paradise island. Very nice staff and excellent quality food
A truly amazing place complete with equally as amazing service. From the airport arrival through check-in and beyond the service was great. Turtle Centre staff also incredibly helpful and enjoyable to interact with.
Great resort. Very friendly staff and amazing views.
Delicious welcome and lovely place. Excellent cuisine and relaxation guaranteed.
The most beautiful place in the world. Without ifs and buts.
Definitely better than pictures, this is truly paradise.
Came to celebrate 30 years of marriage and am not disappointed. We (Jim and Penny Warner) are day 4 into our stay and everything here has been excellent. They are so well organized and take the time to know who you are. Food is excellent and service is spectacular!
Absolutely tremendous. A fantastic place for our 50th wedding anniversary trip. The staff were exceptional, the food excellent and the water and scenery tremendous. Thank you for fulfilling our dreams.
Service, location, food and cleanliness. Everything about this place is exotic and perfect!
It was great! The welcome, great, the food, great, the employees, great ... ect I had a wonderful time
I paid for a vacation here but cancelled 3 months prior to the vacation and I ve called 3 times emailed many times provided bank statements and still they can t seem to get me my refund it s now been 6 months. At this point it s personal and I feel that I cannot be trusted I m sure it s a great spot but do not pre-pay. You get the runaround for months. Very unhappy I ve been told many times they would process the refund but yet as of today still no refund.
I am broke and stuck on this island. #romeo noddles
Very nice hotel, a little aging. On a family vacation, we had a Villa made up of 2 bedrooms joined together by a stay by the lagoon and equipped with a mini swimming pool (very pretty and a lot of space) but the place is infested with mosquitoes even during the day: a pity that little effort be made to avoid the invasion of mosquitoes at nightfall (around 6 p.m.): they pass through the openwork. We were devoured.
Many activities offered and a superb sandy beach where children were able to create solid sandcastles. The hotel lends beach toys. The children enjoyed sailing on Vaiana's sailing canoe (well done and thank you to Matteo).
We enjoyed the food. Room service a bit long at noon.
The laundry service is affordable (at the same time the client from a neighboring villa brought us our package of clean linen, delivered to him by mistake !!)
Spectacular, top of the galaxies
It was a unique experience, I stayed in the overwater bungalow and I really enjoyed it! The glass on the floor is huge!
I made a special request to clean the room and purchase a champagne !!
Everything was according to my request !!
The view from Mount Otemanu is incredible
2 infinity pools with views of the hill!
Restaurant with very good food!
Great service from the staff !!
I have nothing to complain about, I would go back and stay at this hotel again if problems !!
Indescribable!
All the meals we had were great! The breakfast is divine!
Perfect for stand up paddle, I was able to see many rays and sharks while walking with the board.
Excellent wifi even in the water.
Super friendly, fun and helpful staff.
I would have given this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the food. It was not fresh or taste fresh. The service great the atmosphere great our shack over the ocean awesome. Go to main Island for food or jump around to other Hotels.
Best holiday/vacation I've ever taken in my life. You have to get a room over the ocean to check out the glass floor. The lagoon is stunning, the food is pricey, but good. Don't forget to check out the turtle sanctuary and rescue area.
Incompetent staff overpriced restaurant and not good at all compare to other restaurant
I went through the concierge to book a restaurant outside and when I will have to leave I am told that I do not have a reservation so the evening spoil any gesture of the hotel to compensate for this error
The activities offered at the concierge are 40% more expensive than the providers on the island I have done several hotels in Polynesia and this one is the worst of the worst
Abosolet amazing. The rooms were very comfortable. The views stunning. So many fish everywhere. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly. Food was tasty. A perfect paradise.
Went here for the second half of our honeymoon and it was the best experience of our lives. Gorgeous views, amazing activities, and the best accommodations I've ever seen. Our bungalow over the water was AMAZING! The food at the hotel was well made and the drinks were perfect. We'll be coming back here soon.
Lovely place good for couple, good food but the breakfast a bit poor, and at night no music nothing to do, a bit expensive, but the best lagoon that I ever seen, quite very friendly staff
Magic place, very kind people (mostly; desk man Luv. only medium quality, look out what he said), great weather, good water bungalows, magnificent viev of the mountains (Otemanu)
Spectacular ... beautiful site and personalized attention is great ... the bungalow is beautiful
Beautiful island and beautiful hotel . I've never seen so many transsexuals in my life on one island they practically overpopulate the whole island and they're really friendly too
Excellent. wonderful oasis, overwater bungalows attention to detail, local dining and really stratospheric dinner services for excursions and entertainment, all at the top!
We spent the day there and it seems to be in paradise, especially thanks to the small internal lagoon with turtles. I don't say anything about sleeping because I didn't sleep there.
Everything is plain fantastic here . Just to in one of the most beautiful places on earth must be enough for 99 percent of us mere mortals ...
I apologize for this long needed/awaited review .Le Meridien Bora Bora is by far one of the best experiences I have had thus far in my years of travel.
I definitely give this place a 5 out of 5 stars. The welcome at the airport and at the hotel are the first things that immediately draw you in to paradise, with beautiful aromatic leis and genuine smiles from the hosts. Checking in was later than normal due to the room not yet being ready (no problem), being all inclusive, the open air bar was more than enough to fill the void with great drinks, amazing scenery, and wonderful staff. Walking into the premium over water bungalow was more than worth the wait key card activated lights and a/c, open vents to allow constant fresh air circulation, sheer sheet curtain surrounding the bed, crystal clear glass floor panels, flat screen smart tv, stand up shower, separate bathtub area, study desk, table, chair, back patio that leads out to a spectacular view of the island mountain, beach chairs with spiral stairs leading to a shower and ladder that allow entry into the sparkling lagoon The staff above else made this experience absolutely the best and I couldn t ask for any better .A shout out to these Staff members for exemplary performance above and beyond expectations that made/make me want to come back next year if not twice a year : Cyril(excursion specialist), Donata( bartender extrodinaire) , Tyler, Mateau (most awesomest person ever) and an amazing french female concierge who the moment her name is given to me shall be praised beyond all I had a list that somehow has been lost to the computer world, but as your name is remembered and/or mentioned, they shall be said/ and not forgotten All forms of praise and thanks from Sir Jay, Pikachu, Stitch and more. My love and regards to you all. I hope to see you again once/twice in 2019.
Excellent welcome. Unforgettable stay. Informative staff. Room on the lagoon clean and comfortable.
Paradise....from the view from our room to the staff and food.......way exceeded our expectations......will be coming back for sure.
Gorgeous views. Lots of activities. Wonderful staff. Pricey.
Fantastic place to stay. We stayed for three weeks in January 2017 in the best suite the resort has (Overwater End Of Pontoon bungalow with an unobstructed view of Mt Otemanu) and it was SPECTACULAR!
Like - just - W.O.W.
Friendly staff, amazing accommodation. Good food (though pricey - be warned) at the various resort restaurants. And the VIEW was AMAZING!
Only complaint - and it's minor - is that the room's air conditioning unit wasn't powerful enough to cool the room down properly. And we ended up buying a fan from a shop on Bora Bora itself and having that next to the bed to supplement the air conditioning (which was pretty much on 24/7 due to the heat). We left the fan in the room when we left, so you're welcome whoever's using it after us ;)
Huge 5-stars for the Le Meridien. Would go back there in a heart-beat.
By far the best choice we have made too date when on holiday!
Fabulous, unforgettable place, very kind staff, wonderful sea, wonderful views, with the possibility of access to more beautiful beaches with the possibility of taking a boat trip with a local person and taking the paddle, excellent and plentiful breakfast, dinner excellent with characteristic shows, highly recommended very nice
We stayed at this beautiful hotel for three nights on our honeymoon, and it was pure bliss. We splurged on an over-water bungalow, and although it may be a once in a lifetime experience, we are certainly glad we did, as it was amazing. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with whatever requests we had. The views of the island and the water were absolutely stunning, both from our bungalow and from the beach. The resort area is huge, which makes it never feel too busy, which is very nice. The food was very tasty with a decent amount of variety. The only real negative I'd have (and it's a small one) is the snorkeling isn't that great from the resort, but I think that's the same with basically all of the Bora Bora resorts. If you are planning a trip to Bora Bora definitely consider Le Meridien!
An amazing honeymoon location! we were met by 3 staff at 10pm at the airport. They gave us each a frangipani necklace and ice cold bottle of water on the boat trip to the resort. We had overwater bungalow number 235. Amazing views of the mountain! We were given a full bottle of champagne, a parero (sarong), and a cap as gifts. The first night we laid on the floor for ages watching the fish under our bungalow. We swam straight off our bungalow into crystal clear and calm waters. We stayed 7 days and didn't see any reef sharks. We saw about 20 species of fish and 4 stingrays over the bungalows. We also saw an eel, crabs, lizards, and of course the gorgeous turtles. The turtle tour is worthwhile and the marine biologist there is just lovely!
The staff at Le Meridien are amazing! The food was delicious! Our package included the breakfast buffet and 2 course a la carte lunch. Both were fantastic and so much food we had to walk it off each time. The fresh fruit is to die for! I will really miss the freshly baked bread and pastries. We also ate once at the dinner buffet (french theme) and I had escargot for the first time (delicious). The price for the dinner buffet was quite high, but considering the amount of food that you could chose from, there would be a lot of waste I'd expect.
I mostly drank cocktails by the pool, which were so delicious!! The lady at the bar is so friendly too. My husband mostly drank the local bear which he said was really good and suited the climate (normally he drinks specialty beers here in NZ). My husband took over a thousand photos (no joke). It really was a magical stay!!
Attention read until the end. Very nice complex and very well kept, food, friendliness, services of a high standard. Highly recommended is the all-day excursion to see sharks and stingrays, the turtle hospital is also very beautiful and formative. In short, 10 and praise! The only flaw in our stay is the restaurant manager where you have breakfast in the morning. There is a French woman named "gaelle" or something similar that is grumpy and tries to create only problems. Other couples also complained about this person, we also communicated it to the reception. It is a pity, for all the staff, to complain about the rudeness of this woman. We hope to take serious action.
very nice resort. My only weakness was that it did not display the same amount of hospitality as my last resort in Moorea. My wife might disagree and give it five stars
The place are heaven on earth but price little pricey for everything but if you have breakfast and dinner package then you don't have to spend much
Exceptional customer service, friendly staff with always a greeting. Rooms 5 stars and cleaned daily. Resort has plenty of things to do outside of the great activities. Plenty of restaurants and shops and the scenery is unmatched.
iorana! This is the best hotel in the world! Everything perfect, room, food, staff members, landscapes, animals, nature! Maururu :)
Magnificent a very beautiful stay among boud the welcoming welcoming staff and unforgettable moments with gwendoline a ray of sun at the restaurant Tipanie we thank her with all our heart
Well as any traveler worth their black card will attest the key point to any 5 star is the ability to provide worl
Big disappointment at all levels. Small and aging stilts, very average or even insignificant catering ..., sad and very European staff, non-existent transit room (vulgar common room in the basements) ... The hotel has changed owners and is no longer in live up to its reputation. Our visit in October 2019 will remain the black point of our Polynesian trip. Certainly the view of the otemanu mountain is splendid but that is not enough.
Go your way you will be better off elsewhere.
Amazing location. Amazing staff. Amazing food. Our trip here was easy throughout and a fantastic experience.
Amazing hotel and overwater bungalow. The food is amazing, but the food at the St Regis was awesome. The beaches at the Le Meridian were beautiful and we had beautiful sunsets everyday.
